Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of Work Life Balance on Employee Performance, both directly and through Work Motivation as an intermediary variable. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study includes all employees in the agency studied. The sampling technique applied is a saturated sampling technique, which means all members of the population are used as respondents, with a total of 125 employees. For data analysis, this study utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS), which is processed using SmartPLS software. The data analysis process involves examining the measurement model, analyzing the structural model, and testing hypotheses for both direct and indirect effects. The research findings indicate a positive and significant direct effect between (1) Work Life Balance and Employee Performance (β = 0.311; p = 0.000). However, no significant direct effect was found between (2) Work-Life Balance and Work Motivation (β=-0.044; p=0.767) and (3) Work Motivation and Employee Performance (β=0.162; p=0.210). Furthermore, the test results for the indirect effect showed that (4) Work-Life Balance did not significantly impact Employee Performance through Work Motivation (β=-0.007; p=0.787), thus Work Motivation did not function as a mediating variable.

Abstract

This study examines the role of extension agents in supporting the success of beef cattle farmer groups in Tabongo District, Gorontalo Regency. The success of farmer groups is influenced not only by livestock potential, but also by the effectiveness of extension services, institutional capacity, and farmers’ willingness to adopt improved farming practices. Using an explanatory approach, the study collected primary data from 50 members of beef cattle farmer groups across nine villages through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression. The descriptive findings show that extension agents performed well as educators, facilitators, motivators, dynamizers, and catalysts. However, the catalyst role was excluded from the regression model because its indicators were invalid. Partially, only the motivator role had a significant effect on group success, with a coefficient of 1.683, t-value of 4.758, and significance value of 0.000. The educator, facilitator, and dynamizer roles showed positive but insignificant effects. Simultaneously, the roles of extension agents significantly influenced group success, with an F-value of 9.474 and significance value of 0.000. The R Square value of 0.457 indicates that extension agents explained 45.7% of group success.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has created new spaces of interaction that not only expand public participation but also give rise to problematic communication practices, such as toxicity and cyberbullying in netizen comments. This phenomenon has become increasingly relevant in the context of contemporary digital society, where the boundary between individual expression and verbal aggression is often blurred. This study aims to understand how discursive practices in netizen comments shape, reproduce, and construct the meaning of toxicity and cyberbullying from the participants’ perspectives. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research involves 10–15 participants who are active social media users in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis of digital comments, and were analyzed using thematic analysis combined with a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework. The findings reveal three primary patterns: the normalization of verbal aggression as part of digital communication culture, psychological distress that leads to ambivalent coping strategies, and the dynamics of social identity that reinforce polarization in online interactions. These findings suggest that cyberbullying is not merely an individual act but a discursive practice embedded in power relations and digital social norms. Theoretically, this study enriches discourse analysis by integrating linguistic, social, and subjective experiential dimensions; practically, it offers implications for strengthening digital literacy, content moderation policies, and mental health based interventions. Furthermore, this research opens avenues for broader and more diverse explorations of digital discourse dynamics.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the transformation of government administration toward digital-based governance, including correspondence management systems. Digital correspondence governance plays an important role in improving administrative effectiveness, bureaucratic efficiency, and the quality of public services. However, the implementation of digital correspondence systems in local government institutions still faces several challenges, including limited system integration, inadequate human resource capacity, and unstandardized electronic archive management. This study aims to analyze and construct a digital correspondence governance model in realizing administrative effectiveness at Dinas Komunikasi, Informatika, Statistik dan Persandian Kabupaten Gowa. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques, while data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of digital correspondence governance has improved the speed of document disposition, administrative efficiency, accessibility of documents, and organizational work coordination. However, the implementation has not been fully optimal due to constraints in system integration, human resource capacity, and digital archive management. This study produced a digital correspondence governance model emphasizing the strengthening of information technology, enhancement of employee competence, integration of administrative systems, and development of a digital work culture. It is recommended that government institutions strengthen the integration of digital correspondence systems, improve employee competencies, and establish sustainable electronic archive management standards.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Consumer Confidence Index, Islamic MSME financing, inflation, and Ramadan on the Real Sales Index in Indonesia. The study uses monthly data from January 2022 to June 2025 obtained from Bank Indonesia, the Central Statistics Agency, and Islamic Banking Statistics published by the Financial Services Authority. The analysis method used is Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) because the results of the Augmented Dickey-Fuller stationarity test indicate a combination of integration orders I(0) and I(1), with no variables integrated at order I(2). Based on the criteria for selecting the best model, the ARDL(3,2,1,2,3) model was obtained. The results of the bounds test indicate a long-term relationship between variables with an F-statistic value of 4.592, which is greater than the upper bound value at the 5 percent significance level. In the long term, the Consumer Confidence Index, Islamic MSME financing, and inflation have a negative and significant effect on the Real Sales Index. Meanwhile, the Ramadan variable is proven to have a positive and significant effect on increasing real sales. The results of this study indicate that consumer psychological factors, monetary conditions, and religious momentum play a significant role in shaping the dynamics of public consumption in Indonesia. Furthermore, diagnostic tests demonstrate that the research model is free from autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity and exhibits a good level of stability, making it suitable for use as a basis for economic analysis and policy formulation.

