Abstract

Fertility of planting media is one of the critical success factors in plant production activities. The use of local microorganisms in increasing the fertility of planting media can be an alternative in the use of synthetic fertilizers and help realize the independence of rural communities in plant cultivation. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge about soil microorganism breeding techniques to increase the fertility of the growing media. The target groups in this activity are the Women Farmers Group (KWT) and the Mandapajaya Village Community, Cilebak District, Kuningan Regency. In accordance with the expected target, the activity was attended by KWT and representatives of farmers. All participants who attended followed the activity until it was finished. The participants also asked several questions related to the material presented during the discussion session. At the end of the discussion, the participants also said that they understood the material that had been delivered and planned to implement the material. Abstract

Garlic has properties for health, such as preventing the presence of bacteria and cancer, garlic contains allicin compounds and contains vitamin C, where these compounds can boost the immune system to fight germs. Therefore, garlic can be alternative to maintain endurance, by fermenting it into a garlic herbal product counseling aims to foster creativity, and create anattitude of caring for the environment, as well as understanding the positive impact of natural resource processing on the environment, health, social and especially the economy. This community service activity is also carried out to help take advantage of the potential of partner areas and help increase the income of the local community, as an alternative creativity in overcoming the direct impact of post-Covid-19 on the economic aspect. Counseling in the form of presentations, short lectures, and demonstrations with the production of black garlic.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, food processing that is halal, safe, and nutritious is necessary to increase immunity and maintain health. The purpose of this community service is to provide education on 'basil' (food safety and nutrition) which includes processing food that is halal, safe, healthy, and nutritious for posyandu cadres during the Covid-19 pandemic. The activity was carried out through a zoom meeting application for 30 posyandu cadres in Pasir Buncir Village in March-April 2021. The material provided covered the concept of halal, safe, healthy, and nutritious food processing. The success of the activity is measured using a pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using the dependent t-test for the one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the average knowledge score (p = 0.001) for posyandu cadres between the pre-test, namely 60.0 to 86.5 during the post-test. Food safety education programs need to be carried out in stages from posyandu cadres to pregnant women so that food safety and nutrition practices can be directly implemented in the food supply at the household level.

Abstract

Kebondalem Madurejo is one of the villages which is the route that tourists pass from Yogyakarta to the tourist sites of Ijo Temple and Breksi Cliff. The main problem is that this design has an agricultural land area of ​​more than 50% and is the livelihood of the residents. The condition in the form of green land is important as a buffer zone for the nearby tourist complex. Instead of being managed properly, this green land is threatened to become land for land conversion. The function of green land is meant as a buffer zone to support the core area, namely the tourist complex. Based on this background, green land requires knowledge and concrete actions in management in the form of land intensification. The aim of this PkM is to provide education to the public regarding intensification in managing agricultural land and/or those managed with agroforestry through activities with extension and sharing methods. Planting and how to propagate by cuttings are used as demonstration methods to achieve the goal of increasing understanding and awareness of the community in maintaining the management of their yards. The results of this PkM are expected to increase and continue the awareness of residents to intensify the existing green land starting from the yard. This PkM will also produce examples of mini yard plots which will be added with the Xanthstemon sp flower as a plant that has the potential to be used as food for honey bees.

Abstract

Increasing benefits is the main goal of rural community empowerment initiatives. Therefore, its role and existence is very important in helping to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the rural economy. Tanjung Lesung is a popular tourist spot in Indonesia whose strategic location is very important in the development of a tourist village. However, the public's perception of the development and planning of tourism villages is not yet optimal. The low level of public awareness in improving the quality of tourism villages and homestays in the regions is one example of the need for assistance from academics. This program is intended to provide basic training in homestay management. The method used in this service is to conduct presentations and discussions, regarding understanding of tourist villages, homestay management, sapta pesona and traditional food production through a process of mentoring and monitoring. The subject of the activity was 34 people who became homestay owners who were members of the Tanjung Jaya Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). The conclusion from this community service activity is that good homestay management is a key factor in creating a safe, comfortable and tourist-friendly tourist village. This is what tourists expect so that in managing homestays, they must meet service product standards so that the village community's economy can increase

