Abstract

The challenge of integrated literacy is getting more and more complex every year along with the emergence of various technological products. Moreover, there is a technical dimension that will quickly change according to the times. Teachers and other educators have a central role because in the learning process they should provide and allow students to choose various forms of digital media to complete tasks given digital literacy in the curriculum such as ICT introduction material, use of tools to support learning, integrated high literacy computer programming is very useful in the world of education to support implementing a digital-based curriculum that emphasizes students being able to utilize information from various sources of information on the internet for themselves. Students who have the ability to search for information will relieve themselves to learn independently and interact with various information wherever they are.

Abstract

Sunggu Manai Village is a village located in Pattallasang District, Gowa Regency with an area of 684 ha which has 3 hamlets namely Sailong, Lamuru and Japing Hamlets. The population of Sunggu Manai Village reaches 2,860 people. One of the main and important investments for business actors is human resources which is the key to the success and progress of a business in order to survive and develop properly. Human resources (HR) is a very important factor that cannot even be separated from an organization, both institutions and companies. HR is also the key that determines the development of the company. In order to increase creative and innovative human resources, one of the constructive trainings is conducted, namely screen printing training. In participating in the training, the HR participating in this training must have the motivation to take part in this activity because of course there are business opportunities from this training. However, deficiencies still have to be corrected after attending the initial stage of training, namely with subsequent training and reading various literature in order to perfect optimal work results. Before starting the training, HR who take part in the training are required to make observations first, so that the material presented by the teacher is only seen as increasing knowledge from screen printing training

Abstract

This community service activity discusses the introduction of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) as an alternative media for practicing pronunciation, especially in learning English. MALL is a learning approach that utilizes mobile technology, such as smartphones, as a tool in the language learning process. The purpose of implementing this community service activity is to introduce how the use of MALL which assist to practice English pronunciation. This activity was carried out in the form of a small workshop to introduce several MALL applications that can be used to practice pronunciation. The participants in this activity were the students of English Education Study Program. The results of this activity indicate that the participants enthusiastically participated in the activity. Participants also demonstrated good skills when practicing the MALL application during the activity. Participants also had positive experiences in using MALL as a language learning tool. The introduction of MALL as a learning method can provide an effective media in improving participants' pronunciation skills. With the advancement of mobile technology that continues to grow, MALL has great potential to become an integral part of language teaching, especially English, in the future.

Abstract

The Sanrego Cooperative is a Sanrego coffee producer located in Bulukumba district, South Sulawesi. There are 2 types of products produced by the Sanrego cooperative, namely Sanrego coffee and Djago coffee. This Sanrego coffee product has a distinctive taste and is made from Sanrego wood mixed with ginger. The two types of basic ingredients are herbal ingredients that have been trusted for a long time as traditional medicines without side effects. While Sanrego wood itself has been studied by several finochemical experts at several universities in Eastern Indonesia, it contains alkolids, sitosterol, glycosides which function to inhibit the development of bacteria in the human body. In increasing its sales level, the Sanrego cooperative uses several methods such as direct consumer sales through outlets or stalls in a number of places, online sales and sales through Sanrego cafes which were established to accommodate coffee connoisseurs. The Sanrego Cooperative, which is traditionally prepared by professional hands, is targeted to become the number one coffee in Bulukumba, including South Sulawesi. This workshop and discussion resulted in several recommendations that could be made by the Sanrego Cooperative in improving its business performance in the future.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini sebagai wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan mengembangkan keterampilan usaha olahan jagung berupa pembuatan popcorn caramel sampai dengan pembaharuan kemasannya. Metode dalam kegiatan ini yaitu melibatkan peserta secara aktif dan langsung (pendekatan praktis) dengan memberikan keterampilan berupa proses pembuatan popcorn caramel, formula popcorn, teknik pembuatan karamel, pengolahan popcorn dengan baik termasuk meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang pengemasan yang trend saat ini. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu membantu masyarakat Kelurahan Togo-Togo, kabupaten jeneponto dengan keterampilan usaha produk popcorn caramel dan pengemasannya sehingga produk yang dibuat memiliki nilai jual yang lebih tinggi apabila diikuti dengan pengemasan yang menarik dan trend saat ini serta mampu memberikan opsi pilihan usaha bagi masyarakat dengan menjual popcorn caramel guna membangun perekonomian lokal di Kelurahan Togo-Togo, Kecamatan Batang, Kabupaten Jeneponto.

