Abstract. This research was conducted to obtain data and information on the effectiveness of puzzle media in mastering German vocabulary for XI grade students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. The type of this research is quasi-experimental and the data is obtained through a vocabulary mastery test and the data is analyzed by t-test. The population of this research is the XI grade students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar which consists of six classes and 180 students. The sample used was a random sample (Randam Sampling) consisting of 60 students, namely 30 students of XI Mipa2 as the experimental class and 30 students of XI Mipa3 as the control class. The results of data analysis obtained through tcount = 5.11> ttable = 2.002 at a significance level of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that the puzzle media is effective in mastering the German vocabulary of class XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar.

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research that aims to determine the increase in students' German vocabulary mastery by using the Quizlet application. The research subjects were students of class X IPS 1 SMA Kartika XX-1 Makassar, totaling 19 people and carried out in two cycles. The data in this study consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through observation and quantitative data through vocabulary tests (multiple choice, true-false, and matchmaking). The results of data analysis showed that the scores obtained by students on the German vocabulary proficiency test were 70.31% in the first cycle and 96.42% in the second cycle. This shows that the use of Quizlet can improve the vocabulary mastery of X IPS 1 students at SMA Kartika XX-1 Makassar.Keyword: Quizlet, Vocabulary, German

Abstract. This research is a descriptive quantitative research that was aimed to determine the ability and factors influencing the 12th grade students of SMA Insan Cendekia Syech Yusuf in writing汉字 [Hànzi]. The population in this study is 23 students from class XII MIA 2 SMA Insan Cendekia Syech Yusuf. The total of sample consisted of 10 students who were obtained purposively (purposive sampling). The data of this study were obtained through the 汉字 [Hànzi] writing test and questionnaires. The test results showed an average value of 48.8% and was in the very poor category. From the results of the questionnaire distribution, it was found that there are two factors that play an important role in influencing the students' ability of writing 汉字 [Hànzi], which are: 1) Supporting factors such as teacher's interesting way of teaching Chinese that make the students' interest in learning Mandarin is very high. 2) The inhibiting factors such as: Mandarin is a difficult subject; students do not know the basic rules in writing 汉字[Hànzi]; the lack of writing practice outside and inside class hours; difficulty in remembering Hanzi characters; parents rarely provide motivation to learn Mandarin

Abstract. This research was classroom action research which consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in German vocabulary mastery of class XI students of SMA Negeri 11 Makassar through active learning strategies. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 3, totaling 20 people. This research data consists of two types, namely quantitative and qualitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through observation sheets and qualitative data was obtained through tests of German vocabulary mastery in cycles I and II. The data was analyzed using the average technique. The results of this study obtained that students in the first cycle reached 74.25 and the second cycle 82 experienced an increase of 8%. This shows that the application of the active learning strategy improves the mastery of German vocabulary in class XI SMA Negeri 11 Makassar.

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the students' ability to read and understand German texts and the factors that influence their ability to read and understand German texts in class XI Social Sciences at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. This research is descriptive quantitative. Data were obtained through written tests and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the percentage technique. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 8 Makassar which consisted of 3 classes with a total of 105 students. The sample of this research is the students of class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 8 Makassar as many as 25 students who were selected by random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the ability to read and understand German texts in class XI SMA Negeri 8 Makassar is included in the sufficient category (65%).

Abstract. This research is descriptive quantitative which aims to determine the ability and factors that influence listening to the drama "die Räuber" by Friedrich Schiller of 11th grade students of Islamic High School 1 Makassar. The population of this research 11th grade students “Math and Sciense Major (MIA) 5 of Islamic High School 1 Makassar with the total of 40 students. The sample of this research is 40 students obtained using Total Sampling. The data of this research was obtained through a listening test for the drama "die Räuber" by Friedrich Schiller and the provision of a questionnaire. The results of the listening test showed an average score of 75.6% and were in the good category. From the results of the distribution of the questionnaire data obtained that there are two factors that play an important role in influencing students' listening skills, namely: 1) Supporting factors, students are interested and enthusiastic in participating in learning to listen to German drama. 2) The inhibiting factor, students get bored easily and lack the potential to listen to German dramas.

Abstract. This study aims to determine the planning, process, and results of pop-up book learning media in the German speaking skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. This research is a classroom action research which consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, totaling 30 students. This research data consists of two types, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained through observation while quantitative data was obtained through speaking skills tests in cycle 1 and cycle II. The results showed that the students' speaking skills in the first cycle were 77.91 and in the 85.62 cycle. These results indicate that the use of pop-up book learning media improves the German speaking skills of students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Makassar.

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the effectiveness of using Edpuzzle media on the learning outcomes of listening to German students in class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design (non-equivalent control group design). The population of this research is the students of class XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 3 as the experimental class and students of class XI MIPA 4 as the control class which were selected randomly (random sampling). The instrument in this study was a test consisting of multiple choice and true-false tests. Data analysis using the Independent sample t-test test shows the value of > that is 2.610 > 2.00665 and the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.012 (p<0.05)). That is, the results of this study indicate that the use of Edpuzzle is effective on the learning outcomes of listening to German for students in class XI SMAN 8 Makassar.

Abstract. This research aims to classify the types of errors made by the 8th grade students of Athirah Islamic Middle School II Makassar in writing 汉字 (Hànzì) of Mandarin language. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative which collecting the data by doing a writing in汉字 (Hànzì) tests and questionnaires. The analysis method used is the error analysis method by Tarigan (2013). The population of this research is all the students of 8th grade in Athirah Islamic Middle School II Makassar who chose Mandarin as an optional subject totaling 15 of students which is as the total sample. The results of data analysis showed that the writing error of 汉字 (Hànzì) was at the frequency of 96 or 64% and 13 or 13.57% as the highest errors for the character 年 (nián) which means "year" with at the frequency of 1 or 1.04% as the lowest error for the character 三 (sān) which means “three” and 人 (rén) which means “person”, also at the frequency of 0% as no writing errors were found for the character 二 (èr) which means "two". In filling out the questionnaire, there were 7 students or 46.67% which stated that it was difficult to learn Mandarin and 11 or 73.33% which stated that they rarely learn 壁画 (Bǐhuà) 笔顺 (Bǐshùn) in writing 汉字 (Hànzì).

Abstract. This study aims to describe the changes in meaning that occur in foreign language absorption vocabulary in Indonesian. The data source in this study is Indonesian vocabulary absorbed from Foreign languages, namely Dutch and English. The data in this study is a dictionary of foreign absorption words in Indonesian by J.S Badudu. Data collection techniques using document review techniques. This research uses qualitative approach and research type using descriptive method. The results of this study researchers found the words absorption that experienced a change in meaning, as for the word absorption that experienced changes in meaning in the form of expansion, narrowing and total changes. The expansion of meaning is a process that occurs in a word that at first only has a meaning, but then because various factors become have other meanings. The Dutch example of the word "paniek" means panic. The narrowing of meaning is a process that occurs in a word that initially has a broad enough meaning, then changes to be limited to a meaning only. Examples of such emphasis words in English are pressure and heavy points, while the meaning in Indonesian is the pressure on syllables or on words and the emphasis on importance (something). The total change of meaning is a process of changing the meaning that has now been much different from the meaning of the original word. Examples of the word "morgem (BB)" are absorbed in The Indonesian language into besuk. The change in meaning that occurs because of the shift in meaning is the word besuk means making a visit to the hospital to visit people who are sick
