Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and increasing global competition necessitate educational adaptation to 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (4C). This study aims to analyze how innovative curriculum adaptation aligns learning content with these essential skills in several senior high schools (SMA) in Bojonegoro. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with school principals and teachers, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that schools have integrated digital technology into learning, implemented project-based learning (PBL), and conducted teacher training to enhance 21st-century skills. However, challenges such as inadequate technological facilities, varying levels of teacher readiness, and resistance to new teaching methodologies were identified. These findings suggest that innovative curriculum adaptation plays a significant role in preparing students for future challenges. Therefore, stronger support from schools, policymakers, and society is required to optimize the effectiveness of curriculum adaptation in fostering 21st-century competencies

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students' moral and religious understanding. However, the extent to which external demographic factors, such as gender and school background, influence PAI learning outcomes remains debatable. This study aims to analyze the impact of gender and school background on students' PAI learning outcomes. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing descriptive statistical analysis and Two-Way ANOVA to examine significant differences based on the studied variables. The findings indicate that neither gender nor school background significantly affects students' PAI learning outcomes. The normality test confirmed that the data followed a normal distribution, while the homogeneity test showed that the data did not have equal variance. The Two-Way ANOVA results further revealed no significant interaction effect between gender and school background on learning outcomes. These results suggest that internal factors, such as teaching methods and student engagement, have a more substantial influence on PAI learning effectiveness than demographic variables. Therefore, educators should focus on developing innovative and adaptive learning strategies to enhance PAI learning outcomes, rather than relying on external factors like gender or school environment.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity presents challenges in building tolerance between religious communities. Islamic education has an important role in fostering a tolerant attitude through a multicultural approach, which integrates the value of respect for differences in the learning process. This study aims to explore the strategy of multicultural Islamic education in fostering tolerance, identify the challenges faced, and provide strategic recommendations for the development of a more inclusive Islamic education curriculum and policy. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature review, which involves the study of literature from books, journals, articles, and academic sources related to multicultural Islamic education and tolerance. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively to identify strategies and challenges in their implementation. The results of the study show that effective strategies include the integration of multicultural values in the curriculum, teacher training to improve competence in teaching tolerance, and the use of dialogical methods that involve students and the community. Significant challenges include cultural resistance, limited educational resources, and negative perceptions of pluralism. The implications of this study are the importance of improving teacher training, developing an inclusive curriculum, and increasing public awareness of pluralism. This study provides a basis for policy makers in designing more responsive education programs, supporting the creation of a harmonious and tolerant Indonesian society.

Abstract

Students have the main task of studying and fully participating in academic and non-academic campus activities. Memorizing the Qur'an / tahfidz al-Qur'an is the process of inserting the verses of the Qur'an into the heart and mind so that they are not lost. In memorizing the Qur'an, not all memorization has the same capacity, namely being able to memorize easily and quickly. Of course, there are ways / methods for each in achieving memorization. In this case, tahfidz students or memorizers of the Qur'an who are in Islamic boarding schools have a double task, first: studying campus courses, second: memorizing the verses of the Qur'an. Self-efficacy in memorizing the Qur'an is an individual's belief in the ability to achieve goals and the ability to overcome problems or obstacles to memorizing the Qur'an. This study aims to determine the role of self-efficacy in students in memorizing the Qur'an. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, through observation and interview techniques. The conclusion of this study shows that self-efficacy affects memorization of the Qur'an in students. Memorizing the Qur'an will be achieved well through: first, individuals have self-enthusiasts so that they form behavior in completing memorization tasks. Second, individuals say they are unable due to lack of experience in successfully achieving the target of memorizing the Qur'an. In addition, the results of this study still have a gap with the theory that high self-efficacy guarantees successful memorization. While the level of memorization success is also determined by internal and external conditions.

Abstract

This study examines the role of communication among stakeholders in enhancing the quality of education at private universities (PTS) in Probolinggo. By analyzing the interactions between university leadership, faculty, students, alumni, and local government, this research explores how effective communication fosters collaboration and institutional development. A qualitative approach is employed through interviews, observations, and literature analysis to identify key factors contributing to educational quality improvement. Findings indicate that effective communication enhances student performance, institutional reputation, and graduate employability. For instance, the implementation of regular academic forums and open dialogues between university leadership and faculty has facilitated curriculum alignment with industry needs, improving the relevance of education. Additionally, alumni engagement through mentoring programs and partnerships with businesses has expanded career opportunities for graduates, demonstrating the impact of communication in building professional networks. The study also clarifies that "educational outcomes" in this context encompass student academic achievement, institutional accreditation, and the effectiveness of educational policies. Based on these findings, the research recommends establishing a more structured communication system, utilizing digital platforms to enhance stakeholder interaction, and strengthening feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous educational quality improvement. These recommendations provide valuable insights for other higher education institutions seeking to optimize communication strategies for academic and institutional advancement.
