Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee work discipline at the Banten Provincial DPRD Secretariat, focusing on the implementation, policies, and rules that influence employee discipline behavior. Work discipline is an important factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in a government environment that demands high professionalism. The problems identified include late attendance, non-compliance with working hours, lack of responsibility for tasks, and weak supervision, which can have an impact on organizational effectiveness and public service quality. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain a holistic understanding of the situation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of work discipline at the Banten Provincial DPRD Secretariat still faces various obstacles, both from the internal side of employees and from the institutional side. Factors such as exemplary leadership, reward systems, strict sanctions, and consistent supervision play an important role in improving work discipline. The study further reveals that inconsistencies in applying sanctions and unequal treatment between civil servants and non-civil servants reduce the effectiveness of discipline policies. Therefore, strengthening leadership role models, ensuring fairness, and enhancing transparency in disciplinary enforcement are urgently needed. This study recommends the need for increased assertiveness in implementing regulations, providing motivation, and improving discipline management in order to create a better and more professional work culture, ultimately contributing to improved government performance and accountability.

Abstract

This study examines the massive demonstrations on August 25-29, 2025, as a manifestation of the disintegration of the social contract between the people and the state. These actions stemmed from deep disappointment with the House of Representatives (DPR), sparked by the issue of allowance increases and the arrogance of council members. Using a socio-legal approach, this study argues that the demonstrations signaled a breakdown in the political and moral legitimacy of the people's representatives, where the law was no longer obeyed out of conviction, but rather out of coercion. Key findings indicate that the DPR's non-participatory legislative function, exacerbated by systemic abuse of power to serve oligarchic interests, has significantly eroded public trust. Although the quantity of DPR legislation in the 2019-2024 period increased, its quality is questionable due to the practice of "fast-track" legislation and the low completion of the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) targets. Comparative analysis reveals a recurring pattern of protests against flawed legislation. However, the 2025 demonstrations saw a new escalation after a tragic incident that killed a protester, shifting the focus of public anger from policy issues to alleged human rights violations by the authorities. This study concludes that the restoration of trust can only be achieved through a more participatory and transparent reconstruction of the social contract, as well as firm law enforcement against individuals who betray the public mandate.

Abstract

This thesis examines the influence of Islamic preaching (dakwah) through Instagram on attitude changes among students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program (KPI), class of 2022, at Al-Zaytun Islamic Institute of Indonesia (IAI AL-AZIS), Indramayu. The main phenomenon explored is the use of Instagram as a medium for dakwah and the extent to which it can trigger changes in students’ attitudes. The study aims to analyze cognitive, affective, and conative attitude changes resulting from exposure to dakwah content on Instagram, as well as to understand students’ preferences in selecting effective dakwah content. The research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, and the data were thematically analyzed to identify patterns and meanings derived from students’ experiences. The findings show that Instagram is perceived as an effective medium of dakwah among KPI students. They prefer concise, visual, and easy-to-understand content such as short videos, reels, quotes, and carousels. The main factors attracting students are persuasive delivery styles, the relevance of themes to their daily lives, and appealing visual designs. Their motivation to follow dakwah accounts is primarily driven by the need for inspiration, motivation, and spiritual support. The impact of Instagram-based dakwah is evident in cognitive (religious knowledge), affective (religious feelings and attitudes), and conative (religious practices) aspects. However, these changes tend to be temporary and inconsistent. Thus, although Instagram is effective as a medium of preaching dakwah, both internal and external reinforcement are required to ensure more sustainable impacts

Abstract

Mistakes in understanding perception result in gaps in thought patterns and behavior. The aim of this research is to determine the condition of behavior of victims of verbal bullying , to find out the stages of efforts of REBT-based individual counseling services in dealing with students due to verbal violence. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Qualitative research is based on primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through participatory observation , in-depth interviews with three students who were victims of bullying and one guidance and counseling teacher, documentation in the form of counseling protocols and counseling record cards. This research shows that counseling (REBT) is effective in dealing with students who are victims of verbal bullying. Guidance teachers explore component A (events), component B (beliefs and thoughts), and components C/D/E (feelings, behavior and results). After students internalize REBT, there is a change in attitude and positive perception of the negative impacts they experience. This research found several changes in thought patterns, increased morality, solidarity and increased awareness of the strength of personal mentality due to verbal violence. Aspects of students' mental development become better after individual counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of the wife's role as head of household amidst the social and economic changes in modern Indonesian society. Using a descriptive quantitative approach based on secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and legal sources, the research reveals a significant increase in women’s participation in the workforce and higher education. These findings suggest the need to reconsider traditional household roles as outlined in Law No. 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI).

