Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method, on the learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X. This study used two classes, namely experimental class and control class. The research sample consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class namely XI-3 with the number n = 30 and the control class namely XI-2 with the number n = 30 which used conventional methods. Data collection was carried out through the form of a total of 30 learning outcome tests. Data analysis used t-test statistical test to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. Thus, this study proved effective in improving the learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X Labuhanbatu Utara. The average pretest score of the Experiment class was 65.1 and on the posttest it increased to 86.1, showing an increase of 21 points. Meanwhile, the control class using only conventional methods only experienced an increase from 64.2 to 72.1, an increase of 7.9. The results of the t-count hypothesis 14.00> t-table 2.00 with a significant level (0.05 = 5%) it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted in other words that there is a significant effect with the learning model with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan deiksis dalam pidato Presiden Prabowo Subianto pada acara pelantikan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden 2024-2029. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis dokumen. Data dikumpulkan dari transkrip pidato resmi dan dianalisis berdasarkan kategori deiksis yang dikemukakan oleh Levinson, yaitu deiksis personal, deiksis temporal, deiksis lokasional, deiksis sosial, dan deiksis wacana. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Deiksis yang muncul dalam pidato Presiden Prabowo Subianto adalah deiksis personal, deiksis temporal, deiksis lokasional, deiksis sosial, dan deiksis wacana. (2) Penggunaan jenis deiksis yang dominan dalam pidato ini didominasi oleh deiksis persona “kita”. Deiksis personal seperti “kita” and “saya” digunakan untuk membangun rasa kebersamaan dan solidaritas antara presiden dengan rakyat Indonesia. (3) Fungsi deiksis dalam pidato ini memiliki fungsi penting untuk membangun hubungan sosial yang kuat antara presiden dengan rakyat melalui penggunaan deiksis personal dan sosial, menandai momen pelantikan yang terjadi pada hari itu dan menciptakan kesan pentingnya acara tersebut melalui deiksis temporal, menyampaikan tujuan politik dan sosial presiden, serta harapan terhadap masa depan Indonesia melalui deiksis lokasional dan wacana.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Think Talk Write model on biology learning outcomes on the material of the human reproductive system in class XI SMA N 1 Kualuh Selatan. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method with the dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes, the independent variable is the Think Talk Write model. The sample selection was carried out by random sampling. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely, class XI MIPA 1 as the control class, and class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class. To determine student learning outcomes, the instrument used is a test in the form of multiplechoice questions consisting of 20 question items. Data analysis using the dependent sample t-test test and obtained a sig value (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05, the resulting t value in the experimental class is 36.615, then tcount> table (36.615>1.699). The t value in the control class is 32.338, then tcount> ttable (32.338>1.699). So it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, in other words that there is a significant effect with the Think Talk Write learning model on the learning outcomes of class XI students of SMA N 1 Kualuh Selatan.