Abstract

This journal examines the criminal act of child abuse as a form of social deviance in Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands Province. The research uses a qualitative case study approach with data sources in the form of legal documents, media reports, and statistics on violence against children for the 2022–2025 period. The analysis is based on three sociological theories, namely Labeling Theory (Howard Becker), Social Control Theory (Travis Hirschi), and Anomie Theory (Robert Merton). The results of the study show that child abuse in Tanjungpinang is triggered by weakening family ties, exposure to pornographic content through technology, and socio-economic disparities. The impact experienced by victims is long-term, including physical and psychological trauma, feelings of betrayal, sexual trauma, helplessness, and social stigmatization. The study concluded that child abuse is not only a violation of the law, but also a complex social phenomenon. Therefore, a multi-stakeholder response is needed, including firm law enforcement, psychosocial support for victims, strengthening family roles, and increasing digital literacy to prevent exposure to risky content. These findings are expected to form the basis for more comprehensive and sustainable child protection policies at the local and national levels.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Program for pregnant women at Peot Community Health Center, Borong District, East Manggarai Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design and utilized the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. Informants consisted of the Head of the Health Center, MCH Program Coordinator, healthcare workers, and pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that, in the context dimension, the MCH Program is highly relevant to community needs and addresses maternal health issues such as anemia, chronic energy deficiency, and high-risk pregnancies. In terms of input, the program is supported by adequate human resources, healthcare facilities, and an innovative funding scheme known as the Seuntais Movement. Regarding the process dimension, the program has been implemented in accordance with healthcare service standards through several innovations, including the Pregnant Women Companion Midwife Program, partnerships between midwives and traditional birth attendants, the Lonto Leok community forum, and the Stunting and Maternal Mortality Alert System. In the product dimension, antenatal care coverage reached 100% during 2022–2024 and contributed to maintaining zero maternal mortality in recent years. However, child health examination coverage remains between 82% and 86%, indicating the need for further improvement.

Abstract

The increasing number and variety of motorcycles available in the market often make it difficult for prospective buyers to select a motorcycle that matches their needs and preferences. This study aims to implement and evaluate an Explainable Recommender System for motorcycle selection using the Weighted Content-Based Filtering method in a web-based environment. The proposed system utilizes motorcycle specification data and user preference profiles consisting of budget, motorcycle type, engine capacity, fuel efficiency priority, luggage capacity requirement, user height, daily usage, and touring needs. Criterion weights were obtained from questionnaire responses collected from 40 respondents and normalized before being applied in the recommendation process. Recommendation results were generated by calculating the similarity between user preferences and motorcycle specifications, followed by a weighted scoring mechanism to rank available alternatives. To improve transparency, the system provides explanations regarding the factors that influence each recommendation result. System evaluation was conducted through Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT), and explainability evaluation involving 60 respondents. The Black Box Testing results showed that all system functions operated successfully with a success rate of 100%. The UAT evaluation achieved a score of 84.75%, while the explainability evaluation obtained a score of 81.50%, indicating that users positively perceived the usability, recommendation relevance, and explanation quality of the system. In addition, user satisfaction evaluation resulted in a score of 79.83%, indicating that the system is considered useful and feasible as a decision-support tool. The findings demonstrate that the integration of Weighted Content-Based Filtering and explainable recommendation features can generate personalized motorcycle recommendations while improving user understanding and trust in the recommendation process.

Abstract

Citizenship issues, particularly the naturalization of foreign nationals, remain an important challenge in Indonesia’s legal system. This study analyzes the implementation of the naturalization process under Law Number 12 of 2006 on the Citizenship of the Republic of Indonesia and identifies factors that hinder its implementation in East Nusa Tenggara Province. The research employed a normative legal method supported by empirical data using statutory, conceptual, and socio-legal approaches. Data were collected through a literature review and interviews with officials of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of East Nusa Tenggara and naturalization applicants. The findings show that the naturalization process has generally been carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions, including application submission, administrative and substantive examination, government approval, and the citizenship oath. However, implementation remains constrained by incomplete documents, identity discrepancies, limited Indonesian language proficiency, inadequate understanding of procedures, restricted technological access in remote areas, lengthy administrative verification, and delays in renouncing original citizenship. The study concludes that effective naturalization depends not only on legal regulations but also on efficient administrative services, inter-agency coordination, and public legal awareness to ensure greater legal certainty.

Abstract

Road infrastructure plays a vital role in supporting economic, social, and cultural activities. This study examines the implementation of the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government’s authority in developing the Simpang Dangka Mangkang–Benteng Jawa–Dampek road, a 50.83 km strategic route connecting three sub-districts in East Manggarai Regency. Although the road has been placed under provincial authority through Governor’s Decree No. 403/KEP/HK/2023, several sections remain severely damaged. This research employs an empirical legal (socio-legal) method with a conceptual approach. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, documentation, and the examination of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods to compare legal provisions (das Sollen) with their implementation in practice (das Sein). The findings indicate that the Provincial Government, through the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR), has carried out its responsibilities in planning, implementation, supervision, and maintenance in stages. However, these efforts have not been fully effective, as damaged road sections persist and legislative oversight remains limited due to insufficient transparency in the road status transfer process. Key challenges include budget constraints, limited technical personnel, inadequate infrastructure, difficult geographical conditions, extreme weather, and weak coordination among provincial and district governments and local communities.
