Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan guru dan siswa dalam proses pengembangan media pembelajaran Scrapbook untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris kelas II di MI Nashrul Fajar Kota Semarang dan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kevalidan media Scrapbook yang dikembangkan untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris kelas II di MI Nashrul Fajar Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan pendekatan model Richey dan Klein. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi, angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif berdasarkan hasil angket dari guru, siswa, ahli media, dan ahli materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Scrapbook untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris kelas II di MI Nashrul Fajar Kota Semarang sangat valid untuk diujicobakan kepada siswa. Hasil validasi dari ahli media memperoleh skor 48, nilai rata-rata 4,8 dan memperoleh validitas 96%. Sedangkan untuk ahli materi (Expert) memperoleh skor 48, nilai rata-rata 4,8 dan memperoleh validitas 96%, dan ahli materi praktisi memperoleh skor 45, nilai rata-rata 4,5 dan memperoleh validitas 90%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Scrapbook pada materi Bahasa Inggris kelas II di MI Nashrul Fajar dinyatakan “sangat valid” untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran di kelas khususnya II MI Nashrul Fajar Kota Semarang.

Abstract

The cultivation of character values in students from an early age is a crucial aspect in the effort to create a generation with noble morals and a strong sense of responsibility. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through Scout extracurricular activities in elementary schools, as well as to identify the character values developed during its implementation. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included Scout leaders, teachers, and students in grades IV and V at SD Bani Saleh in Bekasi. The results of the study indicate that Scout extracurricular activities make a significant contribution to shaping students’ character. Activities such as flag ceremonies, educational games, outdoor exploration, and group work are effective in instilling values such as discipline, cooperation, responsibility, and leadership. Scout leaders play an active role in designing activities that align with the basic principles of Scouting and the values of character education. Supporting factors for successful implementation include support from the school, active student participation, and engaging, participatory methods of instruction. However, some obstacles remain, such as limited time and insufficient supporting facilities. Thus, Scout extracurricular activities in elementary schools can serve as a strategic means of supporting character education programs in a sustainable manner. This study recommends that Scouting activities continue to be developed and aligned with the needs and holistic development of students.

Abstract

Lembaga pendidikan Islam pertama, Kuttab, menggunakan kurikulum lugas yang mencakup membaca, menulis, pengembangan keterampilan, dan aktivitas fisik. Lembaga ini mendorong pengembangan karakter Islam. Program ini mencapai keseimbangan antara spiritualitas dan intelektualitas. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji kontribusi awal lembaga pendidikan Islam, khususnya Kuttab dan warisan intelektual Dinasti Umayyah, dalam membentuk fondasi pendidikan Islam yang integral antara spiritualitas dan intelektualitas. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kuttab dan lembaga pendidikan pada masa Umayyah memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk sistem pendidikan Islam yang holistik, yang relevan sebagai inspirasi bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia saat ini.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of students' concepts of IPAS subjects. This study aims to determine the differences and improvement in students' concept understanding between experimental classes using digital media based on Pop-Up Book and control classes using human digestion board media. This research uses a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is Quasi Experimental Design with the type of research Nonequivalent control group. The instrument used in this research is a test in the form of esay. The subjects in this study were grade V students. Data analysis techniques in this study used normality test, homogeneity test, t test and n-gain calculation. The test results show that the hypothesis is accepted, with the obtained t_ (count) (6.98) greater than t_table (2.02) and the calculation of n-gain shows an increase with a moderate category. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the understanding of the concept of experimental class students using digital media based on Pop-Up Book with control class using human digestion board media, and there is a difference in increasing the understanding of the concept of experimental class students using digital media based on Pop-Up Book with control class using human digestion board media.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the understanding of 5th-grade students at SD Al Hikmah Surabaya regarding the concept of ecosystems in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and analysis of learning documentation. The results indicate that students have a good grasp of biotic and abiotic components but struggle with more complex concepts such as food chains and nutrient cycles. Teachers employed various methods including lectures, group discussions, simple experiments, and visual media, which were effective in introducing basic ecosystem concepts. However, limited instructional time and less interactive learning media posed challenges in deepening student understanding. The learning process also positively contributed to raising students’ environmental awareness, encouraging them to care more about nature conservation. Therefore, this study recommends the use of more interactive and experience-based learning methods, including the integration of digital technology, to help students gain a more comprehensive and contextual understanding of ecosystems.

