Abstract

The pandemic has changed the way of teacher delivering material to the students. SMP Wahidiyah Kediri has supported the online learning for its students in order to bring new learning experience to the students and also in order to make the teaching learning process better in this new pandemic era. English as one of the compulsory subject at Junior High would also use online learning as media in teaching learning process. The online learning should make the students gain the knowledge better but also in a fun way. Video is used as one of the media in teaching English as it is bring joy and fun to the students. The study involved the seventh grade students of SMP Wahidiyah Kediri. It was completed in eight meetings. The researcher used quantitative method with t-tests to analyze the data. The result showed that there were significantly different levels of learning outcomes between the students who were taught by online fun video learning with the students who were not. The data showed that t-test > t-table (3807 > 1993) so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The average score showed that the class control has lower value than the class experiment. So it can be concluded that online fun video learning could improve the students’ learning outcome

Abstract

Analysis of public transport tariffs is one of the supporting factors for public transportation for the general Makassar community. Especially people who use transportation transportation services on the Central Market route - Minasa Upa or vice versa. The purpose of this research is to obtain a detailed description of the analysis of the costs of the Central Market public transport route - Minasa Upa in Makassar City and analyze public transport fares on Central Market routes - Minasa Upa and from Minasa Upa - Central Market. The data collection method used in this study was conducted by conducting interviews and questionnaire distribution to the public transportation management (Angkot) routes of the Central Market-Minasa Upa. The calculation results of Central Market transport rates - Minasa Upa which consists of two types of vehicles, namely, Suzuki Carry 1500 cc produces a basic tariff for public transportation of Rp. 4000, - / Route and Student Transportation Tariff of Rp. 2600, - / Route, while for the type of Daihatsu Grand Max 1500 cc, the basic tariff for public transportation is Rp. 5000, - / Route and student transportation tariff of Rp. 3400, - / Route

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify types of sentences and their frequency contained in the novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in order to help high school students to improve their ability in understanding and practicing English sentence structure. This research was a descriptive study. The corpus of this research was the novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” which is written by Lewis Carroll. All of the declarative sentences of the conversation in all of the novel's chapters were analyzed in this research which include formal and informal sentences, direct sentences, and nominal and verbal sentences. This research used open coding and focused coding as the procedure of data analysis. The corpus was sorted for complete declarative sentences. After that, they were grouped and coded based on their types of sentences and subcategories. Then, each type of sentence’s frequency of occurrence was calculated. The finding found that there are four sentence types used by the novel, which are: simple sentences, compound sentences, complex sentences, complex sentences, and compound-complex sentences. The total declarative sentences found are 440 sentences. Simple sentence becomes the most frequent sentence type used by the novel and complex compound sentence becomes the least. This research covered the information for students about sentence types they need to master before reading the novel as one of their media to learn and practice sentence structure.

Abstract

The demand for Vocational Education graduates to have the skills that are needed in the work place is a challenge for these Vocational Education institutions. Various efforts in teaching methods at Vocational Education institutions have been carried out with the intention of increasing the competitiveness of Vocational Education. Practice has the largest percentage in vocational education. Multimedia utilization; practice and work with groups; take advantage of the surrounding environment; as well as multiple aspects. One of the kinds in learning that fits with the previous explanation is the type of Project Based Learning or PBL. Learning evaluation is the process of obtaining data and information needed to determine how far and how learning has taken place in order to be able to make the necessary judgments and improvements to maximize results. The purpose of this research is to examine the needs analysis of assessment instruments in humanities courses, especially in English course. After having an attention to the stages of analysis of the questions in this study, it can be concluded that the types of assessment needed in learning evaluation activities in Project Based Learning or PBL classes are: (1) types of learning evaluation in the form of Authentic Assessments; (2) the type of learning evaluation is in the form of an Test Assessment.

Abstract

This research discussed about: 1) the process of implementing practical field experience conducted by students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu at the Central Sulawesi Museum; 2) students' interest in learning at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu in the implementation of practical field experience at the Central Sulawesi Museum; and 3) student achievement of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu on the implementation of practical field experience at the Central Sulawesi Museum. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The interviews were aimed at teachers who teach history, school principals, and students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu. Processing techniques and data analysis techniques are carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of practical field experience by students of SMK Muhammdiyah 1 Palu in the Central Sulawesi museum was seeing and observing various collections of historical relics. Implementation of field experience practice at the Central Sulawesi Museum in history learning can reduce boredom, increase interest in learning, be fun, interesting, not boring, add insight and knowledge and generate new enthusiasm in students in learning history. The results of the questionnaire explained that the implementation of practical field experience at the Central Sulawesi Museum could improve student achievement. This is indicated by the completeness percentage of class X Tkj A and X Tkj B reaching 95.8%.

