Abstract

This study aims to describe the Implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Learning Learning Model in Improving Students' Critical Thinking in Civics Learning at SMP N 1 Sitiung. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the research location at SMP N 1 Sitiung. The informants in this study totaled 7 people including 6 students, 1 educator who taught Civics subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation techniques, then for data analysis techniques carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the process of implementing the cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in increasing students' critical thinking in learning PPKn at SMP N 1 Sitiung has been carried out well. This is inseparable from the efforts that have been made by educators. The efforts made by educators in increasing students' critical thinking are by changing the learning model used in the learning process. The cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type is an example of a learning model that can improve students' critical thinking. Another effort made by educators to increase students' critical thinking is by creating a fun learning process by providing motivation to students to be more active in learning. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the process of implementing the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type in increasing students' critical thinking in Civics learning at SMP N 1 Sitiung has been carried out well. The efforts that have been made by educators in increasing students' critical thinking are: (a) creating fun learning (b) conducting intensive guidance to groups experiencing difficulties (c) giving rewards to groups that can present the results of discussions well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning styles used by high achieving students in sports and to describe the characteristic tendencies of the learning styles of high achieving students in sports. The subjects of this study were students who had high achievements in karate. The research was conducted in class V SDN Ciparay, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City. This study used qualitative research methods. The research data was obtained through data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were the home teacher of class V, and one student of class V. Based on the results of the research and discussion of an outstanding student in sports named M, it can be concluded that his learning style shows a tendency for kinesthetic learning styles. Learning through kinesthetic with the characteristics of happy learning to do light physical activities such as walking around when memorizing reading texts, pointing fingers at readings while reading, not being able to sit still for a long time, using body signals when talking or explaining something, writing hands are not neat, explaining something while practicing.

Abstract

In the development of children, the role of a father is very important. In addition to being the head of the family, the father figure is a protector for the child. Fathers are expected to be protectors and givers of security. The absence of a father figure will have an impact on the child's personality and psychological condition. It can also affect other aspects of the child, especially problems controlling emotions. This condition is then referred to as fatherless. Indonesia currently ranks 3rd as a fatherless country. Using a qualitative approach, this study aims to describe how fatherless impacts children's emotions. The research was conducted at Bagja Mandiri Housing, Tasikmalaya City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The key informants in this study were 3 children who experienced fatherlessness. The criteria used are divorced, divorced and dead, and the physical absence of the father. The results of the study revealed that the emotions that arise due to fatherlessness are self-harm, lingering sadness, and the compulsion to become independent individuals.

Abstract

Pancasila is a formulation and guideline for the life of the nation and state for all Indonesian people. As an Indonesian citizen, implementing the values of Pancasila is mandatory because Pancasila is the basis of the state. The benefits are so that the nation's next generation can apply the values of Pancasila in their daily lives. The purpose of this study is to find out how to apply the values of Pancasila in everyday life. This research uses the literature review method. The results of this study can be concluded that the application of Pancasila values to students is mandatory, because students can take future steps in the lives of society, nation, and state to contribute to the progress of their nation and state.

Abstract

Digital technology plays a role in human life. It is important to understand how young people respond to and engage in political discussions on social media. Citizenship education is one of the efforts to deal with the implications of the digital era in order to form a young generation who has ethics and a responsible attitude in political participation. Therefore, this research will discuss in more depth the implications of the digital era for social and political involvement in civic education. This study uses a qualitative approach, while to obtain data, research uses literacy studies to obtain information regarding the implications of the digital era on social and political engagement. This research obtains the results of the implications of the digital era on social and political involvement in citizenship education that must be understood by the community, especially for individuals and groups who are in the world of politics. The digital age provides both opportunities and challenges for participatory social and political engagement. Therefore, civics education must be adapted and use approaches that are relevant to the digital era.

