Bakti Budaya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat [BB] bertujuan untuk menerbitkan naskah hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM). Tulisan yang dimuat berupa analisis temuan atau refleksi kegiatan PkM yang terhilirkan untuk pemanfaatan secara lebih luas oleh masyarakat. Hilirisasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tidak terbatas pada konsep, metode, sasaran PkM, hasil luaran PkM, dan refleksi kegiatan, tetapi juga aspek-aspek penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengidentifikasi dan menyelesaikan permasalahan. Cakupan BB adalah naskah luaran kegiatan PkM dengan tema kajian budaya dalam perspektif Indonesia.

Abstract

Following the recognition of civil rights, the Indigenous Belief (Penghayat Kepercayaan) of unofficial religions face challenges on how to pass on their beliefs to younger generations so they inherit their beliefs. As the primary institution that accommodates all groups of adherent believers in Indonesia, Majelis Luhur Kepercayaan Indonesia (MLKI) formed a youth organization called Gema Pakti. This organization is used as the representative of Penghayat Kepercayaan group for youth to be the leading force for the regeneration of its members. Intersectoral Collaboration for indigenous Religions (ICIR), as one of the collaborative platforms, provides spaces for the youth of Penghayat Kepercayaan to improve their organizational skills through the Forum Kamisan Daring (FKD) program. Through this, the youth of Penghayat Kepercayaan can show their existence by participating directly through the FKD program in 2023. This program applies an approach by involving the youth in the discussion forums. This approach becomes a way to empower the youth through group capacity building. This involvement shows that FKD provides roles to Penghayat Kepercayaan groups, especially Gema Pakti, within its existence and group capacity building. === Setelah pengakuan hak-hak sipil, Penghayat Kepercayaan menghadapi tantangan yaitu bagaimana meneruskan generasi yang akan tetap mewarisi ajaran kepenghayatannya. Majelis Luhur Kepercayaan Indonesia (MLKI) sebagai lembaga utama yang mewadahi seluruh Penghayat Kepercayaan di Indonesia membentuk sebuah organisasi pemuda yang disebut Gema Pakti. Organisasi ini sebagai wadah representasi pemuda Penghayat Kepercayaan untuk menjadi ujung tombak dalam proses regenerasi. Intersectoral Collaboration for eIndigenous Religions (ICIR) sebagai salah satu kolaborasi lintas sektor memberikan wadah kepada pemuda Penghayat Kepercayaan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kelompoknya dalam berjejaring melalui program Forum Kamisan Daring (FKD). Pemuda Penghayat Kepercayaan bisa memiliki ruang untuk berkembang dan menunjukkan eksistensinya dengan terlibat langsung dalam program FKD tahun 2023. Program ini memiliki pendekatan dengan melibatkan langsung Pemuda Penghayat Kepercayaan dalam proses pelaksanaan forum. Pendekatan ini menjadi salah satu upaya pemberdayaan melalui pengembangan kapasitas kelompok. Melalui keterlibatan ini menunjukkan bahwa FKD memberikan peran kepada Penghayat Kepercayaan khususnya Gema Pakti dalam proses eksistensi dan pengembangan kapasitas kelompok organisasi.

Abstract

With a tridharma vision and mission founded on ICE values, namely Integrity, Care, and Excellence, Universitas Kristen Maranatha is one of the top ten best private university in Indonesia according to THE Impact Rankings 2022. The Pandu Church Sunday School students that attend the Bina Iman Lanjutan (BIL) are the target audience for community service projects. Using decorative buttons, flannel in various colors, and textile coloring markers on a drawstring fabric bag, the implementation approach is carried out through mentoring and creative experimental activities. This program is intended to foster the Alpha Generation's character among the Sunday School students of the Pandu Church. 26 FSRD students, 9 teaching staff from several faculties at Universitas Kristen Maranatha, 27 Sunday School participants, and 6 BIL’s Pandu Church supervisors helped with the offline activities. Participants are able to create crafts out of drawstring fabric bags as a result of this activity.

Abstract

The village of Cisaat in Subang, West Java has sufficient natural potential to make it a tourist destination. The existence of the village needs support from local artistic potential, so that Cisaat can offer natural beauty and artistry that bring aesthetic value. The community must possess the necessary skills to bring art to the village of Cisaat. The current artistic culture in Cisaat still needs development as it has great potential. This village has quite a few inhabitants in the children and teenage age groups. They have great potential to develop and advance Cisaat village as a tourist destination. The partner's problem is the limited number of human resources with experience and background in music. Art education in Cisaat village is still conducted traditionally, with elders only passing down their artistic skills to their own family members. There are many children and teenagers who cannot play music, they only watch and are not involved in artistic activities in the village. The community service events equip the society with music playing skills. The skills acquired potentially create opportunities for developing the community's artistic and tourism potentials. The activities offer benefits towards elevating the cultural and artistic sectors in Cisaat village.