Abstract

As one of the sectors that are the focus of the development of Making Indonesia 4.0, the electronics industry is one of the sectors that must accelerate itself in facing high competition in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, where the development of digital technology and global needs for various technology support instruments are very high. The competitiveness of the electronics industry must be a concern; for this reason, this research will analyse the fiscal incentives applied to the electronics industry sector, especially the Government Borne Import Duty (BMDTP). The implementation of RIA supports the policy-making process by including valuable empirical data for a policy decision and constructing a rational decision framework to examine the potential implications of regulatory policy choices. Based on the analysis conducted, the data shows that the BMDTP policy is to encourage the ease of importing raw materials that can increase industrial competitiveness; the application of the BMDTP policy is clear and understandable; only inconsistencies in the timing of its implementation, and the performance of the electronics sector industry shows the benefits of implementing the BMDTP policy.

Abstract

Migrant communities in an area have distinctive patterns both in social life, electoral politics, and non-electoral. Typical patterns will be repeated and become political culture. In this study, the author looks at the political culture of the Mandar people in Palu City, considering that the Mandar people have lived in the town of Palu for a long time. This research is a descriptive qualitative research conducted to find out the political culture patterns of immigrant communities. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the type of political culture of the Mandar people in Palu is the type of political culture of the participants. This is shown by the cognitive, affective, and evaluative aspects of the Mandar community which are suitable for all political aspects such as the general system, input objects, and political output objects. Participant political culture in the Mandar community in Palu City results from the level of education and open access to information in the urban environment.

Abstract

This study examined the issue of identity politics and the threat of pluralism in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. The people of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra consisting of various ethnicities, tribes, races and cultures have been able to live with a spirit of pluralism and tolerance. Lately, the spirit of pluralism that has been run by the people of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra began to erode along with the strengthening of identity politics. The prominence of tribal, religious, racial and cultural identities becomes a serious problem in a plural society, because, the spirit of highlighting tribal, racial, cultural and religious identities excessively leads to claims of truth and the assumption that their tribes, races, religions and cultures are superior to cultures, races, tribes and religions outside their groups. In collecting data, this study uses qualitative methods. The research stages carried out are literature studies, observations, documentation, and interviews. The research will be guided by social theories such as identity politics and pluralism. The finding of this research is the strengthening of identity politics in Bukittinggi related to religious issues. Politically, religions outside of Islam are limited. This religious identity is further strengthened by the emergence of many religious groups in the midst of the people of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. like Islamic organizations that massively bergeriliya in carrying out its mission to Islamize the entire community of west Sumatra. The movements carried out by islamic organizations seem to be strengthened by ethnicity (tribal), in the form of customs of the people of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra which is famous for its integration of customs and religions. Indirectly religion outside the religion of Islam its existence is limited in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the most dominant type of derivational morphemes and the formation process of derivational morphemes found in the Joe Biden’s inauguration speech. This research was a descriptive study. The researcher used documents to collect the data. The corpus of this research was the transcript of the inauguration speech by Joe Biden. The data were collected from the official website “The White House”. Then, the data were sorted out of the corpus. This research used open coding and focused coding to analyze the data. The writer used the theory of Fromkin, Rodman, and Hyams to analyze the most dominant type of derivational morphemes and Koltai’s theory to analyze the formation process of derivational morphemes. The findings of this research found that the most dominant type of derivational morphemes found in the Joe Biden’s inauguration speech are suffixes with 147 data out of 158 data. The formation processes of derivational morphemes found are noun formation, verb formation, adjective formation, and adverb formation. Noun formation becomes the most dominant formation process with 107 data out of 158 data. This research covered two types of derivational morphemes and four formation processes of derivational morphemes as a discussion for further linguistic study on morphology, especially derivational morphemes.

Abstract

The implementation of blockchain technology in E-commerce has become an increasingly important topic in recent years. Blockchain can bring big changes in the E-commerce industry, especially in increasing customer security and trust in online transactions. In this article, it is explained how blockchain technology can be used in E-commerce, such as in increasing the security of online transactions, product tracking, use of smart contracts, and digital identities. Nonetheless, the implementation of blockchain technology also has challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome, such as the considerable cost and time involved in system development and integration, as well as regulatory and legal issues related to the use of cryptocurrencies and digital identities. Therefore, the implementation of blockchain technology in E-commerce requires careful strategy and planning to maximize the benefits that this technology can provide.
