Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala madrasah terhadap budaya kerja di MIN 2 Samarinda. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian terdiri dari 50 staff dan guru sebagai objek penelitian. Dalam pengambilan sampel menggunakan keseluruhan populasi sebagai sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Instrumen angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data variabel X (gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah) dan data variabel Y (budaya kerja), adapun dokumentasi digunakan untuk menguatkan data penelitian. Hasil pengumpulan data tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 43.773+0,540X. Diperoleh nilai R sebesar 0, 646 berada posisi “kuat” dengan interpretasi antara 0,60 - 0,799. t hitung (5,872) > t tabel (1,677) yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan gaya kepemimpinan kepala madrasah terhadap budaya kerja di MIN 2 Samarinda. Nilai R Square (R2 ) menunjukan sebesar 41,7% sedangkan 58,3% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya.

Abstract

The Scholastic Potential Test measures whether a student has the potential to enter college, in addition to academic ability. This study aims to analyze the scholastic potential test results of grade 12 students of SMAN 1 Situbondo as an indicator of student readiness to face the 2022 UTBK test. This study is descriptive, with the respondents being grade 12 students of SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo. The data collection method was carried out through a Try Out potential scholastic test consisting of 1) General Knowledge and Understanding, 2) General Reasoning, 3) Quantitative Knowledge, 4) Reading and Writing Comprehension, and 5) English language skills. The data were analyzed descriptively through the presentation of data in tables and graphs and analysis using independent sample t-test statistics. The results showed that the average score of 5 TPS components between science and social studies students was not significantly different (p > 0.05). Overall, the 5 TPS components score is still lower than half. General Knowledge and Comprehension scores and General Reasoning abilities are still higher than Quantitative Knowledge, Reading and Writing Comprehension, and English language skills. The conclusion is that the readiness of SMAN 1 Situbondo students to face the 2022 UTBK Test still needs to be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the teacher's efforts increased the reading interest of class III B students at SDN Kejapanan 4. There is still a problem in the learning process in class III B SDN Kejapanan 4 due to the lack of books, and library function could be more optimal, affecting student learning outcomes. Therefore, to overcome these problems, various efforts of teachers in the classroom when teaching are needed so that there is an increase in reading, namely through providing motivation or encouragement, providing more books and various types in the classroom reading corner, and habituation of literacy 15 minutes before learning begins. This research is descriptive qualitative research through documentation, observation, and interview with a teacher of IIIB SDN Kejapanan 4. The results showed that there still needed to be more student interest in reading activities. This can be seen when observing students play more fun during breaks than reading and the lack of students reading repeatedly; students only read occasionally and then close the reading book again.

Abstract

Paradigma pembelajaran abad 21 yang memiliki karakteristik multitasking, multimedia, dan pencarian informasi secara online, disatu sisi menjadi tren positif dari masifnya digitalisasi pendidikan, namun di sisi lain memunculkan kritik dan tak jarang mengundang polemik terhadap suburnya demoralisasi dikalangan siswa. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah terus meningkatkan program penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pendidikan dan pembelajaran di sekolah dan madrasah. Guru dituntut mampu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pendidikan karakter dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Masalah pembentukan karakter hari ini dipengaruhi oleh sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh akibat pandemi Covid-19 yang kurang mendukung dalam proses pembiasaan karakter. Kajian ini ingin melihat implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter berorientasi HOTS era Covid-19 di Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Kalimantan Timur melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil kajian menemukan fakta bahwa di era Covid-19 interaksi antara guru-siswa dan antara siswa dengan siswa menjadi terbatas sehingga kurang ada ruang dalam melakukan pembelajaran berbasis karakter berorientasi HOTS. Selain itu fokus guru dalam pembelajaran online lebih sebatas penyampaian materi pelajaran dan kurang dapat mengeksplore pembelajaran karakter berorientasi HOTS, hal ini dipengaruhi karena pembelajaran online yang terbatas dari sisi waktu, aplikasi, minat siswa, serta minimnya bimbingan orang tua.

