Abstract

Abstract COVID-19 is a disease caused by the Coronavirus that emerged in 2019. Currently, the death rate due to COVID-19 in Indonesia is very high, even higher than the world death rate. Public knowledge about COVID-19 and its dangers to oneself is still very low. The Sharing Class program aims to increase public understanding of COVID-19 and its dangers for themselves so that people will be more disciplined in following government regulations as an effort to prevent COVID-19. In addition, this program is also a forum to accommodate all public questions about COVID-19. The method used in this community service activity is socialization against COVID-19 by providing information about steps to deal with COVID-19 as well as adapting new habits during the pandemic. This program is carried out online through the WhatsApp group in three meetings for one month. As a result, the residents of Pakuwon Village are very enthusiastic in gaining knowledge about COVID-19. It is hoped that the public will have the knowledge to deal with COVID-19. Abstrak Masyarakat Indonesia mayoritas sudah mengenal swamedikasi. Nyeri merupakan salah satu gejala penyakit yang dapat diatasi melalui swamedikasi. pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai swamedikasi masih tergolong buruk dan perilaku swamedikasi di Indonesia masih berjalan tidak rasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh dari pemberian edukasi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap penggunaan obat analgesik untuk swamedikasi nyeri. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain praeksperimental, dengan rancangan one group pretest posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap setelah pemberian edukasi (p<0,05). Edukasi penggunaan analgesik untuk swamedikasi nyeri menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap responden.

Abstract

The problem found in Cikelet village, Garut district, was the sensitive issue regarding the halalness of a product. Most village residents do not yet know the authorized institution that provides a halal certificate to a product, the characteristics of a halal product in terms of its packaging and the basic laws of halal products. With the KKN program through community service activities, the PKM team from the Garut University Pharmacy in the KKN program provided a solution to this problem through the promotion of halal food and drinks by providing brochures and direct counseling to residents of various age levels and professions. pre and post test to evaluate the success of the socialization. The aim and targeted outcomes of this outreach are to see an increase in Cikelet residents' knowledge of halal products so that they can increase awareness in choosing something that is safe, good for health and halal. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di desa Cikelet kabupaten Garut adalah adanya isu sensitif mengenai kehalalan suatu produk. Sebagian besar warga desa belum mengetahui lembaga yang berwenang yang memberikan sertifikat halal pada suatu produk, ciri produk halal ditinjau dari kemasannya dan hukum dasar dari produk halal. Dengan adanya program KKN melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tim PKM dari Farmasi Universitas Garut pada program KKN memberikan solusi terhadap permasalah tersebut melalui sosialisasi makanan dan minuman halal melalui pemberian brosur dan penyuluhan langsung kepada warga dengan berbagai tingkatan usia dan profesi, selain itu juga dilakukan pre dan post test untuk mengevaluasi keberhasilan dari sosialisasi tersebut. Tujuan dan luaran luaran yang ditargetkan dari penyuluhan ini untuk melihat peningkatan pengetahuan warga Cikelet terhadap produk halal sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dalam memilih suatu suatu yang aman, baik untuk kesehatan dan halal.

Abstract

The application of green chemistry is an effort to reduce the negative impact on the environment, one of which is eco-friendly dishwashing liquid soap. It hasn’t been commonly used by the public, including Roufus Sunnah Sucinaraja Garut Islamic Boarding School students. This community service activity aims to increase students’ knowledge about eco-friendly alternative chemicals in dishwashing liquid soap products. This activity is also expected to empower students to produce dishwashing liquid soap independently and have the provisions for entrepreneurship. The method in this community service is counselling and practice in making eco-enzyme-based dishwashing liquid soap. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted on students during the implementation of the activity. They were enthusiastic about participating in this activity. The students’ understanding increased regarding eco-friendly chemicals for dishwashing liquid soap and their skills in making these products

Abstract

West Java is blessed with many villages that have advantages in natural resources, such as mountains, agriculture and beautiful plantations. Many villages in this region have the potential to become tourist villages capable of attracting tourists from outside the region. However, there are still many tourist villages that do not have a strong brand and are not promoted effectively using digital media. This attracts researcher to study the real problems faced by these villages. This research aims to describe and identify issues and programs for branding villages in West Java region. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a literature review method based on data obtained from the Garuda Platform. Even though there are dozens of research literature on village branding in Indonesia, unfortunately only 5 documents study villages in West Java. This research succeeded in reviewing these documents and came to the conclusion that villages in West Java actually have superior natural resources, but many of them do not have a strong brand and effective and massive promotion. Abstract

Cipicung Village is an area in Garut Regency that grows a lot of medicinal plants which are used by the people as medicine. Information on the use of plants by the community has been passed down from generation to generation and so that this information is not lost, a plant inventory must be carried out. The aim of this community service activity is to determine the ethnopharmacological use of medicinal plants and document the types of plants used by the Cipicung Village community. The method used in this activity is conducting field surveys and permits, then community service activities by means of exploratory surveys regarding the value of knowledge and use of medicinal plants, as well as evaluating the results. The survey results show that the people of Cipicung Village have good knowledge and use of medicinal plants by using medicinal plants around their environment which are processed into medicinal concoctions. In Cipicung village there are 17 types of medicinal plants used by the community.

