Abstract

This research aims to find out and overcome the challenges faced by parents of children who are addicted to gadgets. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative research methods. The instruments used were interviews and observations of parents and children who were addicted to gadgets. The results of this research show several challenges faced by parents in dealing with children who are addicted to gadgets and there are several ways parents use to deal with children who are addicted to gadgets.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction carried out by students with educators and learning resources in a learning environment (Achjar, 2008). In a learning process, there are elements, namely educators, students, learning resources, environment, learning, and interactions which are interrelated. among these elements. (Gagne & Briggs, 1979) said that learning is a system that aims to assist the learning process, which contains a series of events that are designed, and arranged in such a way as to influence and support the internal learning process of students. In other words, learning is an activity that is deliberately planned and designed in such a way as to provide assistance to the learning process. In the learning process, there are 2 elements that can influence, namely internal and external elements. Internal elements are from learning itself, while external elements include things outside of learning that can influence one's own learning process.

Abstract

This thesis research is based on the existence of welfare which is influenced by demographic, social and economic characteristics. Welfare is a state/condition where people can enjoy a prosperous, satisfying life, where technological progress occurs in harmony with environmental quality. So we can see from the demographic, social and economic characteristics of jenang producers whether they are considered prosperous communities or not. The problem formulation in this thesis is: (1) What are the demographic, social and economic characteristics of jenang producing families in Rejowinangun Village? (2) What is the welfare of the families of jenang producers in Rejowinangun Village?(3) Is there an influence of demographic, social and economic characteristics on the welfare of jenang producing families in Rejowinangun Village? (4) How big is the influence of demographic, social and economic characteristics on the welfare of jenang producing families in Rejowinangun Village? .The research approach used in this research is quantitative descriptive and associative. The population for this research is all jenang producers in Rejowinangun Village. Then the technique used in sampling is probability sampling with the snowball sampling technique. The type of research is descriptive and associative. Descriptive to answer problem formulations and associative to answer problems number three and four. The research results show: submitted to jenang producers in Rejowinangun Village, their welfare conditions are in the very high/very good category. Furthermore, based on the results of the hypothesis test, the result obtained is sig = 0.021 (0.021 <0.05) so that it is said that there is a positive and significant influence between demographic, social and economic influences on the welfare of the family of jenang producers, while based on the hypothesis test, a value (R) of 0.771, indicating that the two variables have a strong relationship.the R Square value is 59.5%, while 40.5% is by other factor.

Abstract

Formative assessment can help teachers understand the strengths and weaknesses experienced by students in learning. Techniques in implementing formative assessment vary, one of which can use media. Initial observation data of students who have learning difficulties in understanding the subject matter as much as 95% and learning completeness has only reached 50.00%, and the average score is 69.05%. The purpose of this study is to describe the results of learning innovation research in the form of using meatball buffet media and achievement stupa on formative assessment of social studies subjects of class IX students of SMPN1 Purwanegara. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Purwanegara. The population in this study were all ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Purwanegara, totalling 272 students. The sample in this study were students of class IX G. Teacher-made innovative media in the form of meatball buffet and achievement stupa used in this learning research were made to determine student learning difficulties and student learning outcomes. The results of the research activities were that students only experienced learning difficulties of 2%. While the learning outcomes 90% of students showed complete learning with an average score of 87.67. In conclusion, formative assessment using prasmanan bakso media and stupa prestasi can reduce learning difficulties and help students understand the material so that their learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

