Abstract

The problems found in this study were regarding the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based Student Worksheets teaching materials which still rarely used set material. Besides that, there are also several CTL-based LKPDs on the set material that are less able to help students relate the material studied to real everyday life, the questions presented in the LKPD are also still not simple, making it difficult for students to understand the material. So from this problem, a problem formulation emerged, namely how to develop CTL-based LKPD on the subject of the set, is the CTL-based LKPD on the set material suitable for use as a learning medium? and how do students respond to CTL-based LKPD on set material? The purpose of this study was to determine whether the CTL-based LKPD on the set material was appropriate or not and to find out the students' responses to the developed LKPD. This type of research is a type of research and development (Research and Development or R & D) which is modified into 3-D. The subjects of this study were lecturers and teachers of mathematics as validation of material and media experts and 10 students of PAB 3 Saentis Private Junior High School. The object of this research is to develop student worksheets based on contextual teaching and learning on the subject of the set. The research instrument is the LKPD questionnaire for expert validation and student responses. Validity results can be obtained through the assessment of material experts, media experts and students. Based on the calculation of the average percentage of assessment experts given by material experts is 82.9% and the assessment given by media experts is 83.7% and the results of the assessment of student responses are 89.85%. So it can be concluded that the LKPD based on contextual teaching and learning on the subject of the set is declared valid and feasible to be used as a learning medium because it has met the validity requirements in the table used.

Abstract

The Influence of Learning Motivation and Emotional Intelligence on Student Learning Outcomes. This study aims to reveal 1) the effect of learning motivation, 2) the effect of emotional intelligence on learning outcomes, and 3) the effect of learning motivation and emotional intelligence on high grade students' learning outcomes on student learning outcomes. This type of research is a correlational study. Sampling in this study used a total sampling technique. Collecting data on learning motivation and emotional intelligence were collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is simple and multiple correlation analysis and significant test using t-test. , t-count>t-table at the 0.05 level of significance. (2) Furthermore, the statistical results of emotional intelligence on learning outcomes are obtained tcount = 5.3 and ttable = 1.67, (3) Then the statistical results for learning motivation and emotional intelligence on learning outcomes are obtained fcount = 20.48 and ftable = 3.32, fcount>ftable. This means that there is an influence of learning motivation and emotional intelligence on student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 01 Nansabaris Padangpariaman

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still students who are less able to relate socially with other people. Students' problems related to interpersonal intelligence, it can be seen that the behavior of students in class XI mipa SMA Negeri 1 Bungo has problems regarding interpersonal intelligence in general at school. The purpose of this study is to describe the development of interpersonal intelligence of students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Bumgo 1.) To reveal the interpersonal intelligence of students seen from social sensitivity. 2.) To reveal the interpersonal intelligence of students seen from social insight. 3.) To reveal the interpersonal intelligence of students seen from social communication. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, the research population of students in SMA Negeri 1 Bungo the sample to be carried out in the study is 133 students. The sample in this study is class XI MIPA by using random sampling technique. The results of the study on the Interpersonal Intelligence Development Profile of Students in Class XI Mipa SMA Negeri 1 Bungo Jambi Province seen from the identification results were generally in the very high range with a percentage of 60.90%. This means that many students have very high interpersonal intelligence in SMA Negeri 1 Bungo. Then interpersonal intelligence is divided into 3 indicators, namely: 1) interpersonal intelligence can be seen from social sensitivity is in the very high category 67.67%, 2) interpersonal intelligence can be seen from social insight is in the very high category 56.39%, 3) Interpersonal intelligence can be seen from social communication which is in the very high category of 60.15%. Based on the results of the study, it can be recommended to students in order to further improve interpersonal intelligence well

Abstract

The background of this research is that there has not been an evaluation of group guidance services carried out by BK teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin so that the success of the group guidance services provided has not been measured in terms of effectiveness and success. This study aims to describe: 1) Evaluation of the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin seen from the evaluation process, 2) Evaluation of the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin seen from the evaluation of results. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 2 Merangin who were members of the group guidance service group. The sampling technique was carried out with a total sampling of 29 people. The research data was obtained through a questionnaire which was analyzed using the percentage technique. The results of this study on the evaluation of the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin which showed that: 1) the evaluation of the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin was in the good category with a percentage of 44.83%. 2) evaluation of the implementation of group guidance services at SMA Negeri 2 Merangin seen from the evaluation results are in the good category with a percentage of 44.83%. This research is recommended for BK teachers to evaluate guidance and counseling services, especially group guidance services on a regular basis, because through this evaluation teachers can get information about the success of the services provided

Abstract

This research is motivated by the obstacles of BK teachers in providing questionnaires to analyze the needs of students through WhatsAPP Group, students who do not respond and are indifferent in the implementation of the information services provided and the obstacles of BK teachers in determining information service materials to be provided through WhatsAPP Group . The purpose of this study is to describe 1). Planning, 2). Implementation, 3). Evaluation, 4). Result analysis 5). Follow-up in the implementation of online guidance and counseling teacher information services. This research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method. The research population was 49 BK teachers who were selected by purposive sampling technique as many as 30 BK teachers samples. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Meanwhile, for data analysis using descriptive statistics with percentage techniques. The results of research on the implementation of online information service programs at SMPNs throughout Padang Pariaman Regency are seen from 1). Planning is in the effective category, 2). Implementation is in the effective category, 3). Evaluation is in the effective category, 4). The analysis of the results is in the effective category, 5). Follow-up is in the effective category. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for BK teachers to further improve the implementation of online information services in order to get even better results.

