Abstract

Parenting is a process of guiding, educating, and disciplining carried out by parents on children to achieve independence by applying certain norms that exist in the family and society. The purpose of this study was to describe and determine the description of parenting patterns in Daarul Jannah Kindergarten, East Pontianak. By using descriptive quantitative method and the number of samples involved was 11 respondents. In this study there are also specific objectives of the description of parenting patterns, types of parenting patterns, factors of parenting patterns. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. The results showed that the parenting pattern most widely applied by parents of children at Daarul Jannah Kindergarten, East Pontianka is democratic parenting 82%, this percentage is more than authoritarian parenting 57% and permissive parenting 43%, and there are also factors that are most prominent, namely environmental factors at home. From these results it can be concluded that democratic parenting is the parenting pattern most widely applied by parents of children at Daarul Jannah Kindergarten in East Pontianak with the most visible factor being environmental factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning style of class XI students at State Senior High School 1 Semparuk, Sambas Regency, The method used is quantitative descriptive method. The data collection tools are, interview mix, psychological scale and documentation. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS State Senior High School 1 Semparuk Sambas Regency with a population of 167 students with a research sample of 40 students. From the data that has been collected and then arranged and described objectively in the form of a narrative, it obtained an average percentage of 68.25% with the category "Good" this shows that the learning style of students at SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk Sambas Regency is good. Based on the results of the data above, guidance and counseling teachers provide efforts to improve students' learning styles including the provision of information services, group guidance and individual counseling has been quite well implemented by guidance and counseling teachers at SMAN 1 Semparuk Sambas Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of the role of parents in dealing with juvenile delinquency. The findings show that there are several attitudes and behaviors shown by parents in dealing with juvenile delinquency such as (1) good communication and constructive and educational advice; (2) providing positive role models for children; (3) providing discipline to children, and (4) giving praise to children when doing good things. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the role of parents in dealing with juvenile delinquency plays an important role in adolescent growth and development. The limitation in this study is that researchers only see the causes of juvenile delinquency from the role of parents so that further research can reveal a wider range of causes of juvenile delinquency such as the role of peers, the role of social media and the impact of broken homes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local UMKM-based E-Modules to increase high school students' entrepreneurial interest. Using a pretest-posttest one group design, this pre-experimental quantitative research involved 12 students who were randomly selected to take part in career guidance services with information materials from the Local UMKM-Based Career E-Module. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing relying on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results showed a significant increase in students' interest in entrepreneurship after the intervention, with statistical analysis confirming the effectiveness of the E-Module. In conclusion, contextualized education in career guidance, supports wider application to increase entrepreneurial interest among high school students. The main findings are in line with the SCCT theory, which explains that exposure to local MSME actor models can increase students' entrepreneurial interest. Future research suggestions should involve a larger and varied sample from different schools and different locations.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a serious issue that impacts students' well-being. Addressing this problem effectively requires innovative preventive approaches. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a group guidance module designed to prevent bullying behavior in high schools. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method based on the modified Borg and Gall model, encompassing needs analysis, planning and development, expert validation, and small group trials. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires at UPT SMAN 1 Pangkep. The results indicate that the developed module was rated highly suitable by experts, with an average feasibility score above 80%. Small group trials demonstrated the module's effectiveness in raising students' awareness of bullying and promoting positive behaviors. Overall, the module was well-received by students and teachers as a preventive tool for addressing bullying. In conclusion, this group guidance module proved to be effective and can be implemented to create a safe and conducive learning environment, enhancing students' social skills in preventing and addressing bullying.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a resilience module product for Generation Z students that is practical and feasible to use to provide information about resilience to students and to determine the feasibility of the resilience module from the responses of Generation Z students in the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of Sanata Dharma University. This research uses the Research and Development method developed by Borg and Gall. This research was modified into 5 stages, namely: research and information gathering, planning, initial product format development, initial product validation, and product revision. This research was assessed by three expert validators, namely material expert validators, media expert validators, and assessed by user validators, namely students. This research produced a module book entitled "Gen-Z Student Resilience Module". The assessment results from each validator, namely the material expert validator of 90% (very feasible), the first media expert validator of 96.77% (very feasible), the second media expert validator of 89.51% (very feasible), and the user validator, namely students of 90% (very feasible). Based on the validation results, it can be concluded that the Gen-Z resilience module book is categorized as very feasible with an average percentage of 91%. The Gen-Z student resilience module book is expected to be further tested by further researchers so that it can be used effectively, and this research is also expected to be implemented at other universities.

Abstract

Learning style is an individual's special mindset in receiving, processing information and learning new skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of learning styles in terms of DISC personality type. The research methodology uses survey research and analyzes it. The results of the study showed that: (1) Dominance personality type has Visual learning style as much as 8%, Auditory 5% and Kinesthetic 10%; (2) Influence personality type has Visual learning style as much as 5%, Auditory 5% and Kinesthetic 8%; (3) Steadiness personality type has Visual learning style as much as 24%, Auditory 3% and Kinesthetic 21%; (4) Compliance personality type has Visual learning style as much as 3%, Auditory 0% and Kinesthetic 8%. The conclusion is that students of the Guidance and Counseling study program have a Steadiness personality type as many as 17 people out of 38 respondents with visual and kinesthetic learning styles. This means that they have a personality type that really likes the process, willing to persevere, loyalty and able to work together in teams. They find it easier to learn material visually and through hands-on practice.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs of guidance and counseling (BK) media in preventing child grooming sexual harassment among high school students. The research method used was survey, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The research subjects involved 81 randomly selected grade X students and the interview sessions were conducted with two counseling teachers and five students. Questionnaire data was analyzed descriptively to identify patterns of student needs, while interview data was analyzed using the thematic analysis method with the help of the NVivo application. The results showed that E-Book media and projects or simulations are highly needed by students, providing flexibility and practical experience in learning. In addition, interactive methods such as field trips and talk shows also received high appreciation from students. Thus, the use of interactive digital media such as E-Books in counseling services can effectively increase students' understanding and awareness regarding the prevention of sexual abuse cases such as child grooming.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior is an act of behavior that is carried out physically or verbally which is detrimental and carried out consciously by individuals to harm or injure other individuals. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of group counseling services using a behavioral approach with reframing techniques to reduce aggressive behavior in students. This research is a quantitative study using a pre-experimental design with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test calculations, it can be seen that there is a significant difference in the experimental group, where the average percentage in the pre-test is 78% including the high category, then after being given group counseling with reframing techniques the post-test results of the five subjects have decreased to 50% in the low category. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon signed ranks test is 0.00 <0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the pre-test results and the post-test results, which means that there is an effect of using group counseling with reframing techniques to reduce verbal aggressive behavior. With this research, counseling teachers can apply reframing techniques in dealing with students who have problems, especially in the problem of verbal aggressive behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding of speaking ethics by giving Group Guidance using Sociodrama Technique. This research uses experimental quantitative method with the design of “one group pretest-postest design”, the sample in the research from class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya which amounted to 6 students as samples with purposive sampling technique. Based on the research results, it is known that the descriptive results before being given group guidance services with sociodrama techniques, the average percentage of understanding of speaking ethics is 34.16%. Descriptive results of understanding of speaking ethics are low, after being given group guidance services with sociodrama techniques, the average percentage of 42.83% is included in the high classification.  It is known that t count -14.100> t table -4.032 using the paired sample t test. Then the Ho hypothesis is rejected and Ha is accepted.  This shows that “group guidance services with sociodrama techniques can improve understanding of speaking ethics of students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya”.
