Abstract

The Indonesian constitutional system underwent fundamental transformation following the four amendments to the 1945 Constitution between 1999 and 2002, fundamentally redefining the constitu-tional status of the President and Vice President within the framework of democratic transition. This study examines the comprehensive changes in executive authority, institutional design, and accountability mechanisms that emerged from Indonesia's gradualist approach to constitutional reform. Using normative legal research methodology through statute and conceptual approaches, this research analyzes primary legal materials including the amended 1945 Constitution, relevant legislation, and secondary materials com-prising scholarly journals and legal literature. The study employs a multi-dimensional analytical framework encompassing institutional, authority, accountability, and relational dimensions to assess the transfor-mation of executive power. Results demonstrate that the amendments successfully established direct popular elections for both offices, implemented two-term limitations, and created robust accountability mechanisms including judicial review by the Constitutional Court and enhanced legislative oversight. The constitutional reforms eliminated the previous concentration of virtually unlimited presidential power while strengthening the Vice President's role from a nominal position to a constitutionally empowered successor. The study concludes that Indonesia's gradualist constitutional reform approach successfully balanced democratic innovation with political stability, creating an effective separation of powers system with meaningful checks and balances, though challenges remain regarding democratic consolidation and institutional effectiveness in preventing authoritarian regression.

Abstract

State Elementary School 1 Kemiri is one of the elementary schools that has diverse student characters. In daily learning, various dynamics of social interactions emerge, including bullying behavior that still often occurs among fifth grade students. This phenomenon is of concern because it has a direct impact on the comfort of learning and the development of their social attitudes. Therefore, this study was conducted to reveal the forms of bullying that occur and to examine the influence of instilling Pancasila values on preventing it. This study uses quantitative methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and surveys. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using a number of statistical tests, such as validity, reliability, normality, linearity, simple linear regression, and determination. The aim is to see to what extent the internalization of Pancasila values is able to influence the reduction in bullying rates in schools. The results of the study showed that the dominant forms of bullying were verbal and social bullying. The factors underlying this behavior include the influence of the family environment, peer pressure, and exposure to social media. From the results of the data analysis, it is known that Pancasila values play a significant role in reducing bullying behavior, with a contribution of 66%, while the rest is influenced by other factors that are not studied further. Thus, the instillation of Pancasila values has proven to be important in supporting the creation of a safe and educational school atmosphere, as well as being a preventive effort in reducing bullying behavior at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study examines the representation of class struggle and systematic exploitation in "The Purge: Anarchy" (2014) through a Marxist theoretical framework to understand how contemporary dystopian cinema critiques capitalist social relations. The research addresses how the film represents class struggle and illustrates systematic exploitation as mechanisms of social control using qualitative descriptive methodology with Marxist literary criticism approach. Analysis was conducted through multiple systematic viewings of the film, focusing on character interactions, narrative structures, and visual elements that demonstrate class conflict and social inequality. The main findings reveal that the film effectively portrays class struggle through character conflicts that embody class tensions, spatial arrangements that physically manifest class divisions, and narrative structures that reveal institutional mechanisms of oppression. The study demonstrates that systematic exploitation is illustrated through power dynamics between social classes, government institutions that facilitate class-based violence, and visual representations that make economic inequality concrete and immediate. The film's hunting auction scenes, where wealthy elites pay $200,000 to hunt poor citizens, exemplify how dystopian narratives transform abstract Marxist concepts into visceral narrative events accessible to mainstream audiences. The research concludes that "The Purge: Anarchy" succeeds as a contemporary critique of capitalism by integrating class struggle and systematic exploitation as interconnected mechanisms. The film uses its dystopian setting to make visible the violence underlying everyday capitalist relations while serving as a vehicle for developing class consciousness through popular entertainment.

Abstract

The focus of this research is on identifying grammar errors in students’ descriptions of office spaces.Using Corder’s (1974) taxonomy, four types of errors were identified: omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. Data were collected from eight students and analyzed qualitatively. The results show that misformation was the most frequent error, followed by omission, addition, and misordering. These findings suggest that students’ writing skills are still influenced by incomplete language development and native language interference. The study recommends grammar-focused feedback and the use of authentic materials to improve students’ accuracy and fluency in English writing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence and motivation on employee performance, while also examining the moderating role of servant leadership. Competence and motivation are considered key drivers of improved performance; however, their effectiveness may vary depending on the leader-ship style adopted within the organization. This research employs a quantitative method using a survey approach targeting employees at BBPVP Semarang. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The findings reveal that competence has a positive and significant impact on employee performance, whereas motivation does not show a direct effect. Furthermore, servant leadership was found to weaken the relationship between competence and per-formance but strengthen the link between motivation and performance. This suggests that the more servant leadership is applied, the stronger the influence of motivation on employee performance. These findings offer practical implications for organizations to focus on competence development, enhancing employee motivation, and adopting a service-oriented leadership style to foster optimal performance.