Abstract

The background of this research is to determine the role of the principal in a school, especially in guidance and counseling. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the role of the principal in coordinating the programed BK activities. 2) be responsible for implementing BK services in schools. 3) facilitate, provide opportunities and provide support to BK teachers. 4) provide support for every program implemented by the BK teacher. 5) give opinions to the BK teacher on the BK plan. 6) carry out monitoring and evaluation activities. This study uses research methods using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The subject of this research is the principal of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang. The researcher acts as a direct interviewer to collect data through key informants, namely the principal and additional informants, namely the BK Coordinator. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The findings of the study are: 1) The role of the principal in Guidance and Counseling is seen from coordinating the BK activities programmed by the BK teacher. 2) Accountability for implementing BK services in schools is appropriately marked by the principal seeing the BK room for the BK service process. 3) Providing facilities are still incomplete, marked by the BK room which is very small and narrow. 4) Provide support for the programcarried out by the BK teacher positively and provide input that builds the morale of the BK teacher. 5) Giving his opinion on the plan made by the BK teacher can provide new ideas to facilitate/simplify the plan that will be implemented by the BK teacher. 6) Carry out monitoring and evaluation activities that have been carried out well by looking at the program made by the BK teacher. In conclusion, the principal plays a role in assisting the process of BK services in schools. Suggestions for school principals to play a greater role in the BK service process in schools and provide more adequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the existance of adolescents having probles with cognitive self-concept and affective self-concept. The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) The development profile of adolescent cognitive self-concept, 2) The development profile of adolescent affective self-concept. This research is a quantitative descriptive. The population in this study was 82 adolescents in the Balai Gadang Village, Koto Tangah Padang District. The sampling technique was total sampling. The reaserch instrument was a questionnaire and the data were processed using a percentage formula. The result of this study reveal that in general the self-concept of adolescents in the Balai Gadang Village, Koto Tangah Padang District, is in the fairly good category. Judging from each indicator: 1) Adolescent cognitive self-concept is in a fairly good category, including aspects of knowledge and aspects of an image as self-image. 2) Adolescent affective self-concept is in a fairly good category, including adolescent affective selfconcept from the aspect of self-acceptance and self-esteem aspects. It can be recommended to parents to pay more attention to their children so that they can help children in shaping a more posititive self-concept both in terms of cognitive and affective, as well as providing information to parents in developing adolescent cognitive and affective self-concepts

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning discipline. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) Student learning discipline. 2) Parenting style. 3) The relationship between parenting styles and students' learning discipline. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research, with a population of 313 students and a sample of 76 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire and analyzed using the percentage technique. The results of this study reveal that 1) The learning discipline of students is in the high category, 2) The parenting style of parents is in the high category, 3) There is a significant relationship between parenting and learning discipline with a correlation coefficient of 0.547 with a strong level of relationship. Based on the results of the study, it can be recommended for parents to further improve learning discipline, especially in asking children which major is better in the future so that they can provide proper treatment to their children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Kaizala application in online mathematics learning in the midst of a pandemic on the interest in learning mathematics of class IX students of MTsS Bary Tarbiyah. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data collection method used is by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The sources of data in this study are: grade IX students and Mathematics Teacher at MTsS Bary Tarbiyah. The results obtained related to the effectiveness of the use of the Kaizala Application in online Mathematics learning in the midst of a Pandemic on students' interest in learning mathematics, namely from the 12 responses received by researchers there were around 80% which stated that the online learning process by utilizing the Kaizala Application was running effectively because this was an application. which is easy to use, does not require a lot of quota to access it compared to other applications

Abstract

The objective of the study was to find out the effect of Question Answer and Relationship (QAR) strategy toward the students’ achievement in reading comprehension of narrative text. The study applied the pre-experimental research and used cluster random sampling. The population of this study was 64 students of 2020/2021year in FKIP UMSU. They were from separated classes, each class consisted of 32 students so the sample was taken of 32 students. Since this study used pre-experimental, the sample only used one class where 32 students taught by using  Question Answer and Relationship (QAR) strategy as the sample of the data. The data was required by conducting essay test that consisted of 10 items. The result showed that t-observe was 1,84 higher than t-table 1,69; while the level of significance was 0,05. Based on the result of the analysis, the alternative hypothesis was accepted since it proved that Question Answer and Relationship (QAR) strategy significantly effects toward the students’ achievement in reading comprehension of narrative text. The percentage of influence on the students’ achievement in reading comprehension of narrative text by Question Answer and Relationship (QAR) strategy was about 98% and 2 % by the other factors
