Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant transformation in the world of education, requiring teachers to improve their abilities in innovative learning methods. This research focuses on training in using the Canva and Flipbook applications as tools in developing digital learning media. Initial observations show that many teachers still use conventional media due to limited time and knowledge in design. Through a workshop held on October 5 2024, 54 participants from various educational institutions were trained to develop digital educational content. The results of the training show an increase in teacher competence in using Canva's advanced features and techniques for creating digital interactive books using Flipbook. Participants successfully integrated multimedia elements into learning, creating a more interesting and interactive learning experience. This workshop also builds professional networks between students and teachers, and increases teacher motivation to continue developing their digital competencies. In conclusion, this activity succeeded in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process through more effective use of digital technology.

Abstract

The establishment of the vertical boundary of national airspace is crucial in maintaining Indonesia's air sovereignty. The state has full sovereignty over the airspace above its land and waters; however, to date, there are no clear national or international regulations that define this vertical boundary. This uncertainty creates issues in law enforcement operations and airspace security, especially due to the rapid advancement of aviation and space technologies. This study analyzes the importance of establishing the vertical boundary of airspace to support air security operations by the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU). The research employs a qualitative approach through literature reviews and interviews with relevant experts. The findings indicate that setting the vertical boundary is urgent in ensuring air security and sovereignty, as well as in preventing future legal conflicts. Active diplomacy in international forums is necessary to foster global agreements on the vertical boundary of airspace.

Abstract

Indonesia is a legal state based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUDNRI 1945). The concept of a legal state proposed by Wiryono Projodikoro defines it as a state where rulers or the government, as the state organizers, are bound by the applicable legal regulations in carrying out state duties. The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) is an integral part of the legal community, playing a crucial role in supporting the formation of legal culture within its ranks. Legal awareness within the TNI is upheld when military personnel, as supporters of legal culture, actively contribute by adhering to all applicable regulations and making the law a guide in their behavior and actions. Despite having rules in place governing prohibited behaviors for military personnel, the reality indicates that there are still individuals within the TNI involved in criminal activities. When a military member engages in sexual harassment, it creates dissonance in the execution of military duties and can undermine public trust in the military institution, which should be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the community. Unfortunately, reality does not always align with expectations, as evident in cases involving TNI members, who are a vital force in maintaining the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. This phenomenon not only highlights individual problems but also significantly impacts public trust in the structure of the national defense institution. Therefore, when a TNI member or soldier is involved in sexual harassment, the most severe punishment that can be imposed is dismissal, or in other words, removal from their position. This sanction is not only administrative but also includes criminal consequences regulated in the Criminal Code. Protection of the integrity of the TNI, therefore, involves not only internal disciplinary aspects but also engages in a legal process that can provide criminal sanctions commensurate with the crime of sexual harassment committed by military personnel. Military members, being part of a unit, form an integrated family. It seems as though within a military unit, an "autonomous power" is created specifically within that unit. This military unit has a commander and a deputy commander, supported by section officers and unit commanders. When issues arise within the military unit, efforts for resolution are made, as much as possible, by the appointed unit commander.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the influence of work-related stress on staff performance at the Aloft Bali Seminyak Hotel. The research employs a quantitative methodology, especially utilizing a survey approach. The study population comprised randomly selected workers from the Aloft Bali Seminyak Hotel. We collected data using a questionnaire that included questions on work-related stress levels and employee performance evaluations. Regression techniques were utilized to evaluate the data and determine the link between job stress characteristics (independent factors) and employee performance (dependent variables). The study's results indicated a significant relationship between occupational stress levels and employee performance. The findings indicate that increased work-related stress adversely impacts staff performance at the Aloft Bali Seminyak Hotel. This study significantly enhances our comprehension of the factors influencing employee performance in the hospitality industry, specifically inside luxury hotels such as the Aloft Bali Seminyak Hotel. This study's practical implications necessitate that hotel management focus work stress management to improve employee performance and create a robust, efficient work environment. This might substantially improve institutional performance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe the motivation of class VII students in implementing differentiated social studies learning at SMPN 13 Bontoa, Maros Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data source used is the primary data source. The subjects of this research were 3 class VII students at SMPN 13 Bontoa, Maros Regency with the criteria for high, medium and low learning motivation in differentiated social studies learning. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research show that students with high learning motivation criteria have high differentiated social studies learning motivation, this is seen based on the five motivation indicators, of which four meet the learning motivation variable. Then, based on the five indicators studied, students with medium and low learning motivation criteria only met one learning motivation variable. However, students with medium learning motivation criteria have higher differentiated social studies learning motivation than students with low criteria. This can be seen based on the items that medium criteria students do not always fulfill, namely 5 items, while low criteria students do not always fulfill 8 items out of a total of 13 items studied.

Abstract

The diversity of Indonesia's fauna and flora is quite enormous. Its strategic geographical location makes Indonesia a suitable place for breeding, and creates a good ecosystem for the wildlife species that live in it. However, the diversity and uniqueness of nature and animals are not well supported and protected, especially by irresponsible humans and weak regulations. Environmental conservation and sustainable management of natural resources can be used as the purpose of the juridical foundation to strengthen and clarify the legislation itself, so that there is no legal vacuum or “elastic law” that has no clear benchmark. Therefore, in this research, the community and regulators need to see the internal and external challenges in facing the problems faced by Mother Nature and the ecosystems and animals in it. In this article, the method used is a qualitative descriptive approach and a literature study that becomes the author's reference.

Abstract

Desertion is a military crime involving members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) leaving their duties or military obligations without proper authorization from their superiors. Desertion has serious implications for military discipline, cohesion, and operational efficiency, and it can threaten national defense. The legal enforcement of desertion offenses is regulated under the Military Penal Code (KUHPM), particularly Articles 87 and 88. The process of handling desertion cases involves investigation by the Military Police (POM), investigation by military investigators, and trial by military courts that issue rulings according to the applicable laws. The penalties imposed vary, ranging from imprisonment, demotion, dishonorable discharge, and even the death penalty during wartime. This study aims to explore in-depth the implementation of military law on individuals who commit desertion and to analyze the factors causing desertion. These factors include personal issues, psychological pressure, and unfavorable working environments. The study employs a normative juridical method, with an approach focused on relevant regulations and military court case studies concerning desertion offenses. The findings show that the application of military law to desertion is a crucial effort in maintaining the stability, discipline, and integrity of the TNI. However, there are several challenges in enforcing the law, such as internal and external factors affecting military personnel. In the relationship between the Military Penal Code (KUHPM) and the Criminal Code (KUHP), both are complementary, where general crimes are regulated by the Criminal Code (KUHP), while offenses related to military duties are governed by the Military Penal Code (KUHPM). This study recommends strengthening law enforcement and discipline training to minimize desertion within the military.