Abstract

Scabies is a skin disease that is often ignored. Scabies is still common in Islamic boarding schools with a high prevalence rate. Self-medication is used to treat mild to moderate illnesses without consulting a doctor first. This community service aims to determine the relationship between the level of understanding of scabies' self-medication behavior at SMK Plus Al Istiqomah. The method used begins with the distribution of an initial questionnaire (pre-test), presentation of the material with the help of PowerPoint slides, a question and answer session between students (i) and the presenter, and distribution of the final questionnaire (post-test). The results of this community service activity showed an increase in knowledge of scabies from a percentage of 5% to 87.5%. This means that the education provided can be well received by students at SMK Plus Al-Istiqomah.

Abstract

Stunting masih menjadi masalah cukup besar di Indonesia hingga saat ini dengan prevalensi yang cukup tinggi mencapai 37,2% (Riskesdas, 2023). Angka stunting di Kabupaten Garut mencapai 35%, merupakan daerah tertingi di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pada bulan Juni 2023, Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten (Pemdakab) Garut menyebutkan angka stunting turun menjadi 23,6% dan menargetkan 13% di tahun 2024. Untuk mencapai target tersebut, salah satu strategi Pemdakab Garut dengan membentuk Tim Pendamping Keluarga (TPK) yang merupakan bagian dari Tim Percepatan Penurunan Stunting (TPPS) yang beranggotakan ibu-ibu kader Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) di setiap desa, salah satunya Desa Sukasenang, Banyuresmi. Sebagai upaya untuk membantu program Pemdakab Garut, maka dilakukan penyuluhan pada ibu-ibu kader PKK mengenai pencegahan anemia pada remaja putri (rematri), calon pengantin wanita, dan ibu hamil agar dapat menurunkan risiko lahirnya anak stunting. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu kader PKK mengenai upaya bebas anemia untuk penurunan dan pencegahan stunting. Penyuluhan dilakukan secara audiovisual dengan metode ceramah dan membagikan media leafleat. Dilakukan juga pre-test dan post-test pada responden dengan instrument kuesioner. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan 89% responden berpengetahuan baik dan post-test menunjukkan 100% berpengetahuan baik. Hal ini menunjukkan penyuluhan berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu kader PKK.

Abstract

This community service with the title Utilization of information systems to increase learning motivation using Microsoft SWAY for students of SMK Nuurul Muttaqiin Cisurupan Garut. PKM is carried out at SMK Nuurul Muttaqiin Cisurupan Garut. The objectives include: 1) to increase learning motivation, 2) utilization of application-based information technology, the methods used are lectures, cooperation, and mentoring. In this service, the results that have been achieved have received a good response to the implementation of PKM, which is indicated by the interest in learning to use the sway application. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan judul Pemanfaatan sistem informasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi Belajar Menggunakan Microsoft SWAY pada Siswa/Siswi SMK Nuurul Muttaqiin Cisurupan Garut. PKM di laksanakan di SMK Nuurul Muttaqiin Cisurupan Garut. Tujuannya antara lain : 1) untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, 2) pemanfaatan teknologi informasi berbasis aplikasi, metode yang di gunakan ceramah, kerjasama, dan pendampingan. Dalam pengabdian ini hasil yang telah di capai mendapat respon baik terhadap pelaksanaan PKM, yang di tujukan dengan ketertarikan untuk belajar menggunakan aplikasi sway.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) in efforts to streamline public services needs to be implemented at the village level. ICT can not only enhance services but also be beneficial in data processing, which can be used for development planning, supporting community welfare, and many other benefits. This study aims to identify the readiness for ICT implementation in terms of human resources, infrastructure, institutions, and budget, and to assess the services provided through ICT. The method used is a survey with the research location in Hegarmanah Village, Bungbulang Sub-district, Garut Regency. The findings of this study indicate a limited utilization of technology in marketing products within entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The problem of stunting in Indonesia is a challenge faced in almost all regions, including Garut Regency. To overcome the problem of stunting incidence in Garut Regency, a community service program was implemented in Putrajawa Village, Selaawi District. This program aims to reduce stunting rates through educational seminars designed to increase awareness and understanding of pregnant women and mothers of children under 0-24 months about the causes, impacts, and prevention strategies of stunting. The method used was a one-group pre-test and post-test design, which was used to evaluate changes in participants' knowledge before and after the intervention. The results of the seminar showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of stunting and its prevention measures, with the percentage of good knowledge increasing from 78% before the seminar to 94% after the seminar.