Abstract

The corona pandemic since the end of 2019 has caused learning activities to be carried out distantly or PJJ (Distance Learning). Teaching Mathematics through PJJ with the online method has generated various obstacles, including student discipline that is difficult to control and difficulties in independent learning due to material that requires high abstraction skill. This has made the learning outcomes of most students do not reach the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). The purpose of this research is to improve the students’ mathematics learning outcomes on Number Patterns material during PJJ. In order to achieve learning objectives, improvements are made to the learning process with the MERDEKA technique, which is an acronym for Motivation, Education, Repetition, Discussion, Evaluation, Competition and Action. Furthermore, this study is aimed at finding out the student's response to online learning by the researcher. This Classroom Action Research consists of 2 cycles with 181 Grade VIII students of MTs Negeri Samarinda as research subjects in Academic Year 2020/2021. From this study, it can be concluded that the MERDEKA interaction technique in teaching and learning mathematics conducted online could improve student learning outcomes on Number Patterns material. The students’ response to the teacher’s learning is also favorable. It is proven that the presence of students is more than 85% on average, more than 85% of students admit that the teacher's teaching methods are fun and more than 75% convey that they understand the teacher's explanations in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of online learning platforms by PAI teachers at SMPN 9 Mandau, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. This research is descriptive with a qualitative paradigm using accidental sampling technique. Key informants are PAI teachers, while supporting informants are principals and students. The techniques of data collection in this study are interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or data verification. Testing the validity of the data is done through data triangulation. The results showed that the learning media used in helping the teaching and learning process were Zoom Meeting, WhatsApp, and Google Classroom media. Constraints in the use of learning media include difficulties in buying packages, network disturbances, not understanding the material, and limitations of learning media. The solution in using these learning media is to do face-to-face and online learning (hybrid learning), using media that students understand, internet quota assistance, training in the manufacture of learning media.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things, including the transition to conventional activities that must be done digitally. The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture has set a policy that education must continue during the pandemic but with a different system (study from home) by utilizing technology (online). Changes in the current era are forcing the world of education to change the old paradigm that puts humans not the main thing in an organization. Still, humans are now considered essential items in an organization. The new human paradigm is an important asset, so to create a competitive advantage in the world of education, the strategy used is a human resource management strategy. The method used in this research is the literature study or literature study. A reasonable and appropriate human resource management strategy that focuses on improving the capabilities and competencies of its human resources makes institutions engaged in education able to compete and survive changing conditions. For character building and performance, it can be done by applying KASAH (Knowledge, Ability, Skill, Attitude, Habit) to gain a competitive advantage.

Abstract

Assessment is a critical component to determine the achievement of the learning process that has been applied to students. Assessment is carried out using various methods and tools prepared by educators. During the Covid-19 situation, schools need to change their learning mode to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This research article aims to describe students’ perception of Office 365 as a medium in students' online assessment of learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu using a quantitative approach to survey research design. The population of this study was 300 students. Using a significance level of 5%, a sample size of 161 students was obtained. A simple random sampling technique took samples. The results showed that the respondents gave positive responses, scoring 72.44% in the excellent category. Assessments using Office 365 are carried out objectively and according to actual data and facts because the results can be known in real-time. This study concludes that students perceived that Office 365 is effective in online learning outcomes assessment. However, it is necessary to find other alternatives that are more able to maintain the essence of the evaluation so that the principles of assessment are more applied, and the task of educators in carrying out the supervisory function is wide open.

Abstract

The critical ability of English lecturers to education technology 4.0 could change the role of the traditional English lecturer because there needed to be a balance between soft skills and technological competencies. The value of digital transformation had shown that pedagogical interventions with student-centered pedagogy could design learning support goals and strategies and critically evaluate English lecturers’ self-management as professional trainers. The objectives of this study were to examine: (1) the role and innovation of English lecturers in the face of the paradigm shift in online learning, and (2) the conditions of digital learning related to lecturers` competencies. Focusing on qualitative data collected from 23 English lecturers at some higher education institutions in Indonesia, the results of English lecturer responses showed that the lecturers’ digital skills enhanced the following factors, such as knowledge, the students’ responsiveness to tasks, contextualized teaching and learning, and the stimulating of ideas as feedback thereby assisting the universities in recognizing the value of technology as their teaching needs. The data responses could reflect how the lecturers transformed learning through innovative pedagogical concepts and the use of digital in the classroom. Future research could strengthen the pedagogical profile for education 4.0 to master technology with a global view of world culture.

Abstract

Instilling entrepreneurial motivation in students is an important thing that takes advantage of the role of entrepreneurial practices in schools in creating many young entrepreneurs in the future. This study aimed to see the entrepreneurial practices and entrepreneurial motivation of class XII Accounting students at SMK Negeri 7 Pontianak and how much influence the entrepreneurial practices have on the students’ entrepreneurial motivation. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a correlational method. This research took 64 students as research participants. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The research findings show that the entrepreneurial practices perception is exceptionally high, the students’ entrepreneurial motivation is very high, and the entrepreneurial practices significantly affect entrepreneurial motivation. The effect was about one-third, while the rest was influenced by variables that have not been studied, such as curriculum, entrepreneurship learning models, and the family environment that should become recommendations for further researchers to examine them.
