Abstract

This research highlights the urgency of instilling the value of mutual cooperation from an early age to build togetherness in social life. The aim is to develop students' mutual cooperation character through pencak silat supported by pop-up media as a learning tool. This research uses a 4D model, namely problem definition, intervention design, learning material development, and dissemination of results. A mixed method approach was applied to understand the effectiveness of learning pencak silat in forming the character of mutual cooperation. The research subjects involved 30 students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tarunajaya. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires, observations and documentation are used to measure student character development. Quantitative data was analyzed using a paired sample t-test, while qualitative data was analyzed using a thematic approach. The results showed that pop-up video media significantly increased students' mutual cooperation scores, with the average score increasing from 9.1 to 16.0 (75.82%). The paired sample t-test showed p < 0.000, and the n-gain analysis averaged 0.68 indicating moderate to high effectiveness. Observations also show increased social interaction and cooperation. In conclusion, this approach is relevant to the Pancasila student profile in building solidarity and cooperation.

Abstract

The current study aimed at investigating the effect of problem-based learning oriented with traditional games on students learning outcomes viewed from hand-eye coordination. Quasi-experimental was used as a research design since the current study was conducted in the form of quantitative research. The research setting was SDN 6 Batubulan, Gianyar, Bali. There were 40 of fifth-grade students that were involved as a research sample. They were selected by using simple random sampling. They were divided into control and experimental group by using order vairing technique. The data were obtained by conducted pretest and posttest. The performance test and written test were conducted during the pretest and posttest. The test rubrics were used as research instruments. The data were analysed by using inferential analysis (Two-Way ANOVA and Independent Sample T-test) with the assistance of SPSS 25. The results indicated that there was an impact on students’ learning outcomes due to their hand-eye coordination ability and the implementation problem-based learning oriented with hand-eye coordination.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the direct and indirect effects, as well as the simultaneous influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. This type of research is quantitative with a path analysis approach. Data were analyzed by path analysis through structural model testing at α = 0.05. The results showed that: 1) there was a direct effect of leg muscle strength on the passing ability of 9.61%, 2) there was a direct effect of flexibility on the passing ability of 8.41%, 3) there was a direct effect of ankle coordination on the passing ability amounted to 15.28%, 4) there is an indirect effect of leg muscle strength through ankle coordination on passing ability is 48.16%, 5) there is an indirect effect of flexibility through ankle coordination on passing ability is 44.35% , and 6) there is an effect of leg muscle strength, flexibility and ankle coordination on the passing ability of 67.50%. From the analysis of the direct and indirect effects, it is concluded that the big influence is the indirect variable of leg muscle strength through ankle coordination, which is 48.16%.

Abstract

Research in the field of sport psychology, especially in basketball, has grown rapidly in the last decade. This study examines the trends and evolution of research in basketball sport psychology through a bibliometric analysis approach. With a total of 905 articles analyzed from 2014 to 2024, this study aims to understand the development of the research focus and its contribution to the discipline. Through bibliometric analysis of data obtained from the Scopus database, we investigated scientific publications related to sports psychology in basketball. VOSViewer software facilitated the visualization of collaboration networks between researchers, institutions, and research topics, thus providing a deeper understanding of the structure and dynamics within this field of study. The bibliometric methods used in this study provided insights into research trends over time, identified key topics of interest to scholars, and highlighted contributions from leading institutions and researchers in the field of sport psychology in basketball. This study emphasizes the importance of ongoing research and collaboration in developing a deeper understanding of the psychological aspects of basketball. In addition, the study included a systematic literature review to map out potential areas of future research based on current trends. As such, this study offers a comprehensive guide for future research in the field of sport psychology in the context of basketball, which can benefit coaches, athletes, and academics interested in the mental aspects of the sport

Abstract

This study examines the impact of static stretching on flexibility improvement in Taekwondo athletes. Specifically, the purpose of the research is to observe the effects of implementing this method over 14 sessions (conducted three times per week). The research method used is an experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 12 athletes. To measure flexibility, the study employed the Maximal Hip Flexion Activation Knee Extension (MHFAKE) test. Quantitative data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results show that static stretching significantly improves flexibility, with the average score increasing from 35.83 to 21.66 (50.00%). The Wilcoxon test indicated a p-value of 0.002 < 0.05, meaning the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and there is a significant effect. In conclusion, static stretching has a significant impact on the improvement of flexibility in Taekwondo athletes' muscles.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the skill level of basic sepak takraw techniques among sepak takraw athletes at SD Negeri Gunungmalang 03. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method. The participants consist of five students enrolled in the school's sepak takraw extracurricular program, selected based on availability during the test. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted through a football skills test, assessing the frequency of football skills performed within one minute over three trials. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages. The results indicate that the majority of participants demonstrated a "very good" skill level (60%) and a "good" skill level (40%), with no participants falling into the categories of moderate, poor, or very poor. These findings suggest that the sepak takraw extracurricular program at SD Negeri Gunungmalang 03 has positively contributed to improving the students' basic technical skills. The study concludes that structured and consistent training can improve sepak sila skills, which is a crucial component of sepak takraw. Therefore, greater attention should be given to the intensity and quality of training to ensure continuous skill development among athletes.

Abstract

This study uses survey and observation methods at SMK Islam Bustanul Athfal. Ulum Pakusari, the lack of infrastructure, especially mat media, makes learning less effective and efficient. Many students wait for their turn when doing floor gymnastics. In this study, a modification was carried out to create a simple alternative modification of rice straw as a supporting tool for floor gymnastics learning. Modified rice straw measuring 60x120 cm, 30 cm thick, requires a stable balance in its manufacture with straw media as a solution for floor gymnastics learning. The method used is to define, interpret, and explain a situation. The learning process using straw media modifications is very helpful in overcoming the lack of facilities at SMK Islam Bustanul Ulum. Straw is easy to use and as a supporting tool for learning.
