Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of in-depth research related to the use of learning media in the context of Islamic elementary schools, particularly at SD Islam Darul Falah Kemlokolegi Baron. The effectiveness of learning media is believed to have a significant impact on students' learning outcomes. The main objective of this research is to analyze the extent to which learning media contributes to students' academic achievement. The research approach used is qualitative, with data collection through observations, interviews with teachers and students, and available documentation. The findings of this study support constructivist theory, which states that learning becomes more meaningful when students are actively involved through suitable media. The main conclusion of this research indicates that the appropriate use of learning media can enhance students' motivation and understanding, which ultimately positively impacts the improvement of learning achievement. Theoretically, the results of this study enrich the discussion on the effectiveness of media in the learning process at the elementary school level. Practically, these findings provide recommendations for teachers and school authorities to be more selective and innovative in choosing and developing contextual and engaging learning media. This research also opens opportunities for further exploration of other variables that may also affect students' achievement, such as learning styles, parental involvement, or the learning environment at home.

Abstract

This study is motivated by concerns about profitability in the post-pandemic era, which affects the financial performance of a company, including Bank Rakyat Indonesia. The objective of this research is to analyze the profitability of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) during the period 2020–2023 using financial ratios Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Gross Profit Margin (GPM). The research method used is quantitative, focusing on Bank BRI during the period 2020-2023 through time series analysis. The results indicate that in 2020, BBRI's profitability faced pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to an increase in Non-Performing Loans (NPL), a decrease in interest income, and a rise in credit provisioning costs. However, along with the economic recovery in 2021–2023, the ROA and ROE ratios showed an increase driven by credit growth and the digitalization of banking services. This is evidenced by a significant increase in ROA from 1% in 2020 to 3% in 2022, reflecting positive growth in financial performance, although in 2023 the value stagnated. Return on Equity (ROE) has an average of 10%, which reflects the company's ability to generate profits for shareholders within a reasonable range. Gross Profit Margin (GPM) shows a fairly stable and high performance, with an average of 76%. The conclusion indicates that PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk has an excellent gross profit margin and is able to maintain efficiency in controlling direct costs relative to revenue.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the media Baamboozle on the learning outcomes of Islamic History (SKI) students in Phase B regarding the material "The Migration of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to Yatsrib." The background of this research is the decline in SKI learning outcomes caused by learning that tends to be boring. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design of the one group pretest posttest design type, which consists of one experimental group that is given a pretest and posttest, without a control class. The sample taken includes all students from class four B. The research instrument consists of a test comprising ten multiple-choice questions and five essay questions. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and tests of student learning outcomes. Data analysis uses Homogeneity Test, Normality Test, and t-Test. The conclusion of this study indicates that there is an effect of using the Baamboozle media on the learning outcomes of SKI students in class four B on the material "The Migration of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to Yatsrib," as evidenced by the calculation of the posttest results of the experimental class through the t-test, which meets the requirements, meaning there is an effect of Baamboozle media on the learning outcomes of SKI students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the book Al-'Ājilah al-Fā'idah in learning Arabic at the Arabic Language Development Institute (LPBA) Darul Lughoh wal Karomah (DWK). The book was chosen because it has a practical approach in mastering vocabulary and sentence structure that suits the needs of beginner students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the use of Al-‘Ājilah al-Fā'idah was able to improve students’ understanding of Arabic language rules and accelerate the mastery of basic skills, especially in the aspects of reading and speaking. In addition, this book is also proven to be helpful in building the discipline of learning and motivation of students in studying Arabic. Thus, this book deserves to be used as one of the main references in the learning process of basic level Arabic in the pesantren environment.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a reform initiative in Indonesia’s education system designed to align learning processes with current educational demands and the diverse needs, interests, and potentials of students. It is considered relevant to the challenges of 21st-century education by promoting flexibility, autonomy, and differentiated learning. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles, such as limited teacher experience, lack of educational resources, and unequal access to technological infrastructure. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in schools and analyze the strategies adopted to overcome these challenges. Identified efforts include independent teacher training, the establishment of learning communities, improved time management in the learning process, and adaptive use of technology. The findings are expected to provide a comprehensive picture of the real dynamics of Merdeka Curriculum implementation and serve as input for its ongoing improvement.