Abstract

Traditional community knowledge about plant species, especially home garden plants that produce natural dyes, can have a positive influence on the progress of science and technology in the textile sector. The existence of information about natural dyes of woven fabrics from plants in the yard of the house is expected to increase income because it can produce woven fabrics that have a higher selling value based on local wisdom. This service activity is carried out in 7 stages starting from the socialization stage to the stage of monitoring the coloring results. Community members were very enthusiastic in participating in the activities. The results of the extraction of dyes from plant organs in the yard of the house are directly applied to the threads that have been provided. Abstract

The high rate of population growth in big cities which is not matched by an increase in welfare, results in higher social inequality that occurs in the social environment. As the population density increases and is not followed by an increase in per capita income, the community bears a heavy burden in meeting their basic needs. There are children who come from underprivileged families so they do not get their right to education. This is what happened in the slum area where families mostly work as scavengers in the Pondok Ranji area, Bintaro, South Tangerang. This community service activity program for street children consisted of simple English for children, making various creative creations, and watching the Folklore film together, which was attended by 25 children ranging in age from 3 to 13 years at the Save Street Child Foundation, Pondok Ranji, South Tangerang. By increasing the capacity and basic knowledge provided, it is hoped that it will increase curiosity to continue to improve knowledge and skills and increase enthusiasm for children to go to school.

Abstract

Fishermen in Hoat Sorbay Sub-district, Southeast Maluku Regency are dependent on the sea, this sub-district has potential waters with many fish resources because located in ten archipelagic waters which potential famous for reef fish and migration route for leatherback turtles. The high level of fishing activities followed by mores illegal activities. Generally, they uses explosives, poison, trawl nets, and cause the coral reefs damaged, then fishermen's catches will decreases. This study aims to repair the coral reefs damaged, provide training and counseling to preserving the marine environment. We use methods training, counseling and mentoring in this study and gives output 24 units of reef ball and biorock fish apartment placed in the waters of Warhu Island. Monitoring found that several types of fish such as the Acanthuridae family or surgeonfish or botana fish have occupied the biorock or fish apartment. In addition, there are fish with the Siganidae family or baronang fish and also a little bit of carnivorous fish species such as Lethrinidae family or lencam fish. In the future, the waters area of Warhu Island will become a new fishing ground, because more of the fish are the target of fishermen’s catches.

Abstract

School-age children are an age group that is growing and experiencing brain development which is highly dependent on regular food intake so that school-age children are required to have breakfast every day. Adequate intake of energy and nutrients every day can support and improve learning, mental, physical concentration in children. The purpose of this service is to socialize the importance of breakfast to students of SDN 09 Kenagarian Sijunjung so that they become healthy children. Community service activities were carried out on December 15, 2022 at SDN 09 Kenagarian Sijunjung. Activities carried out in the form of dissemination of material regarding the importance of breakfast, socialization of material regarding nutritional needs during child growth, questions and answers, and distribution of breakfast to elementary school students. From this activity, elementary school students know the importance of breakfast, and having breakfast can concentrate on participating in class activities that day. It can be concluded that with this activity elementary school students understand that breakfast is important in order to be a healthy child because breakfast is important during the growth period to provide daily nutritional value.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is starting to be carried out by the community as well as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as an alternative to earn income, among others by utilizing information technology and telecommunications. One of the market places, namely Bukalapak, can help small and large entrepreneurs in developing their business to make it more developed. This community service training program aims to make people around the Yayasan Kreasi Insan Nusantara (YaKIN) in East Sudimara Village, Ciledug, Tangerang, able to start an online business with relatively light capital with the Bukalapak market place. Some of the obstacles felt by the surrounding community are the lack of training facilities and teaching staff in the Yayasan Kreasi Insan Nusantara environment, the lack of public interest in online entrepreneurship. Therefore, the use of the internet, technology and telecommunications through Bukalapak online market place sales training, is expected to help the community within the Yayasan Kreasi Insan Nusantara environment to be able to start an online business starting from opening an online store, filling out products and marketing them to earn additional income. In this activity, several stages were carried out to obtain information on initial needs, namely observations, interviews, and literature studies. At the time of the training, using methods, theoretical explanations and practicals directly to participants. The results obtained from this training, the community in the Kreasi Insan Nusantara Foundation environment understands how to manage an online store on Bukalapak.com as a free medium, know and understand Search Engine Optimization techniques in improving online store marketing and its products. Thus, community businesses can increase their sales, and can maximize the marketing of community business products through online marketplaces.
