Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran khususnya e-modul interaktif yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dan tes. Alat penelitian yang digunakan meliputi angket respon siswa, angket validasi media dan materi, serta soal pretest dan posttest sebanyak 20 soal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan IBM SPSS 25 yang digunakan untuk melakukan uji t. Efektivitas media pembelajaran e-modul interaktif dengan hasil uji T menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dan nilai ? sebesar 0,05. Dengan kriteria pengambilan keputusan pengujian hipotesis uji-t sehingga HO ditolak dan Ha diterima. Nilai t hitung pada hasil belajar sebesar 11,560 dan nilai t tabel sebesar 2,201 sehingga t hitung > t tabel atau 11,560 > 2,201. Dengan demikian, penggunaan e-modul interaktif memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengamati teman sebaya secara kritis. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penggunaan media yang kurang variatif dan kurang menarik sehingga mengakibatkan hasil belajar kurang optimal. Kurangnya pengembangan media secara terbuka menjadi faktor yang menyebabkan kurangnya media pembelajaran yang dapat melengkapi kebutuhan siswa selain paket buku atau LKS, yaitu media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses oleh siswa dan memiliki kelengkapan materi yang dibutuhkan.

Abstract

The Sunda Strait is a strategically body of water that connects the Indian Ocean with the Java Sea.. Besides being a busy international shipping route, it also exhibits complex oceanographic characteristics, particularly in relation to ocean current dynamics. Ocean currents in this region play a key role in sediment distribution, and the safety and efficiency of maritime navigation. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing ocean current speed in the Sunda Strait using a literature study method. Data were collected from scientific journals, reference books, and relevant previous research reports. A qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted to interpret findings from various sources. The study reveals that the speed of ocean currents in the Sunda Strait is affected by a combination of oceanographic and meteorological factors. Key influences include seabed topography, depth variations, sea surface temperature, seasonal wind patterns, tidal dynamics. Narrow passages and uneven seabed contours can either accelerate or slow down water flow in different locations. Sea surface temperature differences and monsoonal wind patterns, influence both the direction and strength of water mass movements. Furthermore, tidal dynamics contribute to periodic changes in current speed and direction, helping to shape circulation patterns throughout the strait. Understanding the interaction of these multiple factors is essential for effective coastal resource management, navigation safety, and marine risk mitigation. This study recommends further research involving in-situ field observations and the application of numerical modeling to provide a more detailed and accurate analysis of ocean current dynamics in the Sunda Strait

Abstract

Transformasi pembelajaran matematika menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam merespons rendahnya literasi matematis siswa Indonesia, sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh hasil PISA. Pembelajaran yang masih bersifat prosedural dan minim visualisasi menyulitkan siswa mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan video animasi berbasis aplikasi Benime terhadap literasi matematis siswa madrasah dalam pembelajaran matematika kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen tipe pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari 64 siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan media video animasi Benime, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian yang telah divalidasi dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t independen dan Cohen’s d untuk mengukur efek. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol (t_hitung = 2,934; sig. 0,005). Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen (88) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (75,26). Uji effect size menunjukkan nilai Cohen’s d sebesar 0,90 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Penggunaan video animasi berbasis aplikasi Benime terbukti berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap peningkatan literasi matematis siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi media digital kontekstual dalam mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang lebih bermakna dan aplikatif di era digital.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills as a reflective and rational thinking process, which is carried out seriously to determine what to believe and what actions to take. This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of science of grade IV students of Ciawi III Elementary School using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on leaf material. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) method with a population of 18 people which is carried out in 2 cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II and is carried out in 3 days, namely Thursday, Monday and Tuesday in March 2025. Data collection techniques used are tests, observations and documentation. The results obtained showed an increase in critical thinking skills by 80% using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. Therefore, the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has a positive impact on improving the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can be used by teachers as a way to provide broad understanding with the help of learning models.