Abstract

The quality of coal is significantly influenced by its sulfur content and calorific value, two key parameters in determining energy efficiency and environmental impact. This study aims to analyze the relationship between total sulfur content and gross calorific value (GCV) in coal samples collected from three different locations at PT Bukit Asam Tbk. Sulfur analysis was conducted using a LECO S632 instrument in accordance with the BS ISO 19579:2006 standard, while calorific value was measured using a Parr 6200 bomb calorimeter based on the BS ISO 1928:2020 standard. Analysis of nine samples showed that sulfur content ranged from 0.20% to 0.91%, while final GCV values ranged from 5.790 to 7.772 cal/g. Adjustments for sulfur and acid content resulted in an average decrease in calorific value of 10.3 cal/g. Regression analysis revealed a moderately positive correlation between sulfur content and calorific value, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.4194. Although sulfur in the form of pyrite can contribute energy during combustion, its presence must still be controlled due to the harmful emissions it generates. These findings underscore the importance of sulfur regulation in maintaining energy efficiency and coal quality in line with industry standards.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on parental involvement in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, despite its significant impact on students’ academic achievement and character development, especially in elementary schools with limited resources. The study aims to explore the effects of low parental involvement on student learning and to identify its underlying causes at SDN Gadang 2 Banjarmasin. A qualitative case study approach was employed with 10 purposively selected participants, including parents, teachers, and the vice principal. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations, and document analysis, and examined using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that low parental involvement is primarily due to economic hardship, limited education, and social norms that perceive schooling as a mere formality. These results highlight the importance of strong collaboration between families and schools. The study concludes that raising parental awareness and reinforcing synergy among schools, families, and communities are essential to support the success of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research contributes theoretically to the literature on family roles in primary education and practically by recommending continuous parenting programs and intensive curriculum outreach by schools.

Abstract

This research is based on the tendency of Library and Information Science students to use Meta AI as an information source, raising questions about its effectiveness, efficiency, benefits, and usefulness. The purpose of this study is to describe the perceptions of Library and Information Science students regarding the use of Meta AI as an information source for academic tasks. This research employs a descriptive quantitative research method. The subjects of this study are Library and Information Science students at Padang State University who entered in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The sample consists of 73 respondents selected using purposive sampling technique. The theoretical framework used in this research is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Data analysis results show that the perceived usefulness indicator of Meta AI received an average score of 2.97, while the perceived ease of use indicator received an average score of 3.11. Therefore, the overall perception of usefulness and ease of use of Meta AI received a score of 3.04, placing it in the good category. Based on the overall average score, it can be concluded that Library and Information Science students have a positive perception of using Meta AI as an information source for academic tasks.

Abstract

Education plays an essential role in the civilization of a nation. However, many students still have difficulty understanding the knowledge delivered by teachers, including in Islamic Education (PAI) subjects, especially the appreciation of Asmaul Husna Al-Wahhab and Al-Kabir. This research aims to develop a learning media product as a digital flipbook, namely CERGAM SIWAK (Illustration Story of Al-Wahhab and Al-Kabir). The method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE model approach (Analyse, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate). This research was conducted on 25 grade 3 students at MI Al-Ishlah Sulambitan, Ganeas, Sumedang, West Java. The research results showed that this flipbook received a media validation percentage of 95% and a material validation of 77.5%. It indicates that this product is very good and worthy of being used as a tool in PAI learning. Thus, CERGAM SIWAK is expected to improve students' appreciation of Al-Wahhab and Al-Kabir in educational institutions, especially religious education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students at SD 1 Kalirejo on the topic of time measurement using the Problem Based Learning model supported by concrete media in the form of a time board. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study are second-grade students in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 30 students, comprised of 19 boys and 11 girls. Cycle I and Cycle II each took place over three meetings. The results indicate an improvement in the average score of students from 58 in the pre-cycle to 70.07 in Cycle I, and reaching 82.43 in Cycle II. The percentage of classical completeness also increased from 43.33% in the pre-cycle to 66.67% in Cycle I, and reaching 80% in Cycle II. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the application of the PBL model also positively impacted students' active participation, critical thinking skills, and teamwork. The utilization of concrete media in the form of a time board facilitated students' understanding of the concept of time visually and tangibly, which is appropriate for their cognitive development level. The results of this study confirm that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by concrete media has been proven effective in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes for students at the elementary school level.
