Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat(Jurnal AbdiMas Polibatam) adalah jurnal multidisiplin ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Pusat Penelitian Pengembangan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (Pusat P2M) Politeknik Negeri Batam. Tujuan publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau ide-ide dan hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian masyarakat. Jurnal AbdiMas Polibatam berisi berbagai kegiatan dalam penanganan dan mengelola berbagai potensi, kendala, tantangan, dan masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Abstract

Keberadaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) dianggap mampu memberikan keserasian lingkungan sehingga dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang aman, nyaman, segar, indah dan bersih. RTH memiliki berbagai fungsi seperti ekologis, sosial budaya maupun estetika yang dapat memberikan kenyamanan dan memperindah lingkungan baik dari skala mikro maupun makro. Keberadaan RTH di lingkungan areal Kampus Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis "“ Politeknik Negeri Manado (Polimdo) sangat diperlukan untuk mengimbangi iklim di daerah Kota Manado yang merupakan iklim tropis dengan suhu rata-rata 24° "“ 27 °C. Kota Manado sebagai areal lokasi kampus Politeknik Negeri Manado dengan keadaan iklim yang ada sangat baik untuk dibangun RTH berupa penataan beberapa Taman Kampus termasuk taman di depan Barbershop and Beauty Salon "“ Jurusan Adminstrasi Bisnis Polimdo. Taman Kampus sebagai ruang terbuka hijau dan tempat duduk yang dapat digunakan untuk istirahat sebagai fungsi sosial dan budaya selain fungsi ekologi juga fungsi estetika. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk (1) Menciptakan suasana yang asri, sejuk dan indah yang dapat memberikan rasa aman, nyaman dan tenteram di lingkungan kampus Jurusan Adminstrasi Bisnis - Polimdo, (2) Mengembangkan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam menata Taman Kampus, serta (3) Mewujudkan rasa kebersamaan dan solidaritas diantara civitas akademika Jurusan Adminstrasi Bisnis - Polimdo. Dari pengabdian ini direncanakan taman sebagai area yang multifungsi, tidak hanya sebagai ruang hijau untuk memberikan kesejukan dan estetika, tetapi juga sebagai tempat berkumpul, belajar outdoor, serta ruang istirahat bagi mahasiswa dan pengunjung salon. Mengusung konsep hijau dengan tanaman hias, pepohonan rindang, dan elemen air, ruang terbuka ini diharapkan bisa menciptakan suasana alami yang menenangkan di area kampus

Abstract

Taman sebagai ruang terbuka hijau merupakan entitas dari keberadaan sebuah kampus. Sedemikian pentingnya keberadaan taman kampus ini maka penataannya harus efektif di tengah percepatan pembangunan yang cenderung menyebabkan degradasi lingkungan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun penataan taman kampus yang efektif dari segi ekologi dan sosial. Taman kampus yang efektif dari segi ekologi adalah taman yang secara spesifik menggunakan tanaman ekologis misalnya pohon Trembesi (Ki Hujan), berbagai jenis tanaman bunga, material yang mampu menyerap air misalnya pavingstone, paving block dan karakter taman yang sesuai dengan ruang yang diwadahi. Kemudian taman kampus yang efektif dari segi sosial adalah taman yang secara spesifik memiliki ruang sosial yang meaningful dan dihubungkan oleh jalur sirkulasi yang jelas, responsif, demokratis, serta memiliki aksesibilitas dan walkabilitas yang aman dan nyaman. Dengan demikian melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) khususnya skema Program Penerapan Iptek pada Masyarakat (PIM) yang mengacu pada rencana strategis (Renstra) Politeknik Negeri Manado periode 2021 "“ 2024 dengan salah satu unggulannya pengembangan sumber daya manusia bermaksud melaksanakannya dengan tema Pemanfaatan Paving Block Dalam Penataan Taman Kampus Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk melakukan penataan paving block pada taman kampus jurusan Administrasi Bisnis untuk memberikan ruang terbuka yang nyaman dan asri bagi mahasiswa saat berada diluar ruangan. Target yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah penataan paving block pada taman kampus Jurusan Administrsi Bisnis agar dapat memberikan ruang terbuka hijau bagi mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Manado, khususnya Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis.

Abstract

Environmental-friendly organic waste management is crucial for supporting sustainability, especially with the high volume of household waste. This community service project aims to educate the public, particularly the youth, about organic waste management through the use of eco enzyme technology. The education process involves eco enzyme practitioners and youth, facilitated by online-accessible video tutorials and social media campaigns to expand the reach of the information. Various activities, including socialization, education, and a challenge to create eco enzyme tutorial videos, were conducted to enhance participants' understanding and involvement. Evaluation through questionnaires completed by 156 respondents showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge regarding eco enzyme, its preparation methods, and benefits. The level of interest in using eco enzyme reached 94.23%, and the perceived benefits of the socialization process were 95.51%. Thus, this project successfully raised awareness and encouraged youth participation in sustainable organic waste management, which is expected to contribute positively to the environment in Batam City, Riau Island, Indonesia.

