Abstract

This study analyzes the Islamic educational values contained in Ulil Abshar Abdalla’s book “Jika Tuhan Maha Kuasa, Kenapa Manusia Menderita?” (If God Is Almighty, Why Do Humans Suffer?) as a theological response to Generation Z’s faith crisis in the digital era. Using a qualitative descriptive and literature-based approach, this research explores how the concepts of tauhid (divine unity) and ikhlas (sincerity) are presented as essential values in strengthening spiritual awareness and understanding human suffering from an Islamic perspective. The findings reveal that both values serve as the foundation for developing reflective and humanistic Islamic education, guiding individuals to interpret suffering as a means of spiritual growth rather than divine punishment. The study concludes that integrating tauhid and ikhlas within Islamic education can foster resilience, meaning, and faith maturity among modern Muslim youth.

Abstract

This study addresses the low effectiveness of human resource (HR) strategies, which affects employee performance and organizational outcomes. The purpose is to examine the effectiveness of a fair incentive system for sales personnel and strategies for its development to enhance organizational competitiveness. Using a library research method, secondary data were collected from scientific journals (2020-2025) via the Publish or Perish application. Data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively through content analysis, comparing perspectives from various studies to identify similarities, differences, and research gaps. Findings indicate that a fair incentive system enhances motivation, productivity, and loyalty when it applies principles of fairness in distribution, procedures, and interactions. Effective incentive strategies integrate financial and non-financial rewards, leverage innovation and digital tools, and promote two-way communication. Combining individual and group incentives fosters team synergy and strengthens organizational competitiveness. The study highlights that transparent and performance-relevant incentives are essential for sustainable HR development and organizational success.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of the professional competence of PAUD teachers in improving the quality of technology-based learning. The focus of the study is directed to the teacher's ability to master teaching materials and integrate digital media in accordance with the child's development stage. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main data in the form of class observation results and interviews, involving three informants, namely class teachers, accompanying teachers, and the head of the institution. Data analysis is carried out through reduction techniques, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings show that teachers have mastered the material and are able to design relevant learning experiences, but the utilization of technology is still limited due to lack of technical skills and low confidence in operating digital devices. This research confirms the need for a continuous professional development (PKB) program that specifically strengthens the literacy and technology skills of PAUD teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pedagogical and professional competencies of early childhood teachers in 21st-century learning, particularly regarding the integration of technology and obstacles to creativity in the development of learning media. The study was conducted at Kindergarten “A” involving 10 teachers using qualitative descriptive methods through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that teachers had fairly good pedagogical and professional competencies, including in formulating activity objectives, preparing lesson plans, and delivering material in language appropriate for children. However, teachers' creativity in utilizing media was still limited, especially in the use of simple technology and modification of conventional media. Teachers tended to use the same tools repeatedly without innovation. The lack of training and professional support also hampered the development of creative media. This study recommends improving competence through training, mentoring, and strengthening institutional support to encourage learning innovations that are appropriate for children's development.

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation of Islamic education management in addressing innovation and digital-era challenges through a structured Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The review analyzes how Islamic educational institutions adapt to technological change while preserving Islamic ethical principles as the foundation of managerial practices. The findings reveal a paradigm shift from conventional administrative models toward digitally driven governance marked by enhanced transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Key innovations include curriculum modernization, the expansion of digital learning environments, and the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support effective and value-based learning. Despite these advancements, several obstacles persist, such as varying levels of digital competence among educators, unequal access to technological infrastructure, and cultural resistance to digital adoption. The study concludes that successful digital transformation in Islamic education requires a combination of technological readiness, visionary leadership, policy reform, and human capital development. The research provides conceptual and practical contributions to designing an integrative management model aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

Professional competencies of educators in the digital age, particularly in integrating technology into learning processes, form the cornerstone for enhancing early childhood education quality. However, optimizing these competencies heavily relies on the availability of technological facilities and infrastructure in schools. This study examines how technological infrastructure support at TK PG Amanah can maximize teachers' professional abilities. Using a qualitative approach through case study, data was gathered via observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal that technological resources at TK PG Amanah are severely limited, lacking essentials like computers, projectors, or adequate internet access, thereby hindering teachers from planning and executing technology-based lessons despite their strong personal digital skills. The gap between teachers' capabilities and available facilities prevents optimal implementation of their competencies, forcing a return to conventional teaching methods. In conclusion, technological facilities are not merely supportive but a fundamental prerequisite that determines teachers' capacity to innovate and foster professionalism in the digital era.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of regional fiscal capacity on the performance of the Civil Registration and Population Service (Disdukcapil) of Maluku Province in achieving national administrative targets. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through interviews, document reviews, and field observations. The results show that fiscal capacity significantly supports operational activities, service infrastructure, and outreach programs, particularly for remote island communities. Nevertheless, fiscal capacity alone does not determine performance outcomes. Leadership, coordination, and service innovation also play crucial roles. Despite fiscal limitations, Disdukcapil has adopted adaptive strategies to sustain service delivery, though disparities in access persist. Strengthening fiscal policy, optimizing transfer funds, and improving governance capacity are essential for sustainable and equitable population services. This study contributes to the understanding of fiscal dynamics and public service performance in geographically dispersed regions.

Abstract

This study aims to construct the ethics of public accountants from the perspective of Islamic spirituality. Using a spiritualist paradigm and a spiritualist research design, the study seeks to develop an ethical concept grounded in Islamic spirituality. Through zikr (remembrance of God), prayer, and contemplation methods, the researcher attained balance of intellect, justice, honesty, and love as instruments for data analysis. The findings reveal that the balance of intellect, justice, honesty, and love—reflected in the personality of public accountants—guides them toward humanistic values, fulfilling their role as khalifah (vicegerents) on earth. Ethical public accountants not only uphold professional trust but also spread love toward humanity and nature while nurturing spiritual awareness—an awareness of obedience to the will of God. For humankind, spiritual awareness is a divine instrument used to connect, unite, and return to God—this being the ultimate purpose of human life.

Abstract

This study investigates the dilemma of performance auditing in Indonesia’s public sector through a systematic review of 30 articles published from 2015–2024 using the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Findings show that audits remain largely ceremonial, indicated by a low recommendation implementation rate averaging 12% and the use of audit results for political legitimacy rather than substantive improvement. Analyses of the New Capital City (IKN) project and COVID-19 social assistance reveal that major findings by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) in 2022–2023 were followed mostly by administrative corrections instead of structural reforms. Key barriers include political costs, limited auditor capacity, and weak follow-up monitoring. Evidence from Central Java shows that participatory audits can raise implementation rates by up to 40% through greater horizontal accountability. This study introduces the concept of “political ceremonialism” and recommends stronger monitoring units, integrated e-audit systems, outcome-based competencies, and improved sanctions.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven significant changes in education and requires teachers to adapt to new learning paradigms. Teachers are expected to possess professional competencies, including pedagogical skills, content mastery, digital literacy, and readiness for technological transformation. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities for developing teacher professionalism in the digital era through a literature review. The data were obtained from 35 scientific articles written in Indonesian and published in national journals, accessed through Google Scholar between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate several challenges, such as digital literacy gaps, limited technological infrastructure, resistance to change, lack of continuous training, and high administrative workloads. However, the digital era also offers opportunities for teachers to enhance competencies through online learning platforms, digital media innovation, data-based assessment, and supportive government policies. Developing teacher professionalism requires collaboration among teachers, educational institutions, and policymakers to build an innovative and sustainable learning ecosystem. Adaptive teachers can become agents of change in achieving quality education.
