Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the risk management process along with risk sources, assess the risks that may arise and analyze the strategies that will be carried out in the planning of Utilizing Empty Palm Oil Fruit Bunches as an Alternative Renewable Fuel to handle or manage risks that may occur. The method used in this activity is to collect data, observe, analyze and evaluate the results of this activity to be able to predict the possibility and impact of risks that occur during the business so that it can be used as a guideline in determining the next steps to evaluate obstacles and threats that are grouped according to their scale. This study explores the technical and economic feasibility of utilizing EFB waste from the palm oil industry for energy production. The use of EFB pellets has proven to be more cost efficient and provides significant environmental benefits, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to the use of conventional coal. In addition, this project supports Indonesia's renewable energy targets and encourages sustainable waste management practices in the palm oil sector. This study also raises the potential for implementing circular economy principles by converting industrial waste into valuable energy sources. Recommendations include optimizing the supply chain and developing pellet production technology to increase efficiency and ensure the long-term sustainability of this project.

Abstract

This study situates Kefamenanu, East Nusa Tenggara, as a significant locus for examining religious freedom, given its plural religious landscape and strong cultural traditions, which together create a concrete arena of tension between individual freedom of belief and dominant social norms. The emergence of new religious groups in this context has generated distinctive social, cultural, and institutional responses, markedly different from those in larger urban settings. Unlike previous studies that have tended to label such groups as “heretical” or “deviant” by focusing on doctrinal divergence, this research offers an alternative perspective by foregrounding social interactions, cultural values, the existential motivations of new adherents, and the role of policy frameworks and inter-agency coordination in shaping social relations. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, informants were purposively selected, including community members, officials from the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol), representatives of the Interfaith Harmony Forum (FKUB), staff of the Office of Religious Affairs, and followers of new religious movements. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed thematically. The findings underscore three key aspects: (1) value conflicts between individual religious freedom and cultural norms reinforced by majority pressures; (2) regulatory inefficiencies and weak inter-agency coordination, including the limited authority of FKUB, which exacerbate conflict and miscommunication; and (3) existential motivations as a critical factor driving individuals to join new religious groups despite stigma and social isolation. Overall, the study demonstrates that religious freedom in Kefamenanu is not solely a matter of individual rights but is deeply interwoven with social identity, group integration, and community stability.

Abstract

This study examines the government’s role in post-disaster mitigation of forest fires on Mount Tampomas, Sumedang. Frequent forest fires reveal suboptimal post-disaster mitigation efforts despite the regulatory role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). A qualitative intrinsic case study method was employed to analyze this phenomenon using primary and secondary data, interviews, field observations, and documentation. Findings show that BPBD’s involvement was limited to emergency response, while rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts were largely carried out voluntarily by community groups, NGOs, and nature enthusiasts. Key challenges include limited resources, lack of technical knowledge, and insufficient formal training on post-disaster mitigation. Funding for mitigation mainly comes from non-governmental initiatives that play a crucial role in environmental recovery. The study recommends improved coordination among stakeholders, enhanced capacity building and training on post-disaster rehabilitation, and dedicated regulations and funding allocations to support community-based mitigation efforts as part of a sustainable disaster management strategy.

Abstract

Access to safe food is a basic right guaranteed by Article 27 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution, which states that every citizen has the right to a decent living. In Indonesia, including Central Sulawesi, food availability is threatened by population growth, making food security a crucial aspect that must be maintained. However, food challenges are not limited to availability, which remains a problem in several regions. The purpose of this study is to analyze and develop sustainable food management in Central Sulawesi through a qualitative approach using SWOT analysis techniques. The research method used is a qualitative approach aimed at exploring in-depth aspects of branding strategy and technology utilization in developing sustainable food management. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observation, focus group discussions (FGDs), and qualitative data analysis to obtain comprehensive information from various stakeholders. This information was then integrated into a SWOT analysis of branding strategy and technology utilization to increase the competitiveness of local food products in domestic and international markets. This approach allows researchers to develop recommendations based on empirical field context. This research found that communities have many external opportunities. They are expected to take several steps, including leveraging policy support to improve access to financing, leveraging digital technology to address branding and marketing limitations, and promoting product certification with the support of government regulations.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest remains a major global health concern, and nurses' ability to perform effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is critical to patient survival. However, significant variations in CPR skills among nurses have been widely reported, influenced by factors ranging from individual characteristics to institutional support. This study aimed to systematically identify and analyze the factors influencing nurses’ competence in performing CPR. A systematic literature review and meta-analysis were conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines, utilizing databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Springer, and Google Scholar to identify relevant articles published between 2021 and 2025. Ten studies met the inclusion criteria and were appraised using the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist. The results indicated that knowledge, education, training, retraining, work experience, situational awareness, work environment, body mass index (BMI), and psychological factors contribute to variations in CPR proficiency. Nevertheless, the pooled meta-analysis revealed a very small and statistically insignificant effect size (0.0665; 95% CI: -0.0464 to 0.1794), with moderate heterogeneity (I² = 57.5%). Subgroup analysis showed that structured training had a more substantial positive effect compared to work experience. These findings suggest that experience alone is insufficient to ensure CPR competence. Therefore, standardized, recurrent training aligned with international guidelines and supported by adequate clinical infrastructure is essential to enhance nurses' resuscitation skills and improve emergency care outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning of local government actors' experiences in efforts to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities through employment training programs. This study uses an interpretive phenomenological approach, so it will focus on how local government actors interpret their experiences, challenges, and results that arise in the implementation of employment training programs for people with disabilities. The data used in this study was collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with key actors in the local government environment as well as analysis of policy documentation and employment training programs. The results show that despite the existence of a regulatory framework that supports the employment rights of persons with disabilities, its implementation still faces structural and cultural barriers. Some of these obstacles include low interest from the business world, limited inclusive training facilities, and a lack of direct involvement of persons with disabilities in program planning. However, there are also progressive local initiatives, such as training based on real labor market needs and collaboration with non-governmental organizations. This study recommends strengthening collaborative inclusive strategies and improving policy evaluation based on the direct experiences of implementing actors.

