At-Tarbawi: Academic Journal on Islamic Education Studies by Islamic Education and Teacher Training Faculty, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia This is an academic journal on Islamic Education Studies published twice a year. It contains articles from current research on Islamic Education field, including Islamic education, Arabic education, Islamic kindergarten teaching, Islamic elementary school teaching, Arabic language and literature, Islamic history and culture. Abstract

The learning process requires teaching materials that are useful for making it easier for educators to convey information on teaching materials in the form of materials. The development of teaching materials is needed in order to support learning needs. This study describes the development of spiritual backpacker-based teaching materials as an effort to inculcate the value of religious moderation. The research process is field research using a phenomenological approach. MI Alam Alfa Kids was used as the research location to collect concrete data. sources of data in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation as the main data. The analysis was carried out by presenting data, reducing it, and concluding. The results of this study are: 1) the development of spiritual backpacker-based teaching materials is the development of teaching materials that are adapted to the learning designs at MI Alam Alfa Kids, namely spiritual backpacker-based learning as an effort to instill the value of religious moderation; 2) Spiritual backpacker teaching materials give participants firsthand experiences of being directly connected to the community environment, giving them open insight into how to be moderate. 3) Teaching materials have advantages, including an integrated learning process with the environment, fostering student inquiry, and training students to live tolerantly in community. The drawbacks of this model are that not all subjects can be developed using it; it requires special time; not all ages can apply spiritual backpacker-based teaching materials; and the implementation of teaching materials must be accompanied by more than one teacher.

Abstract

Digitalization has had the greatest impact not only on the economic, social, cultural, and technological sectors, but also on the education sector. The higher level of Islamic education can be a part of its generalization. Otherwise, this article aims to explore the challenges of the period in the Revolution 5.0 era and its implications for Islamic higher education, particularly at the UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Is a lecturer still required if students were a part of the industrial revolution while the educational system was rapidly expanding? Furthermore, how is the lecturer going to prepare for the challenge? The phenomenology approach was used in this study. Based on the observation and the interview, data is analyzed to form an interpretation. According to the findings of the research, UIN Sunan Kalijaga has prepared to face the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, but the institution has not. Moreover, the institution hasn’t yet come out of the digital era; there is still much that needs to be done. For example, the systems of e-budgeting, e-public service, and e-governance haven't been formed. The conditions were constrained by a data system that requires substantial funds. The problems' recommendations are to establish an integration system for document capture and information management, to expand the knowledge foundation based on research and development, and to expand adaptive by human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) by teachers in the implementation of Akidah Akhlak subject learning in class XI of Madrasah Aliyah. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative. Data collection in the study was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data validity was carried out using source triangulation and method triangulation techniques. The results showed that the application of TPACK in learning involves the use of technological devices, both non-digital and digital, such as laptops and LCDs, and that teachers are able to use PowerPoint, YouTube videos, and Google Classroom in creating learning materials. Teachers use technology in the classroom to manage learning practices and assess the learning process effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze TPACK-based teaching materials by using the QR Code as a source of quotations in class. This study uses a type of quantitative research. The results of the study show that utilizing the QR Code as a source of quotations greatly influences students' understanding of the courses they take, especially in religious moderation courses. It can be seen from the calculations using SPSS that all components significantly affect the success of integrating TPACK. That is, the components of TPACK have a large impact on learning. The component that has a significant influence is TCK (0.529) and the one that has less significant influence is the CK component (0.152).

Abstract

This study aims to review the opportunities and challenges of pesantren in the digital era. As an Islamic educational institution that has survived for centuries, pesantren should adapt to the development of science and technology. Some of the questions that arise include: Do pesantrens have opportunities in the digital era? What are the challenges that must be faced in the digital era, and how do pesantrens negotiate the five pillars of Islamic boarding schools in the digital era? This study is a library research by looking at articles, journals, and scientific books related to Islamic boarding schools and their developments. By using descriptive analysis, this study shows that Islamic boarding schools can survive and adapt to the development of digital life and are able to develop better pesantren values through maximizing the use of technology and digital in teaching and learning activities to reach a wider community in general and become an inspiration for educational institutions domestically and internationally.