Abstract

School readiness has emerged as one of pressing issues within the context of educational-focused community outreach. Preschool students often have short attention spans and this affects their learning readiness at the elementary level. This issue warrants further intervention and by involving preschool students at TK Tunas Sawo, Sambikerep District, Surabaya, this community outreach program aimed to enhance preschool students’ attention spans. This study developed the Jungle Treasure Hunt Board Game as an intervention tool by combining play-based methods, storytelling, and token economy techniques to 4 preschool students in two consecutive sessions. The processes of community outreach followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In the initial phase, a series of interviews and observations is conducted to assess students and to obtain basic information for the board game development. In the following phase, we worked with students to play board games. What follows is the post-intervention phase, where we conducted evaluation and determined the further action plans. The results showed that the preschool students demonstrated their ability to maintain their attention spans. At the end of the program, the stakeholders and psychologists validated and recommended this board game as an alternative educational tool for maintaining preschool students’ attention spans.

Abstract

One of the most accessible options for the public to build a digital ecosystem is to use social media in communication and socializing practices. This community service activity basically aims to provide training on making village promotional videos for youth groups in Dusun Demen, Pakembinangun, Pakem, Sleman, Yogyakarta, aged 16-20 years. Involving young people as participants in this video training activity is an urgency that is expected to represent Gen Z as active users of the YouTube networking media. The result of this activity is to make young people understand more about the function of social networking media, especially Youtube as a promotional medium. Almost all of the participants became more knowledgeable about procedures and implementing the basic techniques of making videos. They also gain experience and skills on how to direct a video production process. So, it is hoped that in the future young people will be more skilled and more skilled in creating videos that are published on the YouTube channel, especially in an effort to promote the village.

Abstract

ABK's motor creativity is said to be good if they are in the right environment, surrounded by people who understand their special needs, both in terms of assisting, guiding and supporting no matter how small they do. Collaboration of digital learning and conventional creativity is one of the strategies developed by HSBE academically/non-academicly. The reading literacy ability of ABK is quite good in understanding writing, pictures, colors but due to verbal limitations it seems difficult to speak and not yet fluent in reading. The need for digital literacy for children with special needs in the form of visual art comics in the form of visualization of picture story books and visualization of digital fairy tales is quite influential in improving the motor skills of children with special needs. The computer science program was attended by ABK grades 2 and 3 because they were already able to operate basic computer systems. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method involving teachers, parents and children with special needs as a sample. The results of this study concluded that 2 children with special needs: 1ADHD – GAP (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and 1ASD – RRF (Autism Spectrum Disorder) have very low ratings in utilizing digital media compared to 3 other children with special needs so that they require extra assistance and learning media

Abstract

Abstrak Kabupaten Gunungkidul merupakan salah satu daerah yang kaya akan objek wisata. Objek wisata yang terdapat di Gunungkidul berupa wisata alam, religi, kuliner, edukasi, sejarah, belanja, dan lain-lain berpotensi untuk memakmurkan masyarakat dari segi ekonomi dan budaya. Namun, banyak di antara objek wisata tersebut belum dikenal dan dikembangkan dengan maksimal. Dengan demikian, perlu langkah strategis berupa penggalian potensi wisata melalui tulisan yang ditulis oleh penulis lokal dan dipublikasikan ke masyarakat umum untuk memajukan potensi tersebut. Hal ini tidak saja berguna untuk pengembangan diri penulis, tetapi juga bermanfaat untuk pengembangan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi masyarakat Gunungkidul. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Fakultas Ilmu Budaya berupa penulisan esai ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat setempat guna mengasah keterampilan kreatif. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, tim PkM bekerja sama dengan Komunitas Pelita (Penggiat Literasi Aktif) Gunungkidul telah mengadakan Pelatihan Esai Destinasi Wisata di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Anggota Komunitas Pelita terdiri atas guru SD, SMP, SMA, pegawai perpustakaan, pensiunan guru, dan masyarakat umum. Melalui pendampingan pada pelatihan ini, mereka telah menghasilkan buku antologi esai yang terdiri atas 37 tulisan tentang berbagai objek wisata Gunungkidul. Abstract

Abstract The creativity of the community in processing various types of porang-based foods is needed. Porang is a local Indonesian commodity that has enormous potential to be exported and sold in the international market. Porang tubers are the raw material for making shirataki rice which has a very high selling price. To achieve this goal, training in making processed food from porang is required. This community service programme focuses on training assistance in porang-based food processing. To see how much the community understands after receiving training, on the third day a porang-based food cooking competition was held to motivate residents to make new innovations related to porang food recipes that they develop. The target location for this community service programme is in Karangpatihan Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency by targeting PKK mothers in four hamlets including Jurugan, Selodono, Krajan, and Dungus. This community service activity was closed with a focus group discussion (FGD) to listen to the aspirations of PKK women and see the future of porang in the region. As is the case in several other areas, the constraints of the community in processing porang are related to the processing of porang which is still quite complicated. In addition, the itchiness caused by holding porang in the hand.

