Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang dilakukan oleh guru dikelas masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang berfokus pada guru (teacher center) sehingga mengakibatkan proses pembelajaran yang monoton, siswa cenderung merasa bosan, kurang aktif, bahkan tidak menyukai materi yang diajarkan. Adapun hasil belajar siswa yang rendah dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang salah satunya adalah peggunaan metode/model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat.Tujuan penelitian yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif type Think Talk Write (TTW) materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang ditinjau dari aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, dan respon siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini One-Shot Case Study dengan sampel penelitian kelas VIII-B yang berjumlah 28 siswa di Mts Darul Qur’an. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket dengan instrumen berupa lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa, lembar soal posttest, dan lembar angket respon siswa.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya penelitian menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) efektif. Hal ini dikarenakan telah memenuhi syarat keefektifan, yakni : (1) Aktifitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori aktif, (2) Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal ≥ 75%, (3) Respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) dikatakan efektif digunakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence emotional intelligence had on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade VII A and VII B students at MTs Fisabilillah School. The instrument in this study used an essay test of five questions and an emotional intelligence questionnaire of 40 statements. Based on the data that has been obtained from the calculation of the effect of emotional intelligence on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of MTs Fisabilillah School students, the researchers can conclude several things including, there is a significant influence on the influence of emotional intelligence on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of MTs Fisabilillah School students of 0.8359 or 69,87%. The rest is influenced by other factors, such as students' thinking ability, and other aspects not examined by this study. This is also reinforced by the results of hypothesis testing which shows that thitung > ttabel is thitung 11.1778 > ttabel= 2.00488 which states that there is a significant influence between emotional intelligence and the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan yang wajib dimiliki oleh siswa ialah kemampuan pemecahan masalah (problem solving). Dikarenakan pemecahan masalah yang berarti kegiatan yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Oleh sebab itu, keterampilan yang harus dikuasai pada abad 21 yaitu problem solving. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tahapan Polya dalam menyelesaikan soal materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel. kaitannya dengan tahapan pemecahan masalah Polya. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pemilihan subjek yang dianalisis dan wawancara menggunakan teknik purposive sumpling. Subjek penelitian ini diambil 6 subjek berdasarkan nilai PTS (Penilaian Tengah Semester) dari 29 siswa kelas VIII-C di MTs Midanutta’lim. Kemudian Subjek terbagi atas siswa berkemampuan kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi merupakan teknik pengumpulan data dalam tinjauan ini. Kemudian untuk menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, menarik kesimpulan serta verifikasi. Hasil analisis data dipaparkan bahwa siswa berkemampuan tinggi mencapai tahapan memahami persoalan, membuat rencana, mengimplementasikan rencana penyelesaian, tetapi tidak dapat meninjau kembali. Siswa berkemampuan sedang memiliki kemampuan memahami masalah sedangkan tahap lainnya seperti membuat rencana, mengimplementasikan rancangan penyelesaian, dan meninjau kembali siswa tidak melaksanakannya. Sedangkan siswa berkemampuan rendah belum memunculkan tahap-tahap pemecahan masalah Polya.

Abstract

Monotonous learning, many and difficult formulas to understand and the lack of student interest have an impact on low learning scores. So we need an innovation or development in the teaching and learning process of mathematics, one of which is by making innovative learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media using Macromedia Flash software on the circle material of class VIII students of MTs Syamsul Huda Kediri. This type of research is development research that adapts the ADDIE development model. The first step is a needs analysis which will then be used as a reference to proceed to the second stage, namely the product design stage and the preparation of research instruments. After the learning media has been created, the media is then validated by material experts and media experts which will then be tested on students. The results of the assessment from the media expert validator obtained a score of 3.5 in the "valid" category and the material expert validator obtained a score of 3.4 in the "fairly valid" category. ". From the results of the study it can be concluded that this learning media received a negative response from students which was probably caused by the buttons in the learning media based on Macromedia Flash Software that did not work optimally.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the process, obstacles (internal and external) and efforts to overcome obstacles to android-based E-Learning lectures in the TMM Study Program during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection technique; Observation, interview and documentation. The research subjects were lecturers and students (16 people) who took the Differential Calculus course. Data analysis techniques: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the E-Learning lecture process used the WhatsApp Group and Google Classroom applications. Barriers to E-Learning lectures, namely, internal factors (1) student health conditions. (2) learning equipment or learning media that are incomplete. Barriers from external factors, (1) the implementation time of the learning process that is less disciplined. (2) the surrounding environment is not conducive. (3) students' motivation and interest in learning are lacking because lectures are individual. Efforts to overcome obstacles to E-Learning lectures, namely: quota assistance from the government; Lectures using Zoom and Google Meet; The internet network is evenly distributed in every area; Increase self-motivation and interest; Presentation of concise material in the form of video; Discipline in college time; using web-based E-Learning; based learning; The assignment is in the form of making videos to practice creativity and presentations to see student activity and creativity.