Abstract

Disaster mitigation education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in raising awareness and preparedness among students to face disasters. SD Negeri 2 Bawang, as one of the schools involved in this program, conducted an earthquake disaster mitigation simulation aimed at improving student preparedness. This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of disaster mitigation activities on students' understanding and preparedness. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an observational and interview approach involving the school principal, teachers, and students. The results show that the disaster simulation successfully increased student preparedness, as evidenced by their active participation in training and their ability to follow procedures quickly and accurately. The procedures taught, such as taking shelter under desks, evacuating the building in an orderly manner, and following evacuation routes, were executed well. In conclusion, the disaster mitigation program at SD Negeri 2 Bawang is effective in improving student preparedness, but it requires improved facilities and further training to expand the program to other schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan penelitian mendalam tentang strategi pembelajaran guru dalam mengajarkan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) kepada siswa slow learner di sekolah dasar inklusif. Anak slow learner memiliki karakteristik kognitif dan sosial yang unik sehingga memerlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berbeda, khususnya dalam memahami konten IPS berbasis konseptual dan naratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh guru kelas V dalam menyampaikan materi IPS kepada anak slow learner di tiga sekolah dasar inklusif di Kalimantan Tengah: SKH Negeri 1 PR, SKH Negeri 2 PR, dan SKH MC. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif diterapkan, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari guru kelas V yang telah menerapkan praktik pengajaran adaptif untuk anak slow learner. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pola strategi dan implementasi kontekstual. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan tiga strategi utama: diferensiasi konten dan penyederhanaan bahasa, pemanfaatan media visual dan alat bantu konkret, dan penguatan interaksi sosial melalui pendekatan kolaboratif. Strategi-strategi ini mendukung pemahaman konseptual, keterlibatan aktif, dan pengembangan sosial anak slow learner. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pengajaran yang responsif, kontekstual, dan inklusif dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran Ilmu Sosial sekaligus memperkuat partisipasi sosial siswa dalam komunitas kelas.

Abstract

The low level of student interest and participation in science and social science learning in elementary schools, particularly in the topic of Light and Its Properties, poses a challenge that affects the effectiveness of the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Make a Match method in increasing students' interest and participation in learning. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method focused on a single fifth-grade student from class V-B at SDN Gobang 01, who initially showed very low learning engagement. Data were collected through observations and interviews during two phases of learning, before and after the implementation of the Make a Match method. The results showed that after applying the Make a Match method, there was a significant increase in both learning interest and participation. The student’s participation improved to 64%, as reflected in their increased willingness to ask questions, answer, and actively engage in classroom discussions. The student also demonstrated greater enthusiasm toward the subject matter. It can be concluded that the Make a Match method is effective in enhancing learning interest and participation among previously passive students, particularly in science subjects at the elementary level. This study recommends that teachers adopt more interactive and participatory teaching strategies to create enjoyable learning environments and foster comprehensive student engagement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain: (1) Pesantren Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School strategy to improve human resource competence in accordance with Education Quality Standards; (2) The effect of HR Organization development on work culture at Pesantren Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School; and (3) Future perspectives for HR Organization development. This study used qualitative phenomenological methodology. Data collection methods through observation, documentation, and interviews. Research results: (1) The HR competency development strategy of Pesantren Al Wafi includes the HR development planning process, competency development programs and activities, factors that support and hinder competency development. (2) The influence of HR organization development on work culture at Pesantren Al Wafi has shown the results of knowledge, which is in the form of increasing employee understanding of what is meant by "work" (3) Perspective of organizational development HR Pesantren Al Wafi is committed to improving the quality of its human resources through organizational development. This is achieved in various ways, such as having a program of HR development activities, using a clear standard format to identify real needs for corporate development programs, and encouraging employees to self-assess their abilities and skills.
