Abstract

This study explores the implementation of audiovisual-based learning at RA Nurul Islam to improve the concentration of learning in children aged 5-6 years. Early age is an important period in the development of children's education, where experience and environmental stimulation play a very important role. This study identified children's difficulties in concentrating and understanding learning materials due to less interactive teaching methods. By implementing audiovisual media, such as videos and animations, children can more easily understand information. The results showed that the use of audio and visual elements was effective in increasing interest and concentration in learning, as well as encouraging active participation in children. RA Nurul Islam is committed to creating an interactive learning environment with group assessments. These findings indicate that audiovisual-based learning not only improves concentration, but also provides a more meaningful and enjoyable educational experience for children.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a parenting module as a strategy to prevent sexual orientation deviations from an early age in the PAUD Unit.  This module is designed to increase parents’ understanding of their role in shaping children’s gender identity healthily and by applicable social norms and cultural values.  This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model approach.  The study subjects were parents of early childhood who were in the PAUD Unit in Pondok Melati and Jatisampurna Districts, Bekasi City.  The results of the study show that many parents have limitations in understanding gender and sexuality issues and lack the skills to provide the proper education to their children.  Therefore, the parenting module developed in this study is focused on improving parental literacy through pocketbooks and parenting training.  The implementation of this parenting module shows a significant increase in parents’ understanding and readiness to guide their children.  In addition, this module has also received validation from early childhood education and psychology experts, who consider this approach relevant and can be applied in various family settings.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of children in science learning. This can be seen from the lack of children's attention to learning related to science, infrastructure and digital-based learning media are still minimally used, and the lack of variation in learning methods used by teachers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of Augmented Reality  media on the science abilities of early childhood. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type. The population of this study was all children of TK Pertiwi 1 Kantor Gubernur,  with samples of class B4 as the experimental class and class B5 as the control class, each class consisting of 15 children. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the hypothesis test table, it is known that the pre-test results obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.340> 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no effect of Augmented Reality  media on the science abilities of early childhood. While the results of the post-test hypothesis test obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.030 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of Augmented Reality  media on the science abilities of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the impact of interactive learning media using block letters on the letter recognition skills of children aged 4–5 years at TK Aisyiyah Bontosunggu. A quantitative approach was utilized, adopting a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group structure. The study involved 16 children, divided evenly into an experimental group and a control group. Data were gathered through observation, pre-test and post-test evaluations, and documentation. The experimental group was taught using block letter media, while the control group used alphabet posters. Results demonstrated a notable enhancement in letter recognition among children exposed to block letter media. Improvements were observed in their ability to recognize letter sounds, identify letter shapes, and find letters within words. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded a significance level (2-tailed) of less than 0.05, confirming the positive effect of block letter media on letter recognition in young children. The study suggests incorporating interactive, play-based learning tools to support early literacy development.

Abstract

Teachers must be more inventive in developing creative, original, engaging, and enjoyable learning activities to enhance children's comprehension of learning because youngsters lack numeracy skills such as matching, comparing, sequencing, and counting a collection of objects. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how interactive Canva media affects the numeracy abilities of kids in the 5–6 age range at Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang. This study employs a quasi-experimental methodology with a quantitative approach. Techniques for gathering data include documentation and testing. The 50 youngsters who attended Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang made up the study's population. 40 youngsters made up the study's sample, 20 of whom were in the experimental class (class B2) and 20 of whom were in the control class (class B1). The normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests were employed in this study's data processing methodology. Using SPSS 30 and the t-test statistical method, hypothesis testing revealed a significance level of less than 0.05. According to the study's findings, the average pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental class that used Canva medium were 13.50 and 18.30, respectively. The mean pre-test and post-test scores in the PowerPoint-using control group were 13.15 and 14.10, respectively. The resulting data were homogeneous and regularly distributed. Furthermore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted after the t-test findings showed that the sig value (2-tailed) was <0.001 <0.05. We may conclude that the numeracy skills of the pupils at Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang are significantly impacted by interactive Canva media.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of multisensory methods using loose parts media to stimulate literacy in children aged 5–6 years at TK Multazam. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data analysis through 1. Reduction, 2. Presentation of data which is data collection, 3. Verification which is the conclusion. The subjects in this study are the classroom teacher and the school principal. The research results show that: In the implementation of literacy learning at TK Multazam, a multisensory approach combined with the use of loose parts media has proven to be an effective strategy to stimulate the literacy development of early childhood. The results indicate that teachers actively apply this method through activities involving various senses of children such as visual (sight), auditory (hearing), and kinesthetic-tactile (touch movement), and loose parts are an important component of classroom learning. Each class is equipped with various types of loose part materials because loose parts can enhance children's creativity, imagination, and cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Colorful Wordwall media on the literacy skills of 5-6 year old children at Kindergarten Multazam, Gowa Regency. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type. The sampling in this research is all children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Multazam. The sampling in this research is purposive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 24 children, 12 children as the experimental group and 12 children as the control group. The data collection technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the literacy skills of children given treatment using Colorful Wordwall media in the experimental group were better than the control group. The results of the data analysis showed an increase in the average in the experimental group of 9.58, while in the control group it was 8.66. The test results showed sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that colorful wordwall media has a significant effect on the literacy skills of 5-6 year old children at Kindergarten Multazam, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