Abstract

Pembelajaran mengenai konsep matematika sangatlah penting demi meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Peran serta budaya dalam menumbuhkan karakter dan identitas bangsa, dapat seiring sejalan dengan integrasi budaya sebagai media dalam menumbuhkan pemahaman terhadap konsep matematika. Etnomatematika memudahkan kita memahami konsep matematika sekaligus mempelajari budaya yang ada di sekitar kita. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui etnomatematika pada jajanan pasar dengan materi matematika geometri. Metode penelitiannya adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu terdapat unsur budaya dan materi matematika geometri pada jajanan pasar yang ada di Daerah Cileungsi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in understanding mathematical concepts between classes taught with the MURDER learning model (Mood, Understanding, Recall, Digest, Expend, and Review) assisted by Ice Breaking and conventional learning in class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This type of research is Quasy Experimental Design using a 2×3 factorial research design. The samples used were students of class XI Accounting 1 and XI Accounting 2 SMK Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya. This study also uses Cluster Random Sampling as a sampling technique, as well as for data collection, namely through tests. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively by using the Two Way ANOVA Test (Two-Way Variance Analysis). Through the calculation of the hypothesis, the results obtained that the p-Value value of the Ice Breaking-assisted MURDER learning model = 0.000 less than = 0.05 so that the p-Value , it can be said that there is an effect of using the Ice Breaking-Assisted MURDER learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concept .

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa kelas IX terhadap pemecahan masalah menggunakan materi penyajian data. Terdapat empat indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa adalah: memahami masalah, merencanakan masalah, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis deskriptif adalah jenis penelitian yang digunakan dengan metode kualitatif yang dilihat dari hasil tes siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah sebuah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Data analisis pengerjaan siswa dikategorikan ke lima level diataranya sangat kurang, kurang, cukup, baik, sangat baik. Hasil analsisi menunjukan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah masih rendah. Untuk soal nomor satu dikategorikan cukup dan nomor dua dikategorikan kurang Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa terhambat oleh kurangnya pemahaman soal dan kurangnya ketelitian dalam membaca soal.

Abstract

Research and development (Research and Development) by producing products in the form of Mathematics Higer Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions based on culture and local wisdom on homemade pastries (ethnic-MathHOTS). The development model referred to by the researcher is the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) which was adapted into Analysis, Design, Development (ADD). The stages that the research team has done are currently only at the design stage, meaning that the design of the Mathematics Higer Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions based on culture and local wisdom on pastries (ethnic-MathHOTS) that will be made will be consulted with experts consisting of assessment experts. and material experts.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the application of the blended learning model with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach to the material of a two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) class VIII-E SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The instruments used are critical thinking ability test questions, student activity observation sheets, teacher ability observation sheets in managing learning, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the blended learning learning model with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in class VIII-E of SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya was not effective because learning outcomes in students' critical thinking skills obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.28 is categorized as low. Although the other three aspects have met the effective criteria, it is indicated by the effectiveness of student activities in all meetings getting an average of 89.9% which is categorized as very strong, the effectiveness of the teacher's ability is on average 98.4% in the very good category, and student responses to learning show very positive response. This should affect student learning outcomes but in reality it does not affect it, this is because students are less able to recognize and formulate problems, have not been able to solve problems correctly using all SPLDV methods (elimination, substitution, and mixture).