Abstract

This research aims to analize the responses of the community, the role of the community, and government policies in handling human-wildlife conflicts in Kalibata Village and Sumber Agung Village, Suoh District, West Lampung Regency. This research explains the conflict by presenting data on conflicts that occurred in 2024. This type of research includes field research, which is research conducted directly within the community with the aim of uncovering information and conducting analysis to obtain a deep understanding of a specific activity or object. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, utilizing data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that (1) the response from the community reveals differing perspectives among the residents. Some citizens feel that the policy has not been effective because conflicts are still ongoing. Meanwhile, others, including the government and some citizens, believe that the policy has been effective in terms of socialization and prevention, (2) the role of the community in active participation is very important and has a significant impact on determining the success of conflict management, (3) the policies of the West Lampung Regency Government have implemented measures to reduce conflicts. These policies include the formation of task forces, joint patrols, the installation of signs, and appeals for the community to avoid activities alone in hazardous areas and to limit the time spent in gardens.

Abstract

Self disclosure is a crucial aspect of interpersonal communication that can either strengthen or undermine relationships. This study aims to analyze self disclosure in the characters of a film produced by MD Pictures and directed by Hanung Bramantyo entitled “Ipar Adalah Maut” using DeVito's theory. The research employed a qualitative method through scene observation, dialogue analysis, and documentation. The findings reveal significant differences in the amount of disclosure, a shift in valence from positive to negative, and low accuracy due to lies by Aris and Rani that damaged trust. In terms of intention, self disclosure was used both for emotional support and manipulation, while intimacy between Aris and Rani was toxic compared to the supportive closeness between Nisa and Manda. The study concludes that the quality of self disclosure determines the direction of interpersonal communication: openness without honesty and sincere intentions may turn into a manipulative tool that destroys relationships. This research contributes to communication studies by applying self disclosure theory in film analysis as a medium that reflects family dynamics.

Abstract

The ease of accessing the internet has led to the emergence of cyberloafing in the workplace. Cyberloafing, if not managed properly, can impact employee productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of role stress, work-family conflict, and emotional exhaustion on cyberloafing in employees. The population of this study was office employees in Tangerang. The number of samples in this study was 207 participants. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of employees who were married and aged <40 years. Data analysis used SEM-PLS. The results of the study proved that role stress had an effect on emotional exhaustion, but did not affect cyberloafing. The work-family conflict affected emotional exhaustion and cyberloafing. Then emotional exhaustion became a mediator between the influence of role stress on cyberloafing and the impact of work-family conflict on cyberloafing. This research can be a reference for company leaders to make SOPs that regulate cyberloafing which includes the formula of cyberloafing, restrictions on cyberloafing and sanctions if they violate predetermined limits.

Abstract

The revitalization of youth centers in East Jakarta has been hampered from 2019 to 2024. This study aims to analyze the role of the Jakarta Provincial Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) in revitalizing the youth centers in East Jakarta. The study focuses on three dimensions of government roles according to Pitana and Gayatri's theory: motivator, facilitator, and dynamic agent. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The results show that Dispora also motivates the community to participate in using youth centers as public spaces that support sports, social, and educational activities. As a facilitator, Dispora provides representative facilities and infrastructure and manages fees to support health facilities. As a dynamic agent, Dispora builds cross-sector collaboration, including local community involvement and joint monitoring with relevant institutions. Although the revitalization has shown significant achievements, several obstacles remain, such as delays in project implementation in several sub-districts. This study recommends increasing the effectiveness of coordination, mapping community needs, and conducting regular evaluations of youth center management so that the benefits of revitalization can be felt evenly.
