Abstract

Abstract. This research is classroom action research which aims to determine the planning, implementation and description of the implementation results of the Project Based Learning model in improving the writing skills of class XII MIPA 5 students at SMA Negeri 13 Bone. In this research, there are two types of data, namely qualitative data which describes the results of implementation and observation during the teaching and learning process, and quantitative data which is the results of tests on students German writing skills. Based on the results of data analysis, the average value in cycle 1 was 69.76 and in cycle 2 there was increase to 81.29.  From the results of this research, it can be stated that the Project Based Learning model can improve students German writing skillsKeyword: Project Based Learning model,  Writing Skills, German

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of the research is to determine the planning, process and results of improving German Descriptive Writing Skills for SMA Negeri 11 Makassar Students using image media. This research is classroom action research consisting of two cycles or six meetings. The subjects of this research were all class XI students at SMAN 11 Makassar, consisting of 36 students. Research data was obtained through writing skills tests and participant observations carried out during the learning process. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that an average score of 64.06 was obtained in cycle I and increased to 78.00 in cycle II. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to improve the German simple text writing skills of XII grade students of SMA Negeri 14 Makassar by using the Stationlernen learning method. This research is a class action research (PTK) which includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were XII IPS 2 class students totaling 29 people. In this research, there are two types of data, namely qualitative data which describes the results of implementation and observation during learning, as well as quantitative data which is the result of the test of students' German simple text writing skills in cycle I and cycle II. The results of the students' German simple essay writing test in cycle I obtained an average of 63.79 and increased in cycle II with an average value of 80.27. The results of this research indicate that the application of the Stationlernen learning method can improve students' German simple text writing skills.Keyword: Learning Methods, Simple Text , Writing Skills, Stationlernen

Abstract

Abstract. This study is a linguistic-literary research that aims to describe the educational values in the discourse in short story of Syajaratul Haya' by Ruhi Demiral. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion. The data in this study are in the form of quotations or sentences contained in short stories, while the data source is the short story Syajaratul Haya by Ruhi Demiral. The data collection techniques in this research are reading technique and note-taking technique. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine the planning, implementation, and results of reading comprehension skills in the German language students of class XI 8 at SMA Negeri 14 Makassar using QR Code media. This research  is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. The subjects of this research are 36 students and one German language teacher from class XI 8 at SMA Negeri 14 Makassar. The data of this research consists of two types of data, namely qualitative data obtained from the observations of teachers who inform that students collaborated with the teacher in preparing learning devices and during the learning process, the teacher was able to effectively use QR Code media and actively assisted students who had difficulty understanding the text. Observations from students indicated that they appeared enthusiastic in participating in the learning using QR Code media, so most students were able to understand the reading content and answer the questions provided. The quantitative data were obtained from reading comprehension ability tests of the students. The results of the research showed that the reading comprehension test scores in cycle I were 62.80 and in cycle II were 79. This research indicates that the implementation of QR Code media can improve the reading comprehension skills of students at SMA Negeri 14 Makassar.Keyword: Implementation, Reading Comprehension, QR Code, German Language

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the planning, describe the implementation, and analyze the result of applying Tabu-Games media to improve German vocabulary among Grade XII.9 students at MAN 1 Kota Makassar. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The research subject were 32 student of class XII.9 at MAN 1 Kota Makassar and one German language teacher. The data consist of qualitativ and quantitativ types. Qualitativ data were obtained through teacher and student observations, while quantitative data gathered through German vocabulary test in Cycle I and Cycle II. The result of the vocabulary tests showed an average score of 71,46% in Cycle I, which increaseed to 86,46% in Cycle II. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the planning, process and process of language vocabulary German Students of class XI MIPA 6 MAN 1 Kota Makassar using Kahoot. This research is a classroom action study consistinng of two cycles. The subject of of this study is the class of XI MIPA 6 MAN 1 Kota Makassar which summarizes 38 students and a German teacher. This research data consists of two types of data. Qualitative data is obtained through the teacher's observation results that informed that the teacher can already use Kahoot well during the learning and the results of student observations that can inform students can choose vocabulary properly and well and make simple sentences in the use of German language. Quantitative data is obtained through a vocabulary test. The results showed that the German vocabulary test of the students in the cycle I 88.21 and cycle II 88.63. Abstract

Abstract. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method through textual analysis of the poem Die Heimkehr. The analysis is conducted by examining elements of the poem’s physical structure (diction, imagery, figurative language, typography, and rhyme) as well as its inner structure (theme, emotion, atmosphere, tone, and message), which are then related to the social and historical context of nineteenth-century Germany. The data are derived from the text of Die Heimkehr and supporting literature on the socio-political conditions of Germany during Heine’s era. The results of the study indicate that Die Heimkehr contains social criticism encompassing eight main aspects: politics, economy, education, morality, religion, culture, family, and gender. Heine conveys this criticism through irony, satire, symbolism, and poetic imagery that conceal social messages behind linguistic beauty. The poem’s physical structure is employed to construct subtle irony that remains safe from censorship, while its inner structure reveals the collective anxiety of German society under political repression, poverty, social inequality, and moral declineKeyword: The Heimkehr, Social Criticism, Sociology of Literature, Poetry

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines violations of linguistic politeness in the film Im Westen Nichts Neues (2022) by Erich Maria Remarque using Brown and Levinson’s politeness theory. The study aims to describe forms of positive and negative face violations and to identify factors contributing to these violations. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data consisting of characters’ utterances containing face-threatening acts. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal 17 utterances containing politeness violations, consisting of 7 positive face violations and 10 negative face violations. Positive face violations appear in the forms of insults, silencing, rejection of emotions, and disregard for feelings, while negative face violations manifest as direct commands, prohibitions, and threats. The causes of these violations include external factors such as war conditions, rigid military hierarchy, and demands for rapid action, as well as internal factors related to characters’ emotional states, including fear, fatigue, anger, and despair. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to obtain data on the types of student errors in forming German imperative sentences (Imperativsatz) and strategies for overcoming errors that occur in the formation of German imperative sentences (Imperativsatz). This research is a qualitative study with an interpretive analytical approach. The data in this study are imperative sentences (Imperativsatz) written by students in the forms of du-Form, ihr-Form, and Sie-Form. The data sources in this research are 34 students from class XII.9 of SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. Written tests were used to obtain the data. The data were analyzed using the error analysis method proposed by Ellis in Tarigan. The results of the data analysis show that the most frequent errors made by students were in imperative sentences (Imperativsatz) in the du-Form with 154 errors or a percentage of 37.47%, in the Sie-Form with 138 errors or a percentage of 33.57%, and in the ihr-Form with 119 errors or a percentage of 28.96%. Furthermore, the overall average score of errors in forming German imperative sentences (Imperativsatz) made by students of class XII.9 at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar falls into the high category at 48.35%.Keyword: Error Analysis, Sentence Formation, Imperative Sentences, German Language