The central problem of this study is the creativity of children aged 4-5 years at Multazam Kindergarten. The children consistently demonstrate a tendency to await instructions from their teachers whenever they engage in the construction of toys or other activities. Their objective is to emulate existing practices rather than to devise novel ones. The objective of this study is to ascertain the impact of Puzzle Stick Media on the creativity of children aged four to five at Multazam Kindergarten in Gowa Regency. The research approach employed is a quantitative approach, with the type of research Quasi-Experimental Design. The population of this study comprised 30 children aged 5-6 years at Mekar Sari Palampang Kindergarten. The sampling method employed in this study was purposive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 12 children, 6 children as the experimental group and 6 children as the control group. The data collection technique employed in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The findings of the study indicate that the creativity of children in the experimental group who participated in play activities involving puzzle stick media demonstrated superiority in comparison to the control group. The findings of the data analysis demonstrated a mean increase of 29.67 in the experimental group, while the control group exhibited a mean increase of 18.83. The statistical significance of these results is indicated by the p-value. In the event that the two-tailed test result is less than 0.027 and greater than or equal to 0.05, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that puzzle stick media exerts a significant effect on the creativity of children aged 4-5 years at Multazam Kindergarten, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingkat kemampuan sains anak yang belum berkembang secara optimal. Anak mengalami kesulitan dalam mengamati, melakukan percobaan, dan mengkomunikasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sains melalui penerapan metode eksperimen pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di RA AL ISLAH Kemalo Abung. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang setiap siklus terdiri dari empat kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelas A usia 4-5 tahun di RA AL ISLAH Kemalo Abung yang berjumlah 25 anak, terdiri dari 11 anak laki-laki dan 14 anak perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada siklus I yaitu melalui kegiatan eksperimen kapilaritas menggunakan sayur kol putih terdapat 6 (24%) anak pada kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dan 0 (0%) anak pada kriteria Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB). Karena belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan yang telah ditentukan, maka perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus II. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan melalui kegiatan eksperimen membuat kecambah dari kacang tanah yaitu terdapat 0 (0%) anak pada kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dan 25 (100%) anak pada kriteria Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB).

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has encouraged learning transformation in universities, including in the field of Early Childhood Islamic Education. Students of the Early Childhood Islamic Education study program are not only required to have pedagogical competence and Islamic values, but also digital literacy skills and the ability to design creative and educational learning content. One of the AI-based technologies that has the potential to support Digital Content Design learning is Canva AI.  This study aims to conceptually examine the integration of Canva AI as an Artificial Intelligence technology in learning Digital Content Design for students of the Early Childhood Islamic Education study program at Universitas Islam Negeri Jurai Siwo Lampung. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of conceptual research through literature studies on various relevant literature, both national and international journals. Data was analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the roles, benefits, and pedagogical implications of using Canva AI in learning. The results show that Canva AI integration can support the development of creativity, digital literacy, and students' ability to design digital learning content that is appropriate to early childhood characteristics and nuanced with Islamic values. In addition, the use of Canva AI is in line with the technology-based learning paradigm and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in universities. This article is expected to be a theoretical reference for lecturers and study program managers in developing AI-based Digital Content Design learning in the Islamic higher education environment.