Abstract

This study aims to explain Sufi education in Het Boek Van Bonang using a philosophy of education approach. The three major questions in this study are: the nature of the text; how Sufism appears in Sunan Bonang's text; and the value it contains. This study shows that the text discusses Sufism education, which is a form of Sunan Bonang's criticism of the developing Sufism teachings. Sunan Bonang's teaching is in accordance with Imam Ghazali's Sufism education, namely sunni Sufism (khuluqi amali); this teaching criticizes the concept of wahdatul wujud in Sufism philosophy. Sunni Sufism education leads to becoming Allah's beloved through the path of rijalulllah, while philosophical Sufism leads to becoming Allah's beloved through the path of understanding. The difference between the two lies in the path to Allah. In general, Sunni Sufism is in accordance with the sharia path to Allah. The similarity between philosophical Sufism and Sunni Sufism education is in the aspect of karomah, where both Sufism teachings accept the concept of karomah in its implementation.

Abstract

Women's involvement in terrorism activities has increased over the past 10 years. The role of women, which was initially as supporters of acts of terrorism, has transformed into perpetrators of terrorism. This article focuses on the factors of women's involvement in acts of terrorism as well as peace building actions to overcome it. This research is a literature research using an interdisciplinary approach. This study concludes that women's involvement in acts of terrorism is not only in the name of religion, but also due to various aspects of life such as ideological doctrine, political, economic and personal factors. Peace building efforts towards women's involvement in acts of terrorism can be a solution in tackling radicalism. The approaches needed include the deradicalization, religious and ideological, psychological, economic, socio-cultural, legal and political approach. The use of information technology and community-based approaches are also important factors in tackling this problem.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the career development policy of Islamic Religious Education teachers under the Local government is implemented and what the supporting and inhibiting factors are. This study was conducted by tracing literature sources and tracking related documents. This study shows that the career development policy has been regulated in Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers and Government Regulation No. 74 of 2005 concerning Teachers, which mandates two streams of coaching and professional development for teachers, namely: first, coaching and professional development including pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. second, coaching and career development, which consists of three domains, namely assignments, promotions, and promotions. The view that Islamic religious education teachers are under the full authority of the ministry of religion is one of the obstacles to policy implementation. While the supporting factors are the existence of clear rules under the regional staffing agency and a religious and socio-political atmosphere that is conducive and safe, So that the local government provides opportunities for PAI teachers to proactively propose activity programs through teachers' working groups (KKG) and subject teachers' meetings (MGMP).

Abstract

In the new normal era, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning has undergone significant changes that have an impact on student learning success. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' and teachers' perceptions of Islamic Education learning in the new normal era with students' learning intensity and its impact on students' learning success. The research method used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a t-test that had been carried out by getting a significant value of student perceptions (sig = 0.000) and teacher perceptions (sig = 0.002). SE (effective contribution) value of students (19.90) and teachers (27.9) about PAI learning in Era new normal with learning success. The t test that has been carried out gets a significant of 0.000. SE value (effective contribution X2: learning intensity (17.4) (49.4) impact on student learning success. The simultaneous F test that has been carried out is significant at 0.000. The value of the relationship obtained by perception and learning intensity with student learning success (28.3%). The conclusion from the research results is that there is a significant relationship between X2 and Y.

Abstract

The digital era is marked by massive technological developments, having a significant impact on the world of education. The study aims to delineate the application and strengthening of character education through Islamic Religious Education in addressing the negative impact of technology in the digital era. The research method uses a library study as an approach to analyzing the concept of the application and strengthening of character education through Islamic religious education. The results of the study include various findings that address these concepts, highlighting strategies and methods that can be used to enhance the character of students. The research results show that Islamic-based character education is crucial in view of the impact of technological changes that affect interaction, communication, and behavior. Ethical guidance in the use of technology can be obtained through Islamic religious education, with emphasis on the application of everyday character through cultivation and uniformity. Successful character education requires shared responsibility from schools, communities, and parents. The recommendation of this study is the need for further integration between technology and character education through Islamic Religious Education. It requires a joint effort from education, parents, and the community to ensure that the use of technology is done positively, in line with student character formation.