This research comprehensively discusses assessment in education, starting from the meaning, function, principles, types of assessment, to the assessment techniques used. Assessment is defined as the process of gathering information to make decisions regarding students, curriculum, programs, and educational policies. The assessment function includes understanding student learning progress, improving teaching strategies, and determining graduation. The assessment principles include keeping track, checking up, finding out, and summing up, and focus on competency achievement, validity and reliability of assessment tools, balance of process and results, use of various methods and tools, continuous assessment, and assessment functions. Types of assessment include diagnostic, formative, summative, selective, and placement assessments, as well as assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning. Assessment techniques are divided into test and non-test techniques. Test techniques include performance assessment, product assessment, project assessment, and portfolio assessment. Non-test techniques include observation sheets. This paper is expected to provide a better understanding of assessment and its application in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rampant criminal cases committed by members of martial arts schools in Indonesia, especially in East Java. This phenomenon includes brawls between martial arts schools, with the majority of the perpetrators still being students. This criminal act reflects reprehensible behavior and does not reflect the attitude of an educated student. In this study, a quantitative approach was used with a survey method involving the use of questionnaires and documentation. The research sample consisted of 65 students who were active in pencak silat martial extracurriculars. The results of the study showed that most of the 65 students at MTs Darul Falah Bendiljati Kulon Sumbergempol had good character, with 64 students in the fair category (scores 47-73) and only 1 student in the low category (scores 20-46). The average score of the student character questionnaire was 58.78. The results of the analysis also showed that pencak silat martial arts extracurricular had a significant influence on the formation of students' character, marked by a t_hitung score of 5,901 which exceeded the t_tabel score of 1,998, showing a positive contribution of this extracurricular in improving students' character.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of reading comprehension difficulties and the factors that cause difficulties in learning to read comprehension for fifth grade students at SDN Purworejo 02. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study design. The subjects in this research were 1 class V teacher, 3 class V students, 3 friends of class V students, 3 guardians of class V students who were selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews, and documentacion. The data analysis technique in this research uses Miles and Huberman with stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this research uses triangulation and member check. The results of this research include: (1) difficulty understanding the content of the reading because students have limited vocabulary such as students not knowing many words (2) difficulty concluding the reading due to not understanding the content of the reading. (3) there are four factors that cause difficulties in learning to read comprehension, including interest factors, intellectual intelligence factors, school environmental factors, and family environmental factors

Abstract

The conventional Ojek which is a non-online means of transportation that uses motorcycles and still exists to this day. In the midst of today's sophistication of digitalization, this research focuses on conventional eye-driving strategies. The aim of this study was to identify the various tactics used by conventional blind drivers, as well as the reasons why they still exist and operate. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling. Based on current criteria, the study involved five informants out of five drivers. The place of research is J.H. Imam Munandar, Pekanbaru. Observations, interviews, and documentation are used as data instruments. Research shows that conventional eye drivers use three strategies: an active strategy, a passive strategy, and a networking strategy. The study also suggests that conventional car drivers still survive due to incomes, social and hard-to-seek jobs today.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the impact of parents' parenting style on their children's learning motivation at the SMA/MA class XII Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Wathon Gresik school year 2024/2025. Using a descriptive qualitative approach. The sample in this study was 15 students from class XII MIPA. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. This research reveals that parents use a variety of parenting styles. The majority of student parents tend to apply a democratic or authoritative parenting style, while only a few choose a permissive or authoritarian style. From this research, it was revealed that 13 parents used a democratic/authoritative parenting style, 1 parent used an authoritarian style, and 1 other parent used a permissive style. As a result, students whose parents used a democratic or permissive parenting style showed high learning motivation. On the other hand, students with low learning motivation usually come from families with an authoritarian parenting style. These findings confirm that parental involvement in choosing a parenting style greatly influences children's motivation to learn.

Abstract

The program "Orang Pinggiran" portrays the lives of marginalized communities in Indonesia, with one of its episodes, "Sepenggal Kisah Anak Gembala," depicting the struggles of Juriyah's family. This study aims to analyze the representation of poverty in this episode using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, which distinguishes between denotative and connotative meanings. The research method involves semiotic analysis, evaluating visual and narrative signs to reveal deeper meanings. The findings show that the program not only represents the physical conditions of poverty but also constructs a narrative that reinforces connotative meanings related to resilience and hope in the face of adversity. In conclusion, the episode effectively uses signs to illustrate the complex social realities, inviting viewers to reflect on issues of injustice and resilience amidst poverty.
