Abstract

This community service program aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs in North Rupat through a comprehensive approach that includes digital skills training and strengthening business management. There are three main problems faced by business actors: first, the low mastery of digital technology; second, less attractive product packaging; and third, marketing strategies that are not yet effective. To overcome this, this program is designed with four main focuses, namely digital marketing, packaging development, creative content creation, integrated business management, and business communication skills development. The implementation uses a hybrid method that combines face-to-face meetings with online mentoring. This program began with a needs survey and focus group discussions (FGD) to prepare training materials that are right on target. The results include improving the quality of digital marketing content, improving product packaging design, and expanding marketing networks which have an impact on increasing business turnover. In the long term, this program is expected to create MSMEs that are independent, highly competitive in the digital era, and able to reach a wider market, including cross-regional markets. In addition to solving technical problems, the program is also committed to building a sustainable business ecosystem through a holistic empowerment approach. This service activity is also inseparable from the role of students in the assistance that is carried out, this activity is expected to make MSMEs understand how to technically use applications in smartphones to produce content, understand how to make attractive packaging designs based on local wisdom and can take advantage of various new media and social media to implement digital marketing. For this reason, cooperation in various teams is needed in the implementation of midwifery.

Abstract

he Community Service Program (KKN) is increasingly positioned as a strategic service-learning model for community empowerment and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the village level. Through a collaborative and sustainable approach, service-learning integrates education, community service, and measurable impacts across social, economic, environmental, and civic dimensions. This study describes the multidimensional implementation of KKN in Beringin Village, which included social education, economic empowerment (dishwashing soap training and the introduction of branding and marketing for MSMEs), environmental programs, strengthening religious moderation and youth engagement, as well as support for digital village data governance and activity documentation. A descriptive-participatory method was applied through observation, focus group discussions, demonstrations, and field documentation. Initial findings indicate improvements in literacy regarding bullying prevention in partner schools, enhanced basic entrepreneurial skills among household and MSME actors, and the adoption of environmentally friendly practices through biopore infiltration holes for organic waste management and water conservation. These findings are consistent with studies published in SINTA journals, which highlight the effectiveness of branding training and biopore adoption. From a governance perspective, the thematic KKN model serves as a platform for student–citizen collaboration and strengthening village networks. This article formulates a replication strategy involving village asset mapping, designing an integrated service-learning curriculum, applying simple and realistic impact measurements, and planning sustainability beyond the KKN period.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of impaired growth and development in children caused by chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections. Posyandu cadres, as community health representatives, play a critical role in providing health education, delivering basic services, expanding healthcare access in remote areas, and raising public awareness of healthy lifestyles. Strengthening their knowledge and skills is therefore essential. This program aimed to enhance cadres’ competencies in producing cookies made from Moringa oleifera flour, Banggai sweet potato flour, and soybean flour. The implementation comprised several stages: situational analysis with community partners, obtaining authorization from local government, preparing tools and materials, conducting socialization activities, delivering cadre education and training sessions, followed by monitoring and evaluation. Pre-test results revealed low baseline knowledge, categorized as poor (5%), fair (70%), and good (25%). After the intervention, knowledge improved significantly to poor (0%), fair (15%), and good (85%), indicating a 60% overall increase. In addition, cadres gained practical skills in processing moringa, Banggai sweet potato, and soybean flours, as well as developing cookies derived from these local ingredients. In conclusion, the training program substantially improved cadres’ knowledge and practical skills, particularly in formulating innovative supplementary foods based on local food resources, thereby supporting community-based efforts to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Agricultural development in Indonesia requires comprehensive approaches integrating farmer organizations, technological innovation, and marketing strategies to achieve food security and farmer welfare. The Kontak Tani Nelayan Andalan (KTNA) in Pabuaran Subdistrict, Serang Regency, has focused on oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) cultivation as a strategic commodity. However, implementation faces significant challenges due to traditional methods, limited equipment, and inadequate marketing strategies. This community service program aims to support KTNA development through agribusiness-based economic empowerment in Tanjungsari Village by implementing appropriate technology and digital marketing capacity building. The program employed a participatory approach involving 38 KTNA members through five systematic stages: socialization, implementation, management, evaluation, and monitoring. Main interventions included introducing appropriate technology (media mixer and large-capacity steamer oven) and comprehensive digital marketing training. Implementation successfully transformed cultivation efficiency and productivity. The media mixer reduced mixing time by 50% (from over 3 hours to 1.5 hours for 100 bag logs) while improving media homogeneity. The steamer oven increased sterilization capacity to 400 bag logs per cycle, dramatically boosting productivity from 100 kg to 250-300 kg per cycle (150-200% improvement). Digital marketing training enhanced farmers' understanding of online marketing principles, social media utilization, marketplace platforms, and branding strategies. The program achieved 90% competency targets in production, business management, and marketing aspects. Results demonstrate that integrated appropriate technology and digital marketing training can significantly improve oyster mushroom cultivation sustainability, contributing to food security, farmer income enhancement, and agribusiness-based economic development.

