Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Describe the relationship between student learning activities and understanding of science concepts in the material of changes in the shape of objects. The research used is correlation or relationship research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all 5th grade students at SDN 14 Kuala Selakau with a total of 26 students. The sampling technique used was the saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling technique is a sample determination technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Data were analyzed univariately with a significance level of 5% (0.05). For hypothesis testing, a prerequisite test was used, namely the normality test using the Chi square formula. The results of the research show that: 1) There is a relationship between learning activities and students' understanding of science concepts in the material on changes in the shape of point objects with the criteria for the strength of the relationship being in the very strong category with a correlation coefficient of 0.98. Understanding students' concepts provides a coefficient of 97.81% for student learning activities and the remaining 2.19% is influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be concluded that if the student's learning activities are good, the higher the student's understanding of science concepts, or conversely, the lower the student's learning activities, the lower the student's understanding of science concepts.

Abstract

Traditional Betawi culture, including ondel-ondel, lenong, and tanjidor, is declining due to modernization, with the younger generation forgetting their cultural heritage. The research suggests three main points: (1) Betawi traditions are diminishing in the modern era; for instance, ondel-ondel is now often used for begging. Government intervention is necessary to address this issue. Lenong and Tanjidor also face challenges and need improvement to remain relevant in drama and music. (2) The Betawi community abandons its traditions in the modern era due to the loss of space for Betawi residents in Jakarta. The local government should provide effective solutions to prevent neglect of these distinctive traditions. (3) Efforts by the Betawi community and cultural figures to preserve traditions involve operating cultural institutions in accordance with Law Number 5 of 2017 concerning the Advancement of Culture.

Abstract

Physics is a branch of natural science. Since ancient times, humans have been interested in the movement of objects around them and motion is an area studied in mechanics. This research aims to understand the principles of mechanics in Lagrange and Newtonian mechanics for solving motion problems and their applications. The method used is the literature review method. Literature is a comprehensive overview of previous research on a particular topic. Literature review is a systematic process for identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing previously published scientific works on a particular topic. There are 20 sources used, consisting of books and scientific journals. The research results show that motion is an object that experiences movement from one place to another. Problems of motion of objects can be solved using the laws and principles of Newtonian and Lagrange mechanics. Lagrange mechanics is used to solve complex problems that cannot be solved with Newtonian mechanics. Lagrange mechanics focuses on the forces that cause objects to move, while Newtonian mechanics focuses on the energy that causes objects to move.