Abstract

Kedungmundu Village is a fostered area of the Faculty of Nursing and Health, Muhammadiyah University Semarang. Even though there is no maternal death, counseling about maternal emergencies must still be carried out as a coaching effort. The objective of this maternal emergency outreach activity is to increase participants' knowledge by 0.5 points. The method of this activity is lecture and question and answer. Before the lecture, a pretest was held and afterward, a posttest was carried out. Participants in this activity are high-risk pregnant women in the Kedungmundu Village. The results of data collection were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, percentage and dependent t test. The results of this activity show an increase in knowledge of 0.47 points. Even if the number of knowledge increases has reached the target when it is rounded up, the increase is not significant based on the results of the dependent t test (p = 0.356). Therefore, it is advisable to carry out community service activities in other areas where maternal mortality occurs.

Abstract

TPU Menteng Pulo, Jakarta mayoritas penduduknya hidup dalam kemiskinan. Sekitar 80% warga Kampung Penampungan Gasong bekerja sebagai pemulung, dan 20% lainnya berprofesi sebagai pekerja serabutan. Akses pendidikan yang layak sulit diperoleh, menyebabkan banyak anak-anak putus sekolah untuk membantu orangtua bekerja. Pandemi Covid-19 semakin memperburuk situasi ini, dengan berpotensi menyebabkan krisis kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Doktor PAK dan Mahasiswa program profesi kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta melalui Pengobatan Gratis Pada Masyarakat di TPU Menteng Pulo dilakukan dengan metode: Penyuluhan iman dan Kesehatan kepada keluarga agar tetap sehat di masa pandemi COVID-19, Melakukan anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik (tekanan darah), dan diagnosis. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan baha Masyarakat mendapatkan edukasi terkait  kondisi kesehatan penderita, perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta pola makan yang baik. Masyarakat setempat dihimbau agar dilakukan pembersihan lingkungan tempat tinggal dan rutin mengontrol kesehatan ke unit Kesehatan terdekat  agar dapat mencegah terjadinya perburukan kondisi Kesehatan yang dikeluhkan oleh Masyarakat.

Abstract

The presence of technology in the community, especially for farmers, can increase access to information, such as information about better and up-to-date agricultural techniques and market information will greatly help farmers in improving the quality and quantity of production that will encourage village economic growth and farmer welfare. The method used in the implementation of PKM activities uses an interactive discussion method with the local farming community accompanied by practice, a kind of tutorial in utilizing various mobile phone features owned by the community. The result of this study is that people know about how to upload images of agricultural production and market them through their social media, including accessing several marketplace links that allow people to market their agricultural products.

Abstract

Increasing human resources or HR is achieved by development methods related to knowledge, skills and abilities through education and training, in this case training. Writing and self-publishing training for the young generation aims to improve (1) literacy skills, (2) ability to process information, (3) ability to disseminate and publish information through self-publishing. This activity was carried out on September 10-11, 2023 and was attended by 20 young people from HMI Wajo Maju Branch, Wajo Regency.

Abstract

Balangtanaya Village is one of the villages in North Polongbangkeng District, Takalar Regency, where the village has Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has limitations in running its business in terms of introducing and selling its products in the market, the scope of sales areas is limited, and faces competition from local and other regions. This is a challenge for the development of micro, small and medium scale enterprises. This community service activity is held based on service-learning in the form of business assistance for MSME products. The stages of mentoring themselves start from the debriefing stage to monitoring. The purpose of this activity is to find out the obstacles and challenges faced by MSMEs and compile digital marketing that can support their business. Digital marketing is applied specifically in making social media suitable for MSMEs. This digital marketing is expected to develop market reach. The results of this Community Service activity show that digital marketing utilization literacy can change the way MSMEs connect with their consumers. The use of social media helps introduce, promote and market MSME products more broadly. The characteristics and needs of MSME development also cause differences in the need to apply digital marketing utilization methods through social media.
