Abstract

This research is to identify and analyze how education policies in Indonesia can be further improved after the Covid-19 pandemic in schools and madrasas. This article focuses on data (Kemendikbudristek), with a focus on the post-pandemic learning recovery agenda. This research is library research, with a qualitative approach. Data was obtained from three sources “Google Scholar”, “ScienceDirect”, and “DOAJ”. The discussion in this article highlights that learning applications must be compatible with 21st century skills. Then it is important to build commitment to mastering basic literacy and numeracy skills. The Ministry of Education and Culture's (Kemendikbudristek) agenda in responding to the recovery of learning after the pandemic is: First, presenting the National Assessment (AN) as a substitute for the National Examination (UN) which focuses on the development and improvement of learning outcomes as well as the school and madrasah environment. Second, the development of digital technology in learning activities. Where, technology certainly cannot replace the role of teachers as the spearhead of education. Third, it is important to renew the world's commitment to education in the education transformation conference. “Transforming Education Summit” (TES). Fourth, reorganize education and accelerate educational progress and the 2030 SDGs agenda. Apart from that, Nadiem’s statement explained that mutual cooperation is the basis for the transformation of Indonesian education, especially in post-pandemic learning recovery, because this form of mutual cooperation is the key to transformation to create higher quality education, that will bring a better and more sustainable future.

Abstract

Strategic planning in Islamic education is an important approach to building schools that are able to integrate Islamic character values with global competencies. With the challenges of globalization and technological advancement, Islamic education must respond with strategies that involve the use of information technology and strengthening character education. Studies show that this approach can improve the competitiveness of schools both locally and internationally. Strengthening character through an Islamic values-based curriculum allows schools to not only produce students who excel academically, but also have high moral and spiritual integrity. The implementation of appropriate strategies such as curriculum innovation and collaboration with international institutions can create globally competitive schools and sustainably prepare students to face an increasingly complex world.

Abstract

Education serves as a future investment for the people of Indonesia. It encompasses not only physical aspects but also non-physical dimensions. Non-physical investment is better known as human resource investment. This study aims to describe education as a human resource investment and to explore its potential as an industry. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, data analysis was conducted by reducing data, reviewing it, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal that treating education as an investment involves managing the field of education seriously, akin to an industry. The education industry belongs to the service sector. In this sector, the most effective promotion is customer recommendations (students) based on satisfaction with the services received during and after transactions. Customers in the education industry, namely students or learners from an institution, exhibit unique characteristics compared to customers in other service sectors. A notable distinction is the prolonged engagement period of customers. Moreover, the increasing demand for formal education, particularly higher education, signifies its growing importance in meeting societal needs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the concept of quality costs in strengthening quality management in Madrasah. This concept involves four main aspects, namely prevention costs, appraisal costs, internal failure costs, and external failure costs. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach, by collecting data through literature reviews from various sources such as books, scientific articles, and relevant journals. The implementation of quality costs can help Madrasahs in improving operational efficiency, reducing waste of resources, and ensuring that the quality of education produced is in accordance with community expectations. This study found that by managing quality costs in a structured manner, Madrasahs can improve the quality of learning, improve the image of the institution, and become more competitive. In addition, this study also proposes the importance of improving communication and transparency with the community, as well as routine maintenance of facilities as a strategy to strengthen quality management. This study suggests that further research explores the long-term impacts of implementing quality costs and involves more stakeholders in evaluating the success of its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the principal in managing student diversity during the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MA Wanagading. Student diversity including social, cultural, academic, and learning needs demands school leadership that is inclusive and adaptable to change. While the Merdeka Curriculum has been widely studied, there is still a lack of research focusing specifically on leadership dynamics within Islamic schools, particularly in managing diverse student populations. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as through observation of learning activities and documentation of school policies. The data were analyzed descriptively through the processes of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the principal acts as an instructional leader, an innovation facilitator, and a promoter of an inclusive culture within the school. Several strategies were implemented, including teacher training on differentiated instruction, the development of adaptive learning policies, and strengthened communication with parents and the community to support student diversity. The study concludes that the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum heavily relies on the quality of school leadership in managing student diversity. A transformative and collaborative principal role creates a more equitable, flexible, and student-centered learning ecosystem. This study offers a practical model for madrasah principals to balance curriculum flexibility with inclusivity, serving as a reference for diversity-based educational policy development.