Abstract

Dormitory-based intensive religious education is an alternative educational approach applied in religious schools or Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to describe intensive dormitory-based religious education in Jakarta with a case study at the Al Hamid Cilangkap Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and document study. The results of the research show that intensive religious education at the Al Hamid Islamic Boarding School introduces an integrated education system between Islamic boarding schools and formal schools, requiring students to live in dormitories. There are two types of learning, namely in formal schools and additional learning in dormitories which focuses on deepening religious material. Apart from that, positive habits and self-development of students are also implemented. This intensive religious education has succeeded in forming the character of the students, motivating them to learn, and producing many achievements both academic and non-academic. In conclusion, dormitory-based intensive religious education is effective in building character, increasing learning motivation, and developing the potential of students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation to learn which is still low. The research results show that learning motivation is very important and can influence critical and creative thinking. This research aims to find out whether learning Pancasila education has an effect on the critical thinking skills of students at SMA Negeri 1 Tandun. This research was carried out using quantitative methods with a casual associative approach, and involved students of SMA Negeri 1 Tandun as research subjects. The data collection instrument used was conventional, and the IBM SPSS Version 22 application was used for data processing. Based on the results of the analysis, a simple linear regression equation was obtained, namely Ŷ= 14,245 + 0.629 Meanwhile, the results of the t test obtained t_count of 14.245 t_table of 2.00, which shows that so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So this research hypothesis is accepted that there is an influence of Civics Learning on Critical Thinking Ability.

Abstract

Learning videos are already widely present around us, because they have helped students learn and teach teachers today. Learning video content must be in accordance with the needs of the teaching and learning process. This research was motivated by researchers' concerns about the appropriateness of learning video content in accordance with basic competencies, learning objectives and integrated learning themes, one of which is the presentation of Indonesian language material in elementary schools. The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility of aspects of material composition, presentation structure and language in Indonesian language materials in elementary schools in the construction of learning videos on the Rumah Belajar Portal platform. In this case, the researcher tested the feasibility based on 3 aspects, namely the material composition aspect, the presentation structure aspect and the language aspect of the learning video. The content of elementary school Indonesian language material learning videos needs to be researched because this is to determine the appropriateness of the content for presenting Indonesian language material in elementary schools in learning videos which have contributed to the world of Indonesian education by producing many learning videos. This research uses a content analysis method through a qualitative approach.

Abstract

This article is entitled "House of Godang, Nan Onam Tribe, Kenegerian Taluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency (2003-2014)". The purpose of this research is to find out the history of the godang house of the Nan Onam tribe in Kenegerian Taluk Kuantan, to find out the function of the godang house of the Nan Onam tribe for the people of Kenegerian Taluk Kuantan, and what efforts can be made to maintain traditional activities at the godang house of the Nan Onam tribe in Kenegerian Taluk Kuantan. This research uses a historical approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documents. This research was carried out in Keegrian Taluk Kuantan, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau. The data collection process starts from the heuristic stage as the process of finding or collecting historical sources, the second stage, namely verification, is the process of finding the truth from existing historical sources, the third stage, interpretation, namely the activity of interpreting the facts and data that have been obtained, then the final stage, namely historiography. is a way of writing, presenting, or reporting the results of historical research that has been carried out. The results of this research show that the Nan Onam tribe godang house was established in 2003 which was directly authorized by the Regent of Kuantan Singingi Regency, namely Mr. Asrul Ja'far, during the halal bi halal event. In general, the function of building this godang house is to make it easier for children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces to gather in one place to meet each other. The way to maintain the traditions of the Nan Onam tribe's godang house is to provide guidance to children and grandchildren regarding the customs, hold competitions every year, take part in every traditional activity carried out in the Nan Onam tribe's godang house, and not be influenced by foreign cultures due to technological improvements towards modern.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore mental health therapy through aspects of religious life. This research is included in the type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and document analysis. The research subjects involved the school principal, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher, Guidance Counseling (BK) teacher, and two students. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and verification. Based on research, it is known that religious life can be a mental health therapy for students at SMK N 38 Jakarta. Religious activities carried out at the school include dhuha prayers, dhuhur prayers in congregation and reading yasin. From the results of interviews with students, the author found that participating in religious activities carried out by the school provided comfort to the souls of students at SMK N 38 Jakarta.