Abstract

With the increase in tourism activities post-pandemic, the regional government of Agam Regency considers the urgency of improving the English language skills of local human resources (HR) to prepare them to welcome the arrival of international tourists. Thus, the collaboration between the Agam Regency Regional Government and the Community Service (PkM) team of the English Language Education Study Program was initiated as a sustainable program. This second-year activity aimed at training participants in developing speaking skill materials for elementary school levels. This three-day training involved 20 elementary school teachers around Kampung Inggris in five villages in Agam Regency. The results of the questionnaire and reflection showed that this activity helped improve the participants’ skills in designing creative and effective teaching materials for speaking skills in English at the elementary school level, and they were satisfied with the entire series of events. It is hoped that this activity can enable participants to play their role as facilitators in the English Village in Agam Regency, thereby helping to build better English literacy. === Dengan makin membaiknya dunia pariwisata, pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Agam melihat adanya urgensi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris sumber daya manusia (SDM) setempat agar siap menyambut kembali kedatangan turis internasional. Karena itulah, kerja sama Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Agam melalui Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Agam dengan tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Prodi S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FBS UNJ dibuat sebagai kegiatan multiyears (berkelanjutan). Kegiatan yang merupakan tahun kedua ini bertujuan untuk melatih peserta dalam mengembangkan materi pembelajaran berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris untuk tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Kegiatan yang berlangsung selama tiga hari ini melibatkan 20 guru SD di sekitar Kampung Inggris di lima desa (nagari) di Kabupaten Agam. Hasil angket dan refleksi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat dalam membangun kemampuan peserta dalam merancang materi pengajaran kemampuan berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris pada tingkat SD yang menarik dan tepat guna, dan mereka puas dengan keseluruhan rangkaian acara. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat membantu peserta dalam perannya sebagai fasilitator pada Kampung Inggris di Kabupaten Agam sehingga membantu membangun literasi berbahasa Inggris yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Pandansari Village, Brebes District, Central Java, which is located at an altitude of 1.500-2.000 meters above sea level, the majority of its residents work in the plantation sector as well as farming vegetable commodities, especially potatoes. Environmental changes, especially climate, such as high levels of rainfall can cause the presence of pests and viruses, thus making farmers think more about preventing crop failure. Pesticides are often used to keep plants producing. However, high-scale use of pesticides can have negative impacts, especially on health. Research – Community Service uses a focused discussion forum approach, interviews, and participatory documentary filmmaking with the community to understand the influence of pesticides on potato farming. The positive and negative effects of pesticides on potato farming in Pandansari Village are shown through a documentary entitled, "Rain at an Altitude of 1600 Mdpl". The aim of making this documentary film is as a research medium and to record the current situation regarding the effects of massive pesticide use on plantations. === Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Brebes, Jawa Tengah, yang terletak di ketinggian 1.500—2.000 mdpl ini mayoritas warganya bekerja pada sektor perkebunan dan pertanian komoditas sayuran, terutama kentang. Perubahan lingkungan, terutama iklim, seperti situasi curah hujan yang cukup tinggi dapat menyebabkan hadirnya hama dan virus sehingga membuat petani berpikir lebih untuk mencegah terjadinya gagal panen. Penggunaan pestisida kerap dilakukan untuk tetap menjaga tanaman agar terus berproduksi. Namun, penggunaan pestisida berskala tinggi dapat mengakibatkan dampak negatif, terutama kesehatan. Penelitian–Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat menggunakan pendekatan forum diskusi terarah, wawancara, dan pembuatan film dokumenter secara partisipatif bersama masyarakat untuk memahami pengaruh pestisida pada pertanian kentang. Pengaruh pestisida positif dan negatif bagi pertanian kentang Desa Pandansari ditunjukkan lewat film dokumenter yang berjudul “Hujan di Ketinggian 1600 Mdpl”. Pembuatan film dokumenter ini bertujuan sebagai medium penelitian dan merekam situasi terkini tentang pengaruh penggunaan pestisida yang masif di perkebunan.