Abstract

In the digital era, the integration of technology in education has become increasingly important to create more effective and engaging learning experiences. The implementation of microlearning in education makes the learning time more effective and efficient. Microlearning delivers knowledge or information in small, digestible chunks, enabling learners to easily absorb, understand, and remember the content. Ulil Albab Integrated Islamic High School (SMAIT Ulil Albab) Batam is a formal educational institution located in Batam, Riau Islands. The learning media currently used by the school include books, photos, videos, and PowerPoint presentations. This community service activity aims to assist the school in developing a mobile-based microlearning media that can provide a more engaging learning experience and make students' learning time more effective and efficient. The methods used include preparation stages such as literature study and needs analysis, implementation stages like developing the microlearning application, and the final stages such as socialization and training. The results of the application testing showed that user satisfaction with the mobile-based microlearning application was 87.52% in the very satisfied category. Meanwhile, the evaluation of partner satisfaction with the community service activity revealed that the partner was very satisfied with the conducted activity, with a satisfaction percentage of 90.3%.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to socialize the concept of a sustainable lifestyle in Proyek Penguatan Profil PelajarPancasila (the project to improve the reinforcement value of Pancasila for students) by highlighting the importance of waste managementand planting trees. The activity was carried out to increase students' skills and awareness in managing organic waste as part of the effort to improve the reinforcement value of Pancasila, especially in terms of environmental issues. The approach includes several stages, which aresocialization of the importance of a sustainable lifestyle and the understanding of waste and plants. The results of this activity show an increase in students' awareness of the importance of waste management and planting trees as well as the implementation of a sustainable lifestyle. The data shows that students acquire an improved understanding of a sustainable lifestyle. Students are increasingly aware of themany things they can do to foster a sustainable lifestyle, which they can incorporate into their daily routines. This activity managed to contribute to improving the reinforcement value of Pancasila by grounding it in the context of environmental issues as well as enhancing students' practical skills in using everyday tools to minimize the damage to the environment to maintain a sustainable lifestyle.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a vital sector in Indonesia’s economy; however, they still face significant challenges in effectively marketing their products in the digital era. The main issues encountered include a lack of product innovation, weak branding strategies, and limited market expansion through digital platforms. MSME products often do not follow market trends and lack unique selling points, while the brands built tend to be unappealing and inconsistent both visually and narratively. On the other hand, the utilization of digital technology to reach wider markets remains limited due to low digital literacy and the absence of effective marketing strategies. This program aims to provide a comprehensive solution through training and mentoring in digital marketing, focusing on innovative product development, brand identity strengthening, and the use of social media, e-commerce, and SEO. It is expected that this initiative will enhance MSMEs' competitiveness, expand their market reach, and establish a more adaptive and sustainable business ecosystem amid technological advancement

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) themed “Tax Update: Socialization of Value Added Tax (VAT) on E-Commerce Transactions in Pontianak City” was conducted to improve tax literacy and raise public awareness of digital VAT obligations. The background of this activity is the rapid growth of e-commerce and the limited understanding of VAT regulations. The methods included delivering presentations, interactive discussions, and evaluation through questionnaires completed by 66 participants. The evaluation focused on four variables: tax understanding, tax socialization, taxpayer compliance, and VAT revenue. The results showed that participants’ tax understanding was categorized as Good (4.32), tax socialization as Very Good (4.52), taxpayer compliance as Good (4.37), and VAT revenue as Very Good (4.54).In conclusion, this PKM activity effectively enhanced the knowledge and tax awareness of the people of Pontianak, while also encouraging stronger commitment to contributing to state revenue through compliance with e-commerce VAT.

Abstract

Guidance in managing downtime in the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) and Electronic Medical Records (RME) is a strategic step to maintain operational continuity and the quality of healthcare services at RSUD dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga. Recurrent downtime negatively impacts administrative processes and medical services, necessitating systematic and continuous management. This study aims to provide technical guidance in managing downtime and to enhance the understanding and skills of human resources, particularly the Information Technology (IT) team and users of SIMRS and RME. The methods employed include technical training, identification of downtime causes, development of system maintenance procedures, and capacity building for users in operating the information systems. The results indicate that structured training and technical support can reduce downtime frequency and accelerate responses to technical disruptions. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening the IT team through ongoing training, more systematic system maintenance planning, and the establishment of clear, user-friendly operational procedures. Continuous guidance is expected to improve the effectiveness of downtime management and support the smooth delivery of healthcare services. This effort is an integral part of enhancing the quality of information systems and advancing digital transformation in healthcare services.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to increase awareness and understanding of clean and healthy living behavior among elementary school students. The workshop, held on August 7, 2025, at MI Simpang, involved interactive learning sessions and practical demonstrations, including proper handwashing techniques. Students actively participated in the activities and showed great enthusiasm. As a result, the workshop successfully improved students’ knowledge and personal hygiene awareness. This initiative is expected to contribute to the creation of a cleaner and healthier school environment.

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Batang, known as the birthplace of the religious figure Buya Hamka, is a culturally rich village with great tourism potential. However, it currently lacks an official website, and information about the village is only available on external news portals or the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy website. To enhance its visibility and accessibility, this community service project aimed to develop a dedicated website for Nagari Sungai Batang as a medium of information and promotion. This activity was part of a collaborative program between Politeknik Negeri Batam and Politeknik Negeri Padang, where the former developed the website while the latter created the information system. The website was developed using the Waterfall model, covering stages from requirements analysis to implementation and testing. Evaluation was conducted using Alpha-Beta testing, involving both developer and user environments. After completion, the team delivered the website and conducted user training on content management. The result showed that the website effectively served as an information and promotional medium, achieving a user satisfaction rate of 96%.