Abstract

Aging is a natural process experienced by every individual and influenced by both internal and external factors. External factors such as ultraviolet (UV) exposure, pollution, unhealthy lifestyle, and poor diet can accelerate premature aging. The impacts are not only visible on the skin but may also increase the risk of degenerative diseases and reduce the overall quality of life. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that excessive UV exposure contributes to the rising incidence of skin cancer, premature skin aging, and other health problems (WHO, 2021). Therefore, education on the prevention of external aging factors, including skin protection from UV rays, the use of sunscreen, healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, and balanced nutrition, is essential to raise awareness among adolescents from an early age. This outreach activity focused on providing health education on the dangers of UV radiation and external aging factors as part of the Community Service Program (PkM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Mahasaraswati University, Denpasar. The program was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja -Buleleng, involving students as active participants.

Abstract

Tidung Island in the Kepulauan Seribu district is home to many micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that remain dependent on manual bookkeeping and traditional marketing practices. These limitations reduce operational efficiency and restrict their market reach. To address this, the Socialpreneurship 5.0 program was introduced, featuring SmartFlow dashboards designed on the Notion platform. The system combines three functions: digital financial records, structured social media content planning, and automated business content generation. The program progressed through five stages; socialization, training, application, mentoring, and sustainability, implemented through collaboration between universities, local government, and MSME partners. Outcomes indicate that more than 80% of daily transactions were digitally recorded, monthly financial reports became routine, and social media engagement rose by over 30%. Students also produced five digital business models, and a local MSME digital community was formed. By linking directly to SDGs 8, 9, and 17, the initiative demonstrates how digital inclusion and multi-stakeholder collaboration can strengthen creative economy actors in coastal communities.

Abstract

The promotion of a creative economy based on transformative communication is a strategic effort that integrates economic, social, and cultural aspects through transformative communication processes. This approach aims to do more than just increase creative economy income; It also creates a space for dialogue that enables sustainable social transformation. In this context, transformative communication plays a central role as a medium that drives paradigm change among society. Participatory and inclusive communication allows diverse groups—including those marginalized—to participate in discussions and decision-making about the direction of the creative economy. Through in-depth interactions, communities can realize the previously neglected potential of local economies and begin to develop creative ideas that are relevant to their social and cultural environment. The form of the result is a more transformative concept of creative economy development, fully involving the community in the process of economic advancement in question. This process focuses not only on the development of individual skills, but also on the creation of collaborative networks that strengthen the creative economy ecosystem. Collaboration between artists, entrepreneurs, communities, and governments sparked local innovations that were able to compete in a wider market, both nationally and globally. Transformative communication encourages people to view creativity no longer as a mere product, but as a tool for social change, economic empowerment, and the enforcement of cultural identity.
