This study aims to describe the role of teachers in implementing sexual education through puberty learning in class V of SD N 1 Wonokampir in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects in this study consisted of homeroom teachers of class VI as implementers of puberty learning, class V students as recipients of the material, and the principal as a policy maker and supporter of the implementation of sex education in schools. The results of the study show that teachers have a significant role in delivering sexual education material with an approach that is appropriate to the development of the students' age. The strategies used include a personal approach, utilization of technology media, and collaboration with external parties. Students showed a good understanding of puberty material and felt more prepared to face the physical and emotional changes they experienced. This study concludes that sexual education provided from an early age is very important to form a sense of responsibility, maintain health, and prevent inappropriate actions. This education is also a preventive measure against the negative influence of inappropriate information that can be accessed by children outside of school.

Abstract

Nahwu instruction in Islamic boarding schools often faces challenges regarding the relevance of the approach and students’ comprehension of Arabic grammatical rules, which tend to be abstract and rigid. This study aims to describe an innovative Nahwu learning method through the utilization of the Al-Fushul Al-Fikriyah book by Shaykh Abdullah Basha Fikri, known for its systematic deductive approach and Malay-Arabic linguistic style. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings reveal that this kitab provides a more contextual learning experience by starting with the presentation of grammatical rules, followed by practical explanations and relevance to students’ daily lives. The book is considered communicative, direct, and structured, which facilitates students in comprehending Nahwu concepts more effectively. This is evidenced by increased student engagement, better understanding of grammatical structures, and enthusiastic participation in classroom discussions. This innovation proves to be effective in improving the quality of Nahwu learning in pesantren settings. The study recommends the adoption of a systematically-contextualized kitab as a strategic alternative for developing Arabic grammar instruction, especially in pesantren and Islamic educational institutions that implement traditional kitab kuning-based curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the pedagogical approach to balāghah (Arabic rhetoric) as presented by Bassam Saeh in his book Bahasa al-Qur’an: Mukjizat atau Sekadar Kegeniusan (The Language of the Qur'an: Miracle or Mere Genius). Balāghah plays a crucial role in uncovering the beauty and rhetorical power of the Arabic language, especially in understanding the stylistic depth of the Qur’an. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a library research approach, this study analyzes how Saeh reformulates balāghah pedagogy in a contemporary educational context. The findings reveal that Bassam Saeh offers three principal approaches to balāghah instruction: (1) contextual analysis of structure and meaning in Qur’anic verses; (2) rational and reflective interpretation of stylistic elements; and (3) linguistic critique grounded in descriptive and scientific analysis. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the interplay between form and meaning, as well as the significance of historical and linguistic context in interpreting the Qur’anic message. These approaches contribute to the development of a balāghah curriculum that is not only normative and theoretical, but also applicable, critical, and responsive to the intellectual needs of modern learners. The study is expected to serve as a reference for designing text-based and critical-thinking-oriented instructional models in Arabic rhetoric and Qur’anic studies.

Abstract

This article examines the development of a pesantren-based curriculum through the ke-takhassusan program implemented at MTs Ma’arif Gondang Watumalang, Wonosobo. The program emerged as a response to the need for strengthening religious education in the post-COVID-19 period, during which students experienced a significant decline in religious engagement. This study aims to describe the strategies of the ke-takhassusan program, analyze its benefits and challenges, and assess its implications for enhancing the madrasah curriculum. The research employed a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that the program is implemented systematically with core materials such as fiqh, tajwid, nahwu, shorof, classical Islamic texts, and akhlak, utilizing traditional pesantren methods like sorogan and bandongan. The program positively impacts students’ religious literacy, shapes their religious character, and fosters a more Islamic school environment. Despite facing challenges such as student fatigue, monotonous methods, and limited facilities, the program significantly contributes to contextual and practical Islamic education in the madrasah system.

Abstract

This article is a comparative study that seeks to identify the differences, similarities and implications between Aristotle and Ibn Bajjah's concept of the perfect human being. The main source used as a reference in the study is the book Tadbir Al-Mutawahhid which is the work of Ibn Bajjah Nichomachean Ethic which is the work of Aristotle. Meanwhile, secondary sources are taken from various sources such as books, magazines and also articles that are in accordance with this research. Primary and secondary data are studied through historical and philosophical analysis (understanding and interpretation methods). The results of this study show that the concept of happiness according to Aristotle, happiness is the act of coexistence in harmony between the soul and the perfect virtue, happiness is experienced by a person when receiving pleasure (achievement), which is followed by the process of self-development in wanting and becoming something. while Ibn Bajjah said that happiness is the peak or end of all human goodness, so that the highest good can be achieved if a person can meet his physical and spiritual needs. And there is also the similarity of Aristotle and Ibn Bajjah's opinion about man, both agree that the goal of happiness is the first step towards happiness by doing good deeds with the help of reason, and the main idea is that Aristotle and Ibn Bajjah discuss metaphysics. The difference between Ibn Bajjah and Aristotle is that Aristotle includes the path to happiness, namely human goals, seeking as many blessings as possible, wisdom and rationality, while the path to happiness of Ibn Bajjah includes self-knowledge, the knowledge of Allah, the knowledge of the hereafter. and appreciation for the world. The implication of this research is that compared to today's life, we focus too much on worldly interests and end up forgetting about the problems of the hereafter and facing the challenges of increasingly modern technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of disorderly conduct by legal counsel during court proceedings and examine the ethical and professional responses of judges to such non-procedural behavior. Disruptions caused by legal counsel in the courtroom not only hinder the judicial process but also pose significant challenges for judges in maintaining the dignity and order of the proceedings. Using a qualitative approach through case studies within the religious court system, this research explores various forms of misconduct, judicial responses, and the extent to which the principles outlined in the Code of Ethics and Judicial Conduct (KEPPH) are practically implemented. Furthermore, a theoretical analysis of judicial professionalism and ethics is conducted to assess the alignment between normative ideals and actual courtroom practices. The findings indicate that misconduct by legal counsel manifests in various forms, ranging from breaches of decorum to non-procedural interruptions. Judicial responses vary depending on the severity of the misconduct and the individual character of each judge. This study concludes that the synergy between professionalism and judicial ethics is fundamental to maintaining the credibility of the judicial system. Therefore, the development of guidelines for handling non-procedural behavior, along with the enhancement of ethical and character-based training for legal practitioners, is strongly recommended.