Abstract

The study investigated high school students' misconceptions regarding the concept of Kinematics, using the Five-Level Diagnostic Test to identify and analyze these misconceptions. The core problem discussed is the constant misunderstanding of basic physics concepts, which hinders student learning outcomes and conceptual understanding. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology, combining diagnostic tests, interviews, and observations to collect comprehensive data on student misconceptions. This multi-faceted approach allows for a deeper understanding of the factors that contribute to these misconceptions, including pedagogical and environmental influences. The findings revealed that a large number of students struggled with the concept of Kinematics, especially in determining speed and speed changes. The study concluded that misconceptions arise not only from cognitive limitations but also from inadequate teaching strategies. To address this problem, the study recommends the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with scaffolding techniques to improve conceptual understanding and reduce misunderstandings effectively

Abstract

Growing character education in elementary schools can be done through integration in learning. Even mathematics subjects that are considered as subjects that dwell on counting can integrate the content of character education. This study aims to determine the management of character education through mathematics learning in elementary schools including lesson planning, implementation of learning and evaluation of mathematics learning. The method used is qualitative with the type of library research with the object of research explored th rough various library information. The data analysis technique used is interactive data analysis using the Milles and Huberman model. The results showed that 1) The management of character education through mathematics learning includes program design and lesson plans covering character education in important skills and basic skills, and has a student character evaluation card. The character values listed in the curriculum and lesson plans include religion, honesty, discipline, democracy, creativity, curiosity, tolerance, social care, communication, and responsibility. 2) The management of character education in the preliminary activities of learning mathematics is for the teacher to get used to the application of religion, discipline, methods and environmental care. 3) Management of character education in the evaluation of mathematics learning, the teacher conducts an assessment by conducting daily tests and observing the attitudes, knowledge and skills of students in the learning process. Assessment or ev aluation of learning carried out in the learning process and tests can be done by observing social and religious attitudes, knowledge and skills of students.

Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model was implemented with 12 fifth-grade students (6 boys, 6 girls) to enhance critical thinking skills in understanding the "Changing Earth" material. Conventional teaching methods were deemed insufficient in stimulating critical thought and in-depth comprehension of this complex concept. The structured PBL implementation spanned from problem orientation to evaluation, conducted in the classroom according to the schedule. Formative assessments through observation and worksheets, along with summative evaluations, demonstrated success with improved student understanding, with most achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Student interaction and enthusiasm increased, and critical thinking abilities began to develop, fostered by the teacher's positive reinforcement and appreciation. The success was evident in the students' ability to analyze the impact of human activities and natural disasters on Earth's changes. However, a primary obstacle was the limited time for group discussions and presentations, resulting in only one group having the opportunity to present their findings. A proposed solution to overcome this time constraint is to divide the discussion and presentation activities into multiple learning sessions for more effective time management.

Abstract

Strengthening 21st-century competencies requires students to possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems effectively. One effort to support this is through the implementation of instructional models that are relevant to current educational demands, such as Problem-Based Learning based on the Pancasila Student Profile. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills in experimental class I, namely students taught using the Pancasila Student Profile-based Problem Based Learning learning model in class X-1 SMA Panca Budi on the material of the Three-Variable Linear Equation System, were in the Very Good category. While in experimental class II, students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in class X-2 SMA Panca Budi on the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System are in the Good category. The mathematical problem solving ability of students in experimental class I, namely students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model based on the Pancasila Student Profile in class X-1 SMA Panca Budi on the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System is in the Very Good category. While in experimental class II, students who were taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in class X-2 SMA Panca Budi on the material of the Three Variable Linear Equation System were in the Bai category. There is a significant difference in the critical thinking and mathematical problem solving skills of students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model based on the Pancasila Student Profile which is known to be better in improving students' critical thinking and mathematical problem solving skills.

Abstract

This research aims to develop IPAS comics on human digestive system material to train Nature of Science (NOS) for 10-11 year old students. The method used is the Borg and Gall model, involving validators from two media experts, two material experts, and one language expert. The validation results show that the developed comic has high feasibility, with percentages of 94% for material, 97% for media, and 98% for language. Thus, this comic is feasible and can be used as a learning medium, and is expected to increase students' understanding and interest in natural science. This research recommends integrating comics into the curriculum to support more innovative learning.

Abstract

The development of plotagon-based video media is one of the innovations that aims to improve students' understanding of the concept of counting numbers. Although the material of integers is very important for grade 2 elementary school students, often students do not have enough resources to understand thoroughly. This study aims to measure the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning media developed using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The results of the media validation test showed presentations reaching 75% and 84%, while the material validation test gave a presentation of 80%, which means both were classified as valid. The results of the media practicality test given to teachers showed an average score of 97%, including in the very practical category.