Abstract

Language development in a child is related to the cognitive development that the child has mastered. This research aims to describe the extent of language development in 12 year old children in expressing opinions. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject in this study was a 12 year old child, male, and with the initials AMF. This data comes from interactive interview tests and listening and note-taking techniques regarding AMF's opinions. The results of the research show that: (1) the language development of a 12 year old boy with the initials AMF is perfect. (2) AMF has mastered the syntactic aspects and found 2 sentence structures, namely simple sentence structures and complex sentence structures. (3) in the interview results, AMF can speak sentences well and complexly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of using an audio-visual learning method based on animated videos on students' interest and learning outcomes in the subject of Economics for 11th-grade students. The research method used is experimental quantitative. The population of this study consists of 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Sutojayan, with a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included a questionnaire to measure learning interest and a cognitive achievement test in the form of multiple-choice questions. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test with SPSS 27.0 for Windows. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine whether the use of audio-visual learning methods affects students’ learning interest in Economics at SMAN 1 Sutojayan, Blitar Regency, and 2) To determine whether the use of audio-visual learning methods affects students’ learning outcomes in the same subject and class. The data collection method for learning interest used a questionnaire, while learning outcomes were measured using a post-test. The sample consisted of 62 students from a total population of 340 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Sutojayan. Data processing included validity testing, reliability testing, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and hypothesis testing (t-test), all conducted using SPSS 27.0 for Windows. The research results showed: 1) The use of audio-visual learning methods significantly influences students’ learning interest, as evidenced by the sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. 2) The use of audio-visual learning methods significantly influences students’ learning outcomes, also evidenced by a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the average learning interest score in the experimental class (77.29) was higher than in the control class (64.90), and the average learning outcome score was also higher in the experimental class (80.71) compared to the control class (72.58). Therefore, based on these results, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

This research aimed to explain the effectiveness of using the YouTube application in based learning media on ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The research method used was descriptive qualitative which aimed to obtain in-depth information about the effectiveness of using the YouTube application in ICT-based learning media for class XI students of SMA Nurul Hasanah Ciheulang Lebak Banten through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. Through the Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques, researchers collected and reviewed existing data, performed data reduction, data presentation, and concluded it. The research results were that teachers could display interesting, interactive, and fun learning videos, became a medium for self-expression and foster creativity in students in practicing teaching materials, and learning could be accessed anytime and anywhere without being limited by space or time.

This study aims to determine the mechanism of handling complaints and supervision of environmental compliance by the East Java Provincial Environmental Agency (DLH) against PT. X, which is an activated carbon industry. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of optimal students' understanding of social studies materials. Students tend to think that social studies materials focus more on recall and memorization. As a result, interest in learning is low, will have an impact on unsatisfactory learning outcomes. A learning model is needed to increase student involvement, so that interest and learning outcomes increase, one of which is gallery walk-type cooperative learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) Is there an effect of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model on students' learning interest in social studies class VIII at SMPN 1 Bandung Tulungagung? (2) Is there an effect of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in social studies class VIII at SMPN 1 Bandung Tulungagung? (3) Is there an effect of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model on students' interest and learning outcomes in social studies class VIII at SMPN 1 Bandung Tulungagung?. There are several objectives taken from the background of these problems in general, namely it is expected to determine the influence of the gallery walk-type cooperative learning model on students' interests and learning outcomes in social studies subjects in grade VIII at SMPN 1 Bandung. The approach of this research uses a quantitative method with a quasi experimental type, a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of students in class VIII F as the control class and VIII J as the experimental class, each totaling 32 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data is collected through questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The data analysis included instrument tests, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of this study are (1) There is an effect of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model on the learning interest of grade VIII students in social studies subjects at SMPN 1 Bandung Tulungagung. Independent test sample t-test sig.(2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 then H0 rejected H1 accepted. (2) There is an influence of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects at SMPN 1 Bandung Tulungagung.
