Abstract

This research aims to analyze the real role of the National Unity and Political Agency in Handling Potential Conflicts in West Java Province. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and literature study, as well as data analysis using interactive models by Miles Huberman, Saldana (2014) and Role Theory according to Bruce J. Cohen (1992). The results of this research show that Bakesbangpol has issued West Java Governor Decree Number: 460.05/Kep.134-Bakesbangpol/2019 concerning the Integrated Team for Handling Regional Social Conflict in West Java Province as a follow-up to efforts to handle conflict. Conflict management carried out by Bakesbangpol in handling potential conflicts is through mediation and conciliation. In the context of successful conflict handling, West Java Bakesbangpol has applied the penta helix principle with a coordination, collaboration and synergy approach. Linked to role theory by Bruce J. Cohen (1992), Bakesbangpol has played a real role (Anacted Role) in resolving the polemic problem of establishing the construction of the Sang Hyang Hurip Santo Antonius Catholic Church in Bandung City. West Java Bakesbangpol also has a situation and condition monitoring application called "SIMBAKESBANGPOL" and a Whatsapp Group between Regency/City Bakesbangpol throughout West Java to find out up to date about conflict cases that occur in the West Java region as a whole.

Abstract

Analysis of the quality of educational services is based on the level of satisfaction of education service users with the services provided by educational institutions, namely schools. This research aims to understand the public's perception, particularly students and their parents, of the quality of basic education services. Nowadays, competition in the education sector is very evident in society, including at the basic education level. This is reflected in the high enthusiasm of parents to enroll their children in schools with the best quality. Consequently, many new schools, especially private ones, have emerged, including integrated elementary schools and madrasah ibtidaiyah. The demand for high-quality education is very significant in today's life. Schools strive to provide the best services to remain competitive and be the choice of the community. The quality of educational services has a significant impact on parents' satisfaction. There are five dimensions of parents' satisfaction with the quality of educational services: the tangible dimension, the reliability dimension, the responsiveness dimension, the assurance dimension, and the empathy/caring dimension. Customers will feel dissatisfied if the outcomes do not meet their expectations. Customer dissatisfaction with the services provided by a school is believed to be one of the factors that cause a decline in the number of students, which is certainly detrimental to the school. Conversely, if customers are satisfied with the services provided by the school, they will continue to use the educational services and give positive feedback to others about the educational institution.

Abstract

Mathematical approximation plays an important role in the analysis of travel time which is influenced by factors such as speed, distance, and acceleration. This study uses the Maclaurin series to approximate the value of travel time based on the distance traveled (x) and the number of terms in the series (n). The calculation was done manually and implemented using MATLAB for the case of distance x = 2 with the first five terms n = 5. The results of the manual calculation showed an estimated travel time of 0.9094 seconds, while the calculation using MATLAB resulted in 0.9093 seconds. The small difference between the two methods shows the accuracy of the Maclaurin series in travel time approximation. By increasing the number of terms in the sequence, the calculation results will be closer to a more precise value. This study emphasizes the benefits of the Maclaurin sequence method in simplifying mathematical analysis and improving calculation efficiency in physical and computational applications.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the role of driving teachers, the values of driving teachers, and the role and values of driving teachers as well as the challenges in implementing the role and values of driving teachers in improving the quality of education at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimuring, Maros Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection procedures in this research were interviews, observation, documentation and using source triangulation. There are five motivating teacher roles implemented at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimurung. The role in question is being a learning leader, being a coach for other teachers, encouraging collaboration, realizing student leadership (student agency), mobilizing a community of practitioners... There are also five driving teacher values implemented at SMPN 23 Simbang and SMPN 22 Bantimurung, Maros Regency. These values are Student-Supporting, Independent, Reflective, Collaborative, and Innovative. There are several challenges faced in implementing the role and value of driving teachers, including: Limited resources, lack of understanding from other people, cultural changes and resistance to change, as well as student diversity and individual needs, and limited time and busy schedules. From the challenges faced, several alternative solutions that can be implemented are by holding training and professional development, as well as allocating adequate resources, establishing open and collaborative communication between all stakeholders, and optimizing existing (physical and non-physical) assets. This is also very relevant to the 10 concepts of educational quality management initiated by Edward Sallis.