Abstract

Masyarakat multikultural di Kota Gunungsitoli terdiri dari enam etnis utama Nias, Aceh, Minang, Batak, Jawa, dan Tionghoa serta empat agama: Kristen Protestan, Katolik, Islam, dan Buddha. Keragaman ini telah lama hidup rukun dan damai. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran pemerintah dalam mengelola keragaman tersebut serta tantangan yang dihadapi. Salah satu isu penting yang belum terselesaikan adalah belum diakuinya budaya Nias Pesisir hasil akulturasi budaya Nias, Minang, dan Aceh sebagai bagian dari budaya resmi Nias oleh Lembaga Budaya Nias (LBN). Padahal, budaya ini merupakan identitas penting masyarakat Muslim Nias yang mendiami wilayah pesisir. Ketidakpengakuan ini menimbulkan kesan marginalisasi dan kurangnya perhatian pemerintah daerah. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan ada dorongan bagi pemerintah Kota Gunungsitoli untuk mengakui budaya Nias Pesisir sebagai warisan budaya yang sah. Pengakuan tersebut penting untuk memperkuat persatuan dan memperkaya identitas kebudayaan masyarakat multikultural di Kota Gunungsitoli.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the important factors that influence students' academic success, especially in Biology learning which requires deep understanding and high learning interest. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the role of teachers in motivating Biology learning in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Aek Natas. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach, and data were collected through a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale distributed to 33 students. The results showed that most students had a positive perception of the role of teachers in motivating learning, both through a conducive classroom atmosphere, innovative learning methods, and providing constructive feedback. In conclusion, teachers have a significant role in generating students' learning motivation. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of improving teacher competence in motivational aspects to create a fun and effective learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan. This study used 2 classes, namely experimental and control classes, the experimental class, namely class X-4, was taught using the STAD type cooperative learning method and the control class, namely class X-1, was taught by the lecture method, which only asked students to pay attention to the material provided by the teacher. Data collection was carried out through a test form, the number of test forms in the form of 30 questions. Data analysis used the t-test statistical test to determine the difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught with the STAD type cooperative learning model. The experimental class students showed better understanding, the STAD type cooperative learning model was proven effective in student learning outcomes. The average pre-test score of the experimental class was 82.42 and increased to 92.37 post test scores, showing an increase of. While the pre-test value of the control class that did not use the STAD type cooperative learning model only increased from 87.17 to 88.45, showing an increase of. The results of the t-count hypothesis 4.13> t-table 2.000 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Rejection of H0 indicates that there is a significant difference between the post-test scores of experimental and control class students.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has a significant impact on various aspects of life, including among Muslims. This article discusses the ethics of AI usage from an Islamic perspective, emphasizing relevant Sharia principles. Through a literature review approach, this article examines how AI can be optimally utilized in accordance with the objectives of Sharia (maqasid sharia), namely the preservation of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property. It was found that Islam supports technological innovation as long as it does not contradict moral values, such as justice, responsibility, transparency, and respect for individual rights. AI technology is viewed as a tool that can bring benefits, but it must still be used ethically and responsibly to avoid potential harm (mafsadah). Islamic ethical guidelines such as maslahah, amanah, ‘adl, and tawazun serve as important frameworks in determining the appropriateness and acceptability of using AI in daily life. Thus, the utilization of AI in accordance with Islamic values can contribute positively to the welfare of the community and the advancement of civilization.

Abstract

Radicalism in the world of education has become a serious issue that has the potential to disrupt social stability and community diversity. This article discusses the implementation of religious moderation values in the education curriculum, particularly at the elementary school and madrasa levels, as a preventive measure against the early spread of radical ideologies. This research uses the literature study method by analyzing various sources of literature related to Islamic religious education, radicalism, and religious moderation. The research results show that educational institutions play a strategic role in instilling values of moderation such as tolerance, justice, balance, and compassion in students. Islamic religious education should not only teach doctrine but also emphasize the implementation of religious values in real life. The development of a curriculum that incorporates moderation values is important for shaping students' characters to be inclusive and open to differences. The role of the government and schools is crucial in developing a curriculum oriented towards strengthening the culture of religious moderation as a concrete effort to prevent the spread of extremism in the educational environment from an early age.

Abstract

Ibn Sina's educational thought offers an integrative paradigm between religious knowledge and rational knowledge as a solution to the dichotomy of knowledge that still occurs in contemporary Islamic education. This article examines Ibn Sina's educational concept and its implications for contemporary Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Using the library study method, this research examines Ibn Sina's philosophical thoughts on the objectives of education, curriculum, the role of educators, teaching methods, and the stages of child development. Ibn Sina emphasized the importance of education tailored to the potential, interests, and gradual development of students, as well as the balanced formation of intellect, character, and skills. The curriculum structured based on an integrative and revelation-based approach becomes an important foundation in realizing holistic Islamic education. In the context of contemporary PAI learning, Ibn Sina's thoughts are relevant for building contextual, humanistic, and applicative learning, not only emphasizing cognitive aspects but also affective and psychomotor ones. The reconstruction of Ibn Sina's thought becomes a significant conceptual offer in the development of Islamic education that is adaptive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This article examines the strategic role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in strengthening Indonesia's national resilience amidst the complex challenges of globalization. Globalization brings widespread impacts, such as cultural value degradation, identity crises, and the potential for social disintegration. PAI holds an important position as a bastion of spiritual and moral values that shape the character of students to be faithful, tolerant, patriotic, and resilient in facing change. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature study. The study results show that PAI not only functions as religious education but also as a strategic instrument in national character building, strengthening integrity, and internalizing national values. In facing structural, cultural, and human resource challenges, curriculum revitalization, integration of Islamic values into all disciplines, and optimization of educational technology utilization are necessary. The contribution of PAI is also evident in the formation of militant, spiritual, and nationalist character, as well as in maintaining an adaptive education system based on Islamic values. Thus, PAI plays a vital role in building the foundation of a resilient, inclusive, and competitive society in the global era.
