Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of relationship marketing on customer retention, with the locus being CV MS. The study used a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique used the proportionate stratified random sampling method. Primary data collected through questionnaires to 91 samples. Relationship marketing variables were examined through four dimensions: trust, commitment, communication, and complaint handling. The study results showed that all four relationship marketing variables together influenced customer retention by 52.5 percent. If examined partially, the trust variable is the only variable that significantly influences customer retention. A strong correlation between the trust variable and customer retention also supports this. Thus, the success of building trust in CV MS with government clients is the main factor in fostering long-term relationships with consumers.

Service Standards are benchmarks used as guidelines for service delivery and as references for assessing service quality, representing the obligation and commitment of service providers to the community in delivering quality, fast, easy, affordable, and measurable services. This study aims to determine and analyze the implementation of public service standards in Penajam Sub-District, Penajam Paser Utara District. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach method. Data in this study consist of primary and secondary data, which were analyzed qualitatively, leading to drawn conclusions. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with informants at the Penajam Sub-District Office, including the Sub-District Head, General Affairs Subsection Head, Section Heads, Sub-District Employees/Staff, and service users from the community. The findings of the research are as follows: 1) The overall implementation of public service standards in Penajam Sub-District is reasonably good and sufficiently satisfying to the community. However, there is still a need for improvement and enhancement in the quality of public service implementation; 2) The preparation, establishment, and implementation of Service Standards in Penajam Sub-District have adhered to the principles outlined in Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Number 15 of 2014, including simplicity, accountability, sustainability, and fairness. However, they have not yet fully incorporated participatory and transparent elements; 3) There are several types of services with detailed per-component service standards that have not been established in the Decree of the Penajam Sub-District Head, Penajam Paser Utara District Number: 060/129/Kec.PNJ-Umum/XI/2023 regarding the Establishment of Service Standards in Penajam Sub-District; 4) Subsequent socialization efforts related to the established Penajam Sub-District Service Standards have not been conducted, thus affecting the understanding of service officers regarding public service implementation; 5) Publication efforts concerning Penajam Sub-District Service Standards have not been undertaken through electronic or non-electronic media.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive strategy for managing shallot farms in Desa Bonto Lojong as a sustainable tourism destination. The shallot farms have faced significant challenges due to the negative impact of viral content on social media, resulting in substantial losses for the farmers. To mitigate these effects, the farm owners have implemented measures such as installing fences to control visitor access. However, these temporary solutions do not address the underlying issues of sustainable tourism development. Using a qualitative research design with observation and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) methods, this study focuses on the social media marketing strategy, utilizing the 4Ps of marketing product, place, price, and promotion to promote the shallot farm as a sustainable tourism destination. The research aims to identify the potential of shallot farms as a tourist attraction while ensuring that the development is sustainable and beneficial for both the local community and the environment. The findings will provide insights into transforming shallot farms into sustainable tourism destinations, enhancing their economic viability while preserving ecological and social integrity. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on sustainable tourism development by highlighting community-based initiatives and the role of social media in promoting local agricultural products. The outcomes will be beneficial for policymakers, local stakeholders, and farmers, providing practical strategies to manage and promote their agricultural products sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and Quality of Work Life (QWL) on employee performance at the Secretariat of DPRD in Penajam Paser Utara Regency. The specific objectives of this research are: 1) to determine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance, 2) to determine and analyze the effect of QWL on employee performance, and 3) to determine and analyze the simultaneous effect of work motivation and QWL on employee performance. The research was conducted at the Secretariat of DPRD in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan, over a period of approximately 3 months from the submission of the research proposal. The total number of respondents involved in this study was 104 employees, who were selected as the sample. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis to test the effects of independent variables (work motivation and QWL) on the dependent variable (employee performance). Regression coefficient statistical tests are used to determine the significance of the effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Secretariat of DPRD in Penajam Paser Utara Regency. This finding is consistent with the majority of previous studies, which show that work motivation plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity and service quality. 2) Quality of Work Life (QWL) also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, where a comfortable and supportive work environment contributes to job satisfaction, reduces stress, and increases employee productivity. 3) Simultaneously, both work motivation and QWL have a significant effect on employee performance, with these two variables explaining a substantial portion of the variation in employee performance. These findings emphasize that both work motivation and QWL are essential in creating a supportive work environment that motivates employees to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Street Vendors (PKL) play a significant role in Indonesia's informal economy, although their presence often conflicts with the government regarding the use of public spaces. In cities like Surabaya, the government seeks to regulate PKL activities through local regulations enforced by the Municipal Police (Satpol PP), aiming to create a more orderly and cleaner urban environment. However, these efforts often face resistance from PKL, who feel their livelihoods are being threatened. This study aims to examine and describe the implementation of the policy for controlling street vendors by the Satpol PP of Tegalsari District in the Keputran Market area of Surabaya. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using an interactive analysis technique involving data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that communication, resources, and bureaucratic structure indicators support the policy implementation, but the disposition indicator is not yet optimal due to the lack of full support from the implementers, thus requiring improvements to enhance policy effectiveness.
