Abstract

This article aims to describe the principal's management in implementing education management in vocational high schools. This article uses case study research with data collection from observation interviews and documentation. The informants consist of the principal, vice principal, teachers, staff, and some school members. The findings of this study are Program implementation at SMK Negeri 1 Dlanggu has a prominent position compared to other elements of the education management standard. Each program is implemented by each school community with a high level of awareness and with a predetermined division of tasks. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out based on the education management standards that have been set. School leadership at SMK Negeri 1 Dlanggu follows the education management standard. This can be seen from the hierarchical structure consisting of the Principal, Vice Principal, and Affairs Coordinator. Each member of the leadership team is aware of their respective roles and responsibilities, and they work collaboratively to improve overall school management, with the ultimate goal of achieving educational excellence. The development of the management information system shows relatively good results, although there is still room for further improvement in the utilization of resources to facilitate school administration and management.

Abstract

Building upon the aforementioned principles, SD NU Kaplongan endeavors to consistently deliver top-tier educational services, encompassing excellent facilities, quality assurance, and holistic character development. To complement these efforts, effective marketing strategies and a proficient teaching staff are essential in executing prepared initiatives. This study adopts a qualitative methodology, chosen for its compatibility with existing research and its aptness in analyzing community issues and mitigation efforts. Findings reveal that SD NU Kaplongan's marketing strategy is spearheaded by a dedicated core team responsible for community outreach and program promotion. This includes engagement with the new student admissions committee, followed by a comprehensive four-step marketing approach. The school offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs, yielding notable achievements and preparing students for enrollment in esteemed institutions such as state junior high schools and Madrasah Tasanawiyah. Moreover, promotional activities are extensively conducted through various channels, particularly leveraging social media platforms and alumni networks. Additionally, the school actively engages in community-oriented initiatives, organizing events such as competitions and religious activities to foster social cohesion and outreach.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the importance of communication management as a multidimensional approach encompassing managerial, operational, reflective, and strategic functions within organizations to ensure effective coordination, resolve communication crises, and achieve organizational goals. Focusing on the context of pluralism in Indonesia, the article explores the role of communication in maintaining social harmony through tolerance of diversity while reducing identity- and distribution-based conflicts. The novelty of this study lies in integrating communication management concepts with strategies to enhance multicultural attitudes through education, particularly in addressing globalization challenges that foster individualism and weaken social cohesion. Key findings indicate that effective communication management is crucial in promoting positive relationships within organizations and ensuring timely and accurate information delivery. This management approach boosts efficiency and productivity and fosters tolerance, conflict resolution, and social inclusion. Tolerance of diversity, including respect for differences in race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and other backgrounds, plays a vital role in creating an inclusive culture and peaceful environment. Furthermore, maintaining the unity of the ummah is essential for preventing conflicts and fostering harmony through understanding, cooperation, and respect for differences. These findings highlight the need for integrating communication management, tolerance promotion, and efforts to sustain unity to build a more stable and prosperous society. Future research is recommended to explore the application of digital technologies in supporting communication management, develop culturally based tolerance strategies, and evaluate the impact of multicultural education on social harmony.

Abstract

This study explores the potential of the Merdeka Mengajar platform in supporting teacher professional development and the integration of technology in vocational education at SMK Negeri 1 Dlanggu Mojokerto, as well as understanding teachers' perceptions and experiences in using the platform. Adopting a qualitative approach, this research investigates how the platform contributes to improving educational quality through the development of teaching skills, collaborative learning, and the use of digital resources. Findings indicate that Merdeka Mengajar facilitates access to a diverse range of learning resources, allowing teachers to enrich teaching content and adopt more interactive and innovative teaching methods, which align with the needs of the modern job market. The study also highlights challenges faced, including difficulties in integrating technology into the existing curriculum and limitations of technological infrastructure. Nonetheless, the overall perception of teachers towards this platform is positive, with many emphasizing its benefits in enhancing student engagement and enriching their learning experiences. This research underscores the importance of ongoing support and technical training for teachers to optimize the use of the platform and suggests better coordination between schools, platform managers, and teachers to overcome existing barriers. In conclusion, the Merdeka Mengajar platform offers significant opportunities to enhance the quality of vocational education through teacher professional development and technology integration. With a holistic and strategic approach, the use of this platform can be more effective, enriching students' learning experiences and preparing them with relevant skills for the future.

Abstract

This study investigates the management of local content curriculum in shaping religious behavior at MA Raden Paku Wringinanom. Specifically, the research addresses three key questions: (1) How is the local content curriculum planned to foster religious behavior at MA Raden Paku Wringinanom? (2) How is the local content curriculum implemented to shape religious behavior at MA Raden Paku Wringinanom? (3) What are the outcomes of the local content curriculum in fostering religious behavior at MA Raden Paku Wringinanom? The objectives of this study are to: (1) examine the planning of the local content curriculum, (2) explore the implementation process, and (3) analyze the outcomes in shaping religious behavior at MA Raden Paku Wringinanom. This research employs a qualitative method with descriptive analysis, utilizing an interactive model. The data analysis involves stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. After collecting and categorizing the data, the researcher provides an in-depth description before concluding the findings based on available sources. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The planning of the local content curriculum involves adherence to the School Work Plan (RKT) and the Madrasah Work Plan and Budget (RKAM) to define local content programs, select subjects, assign teachers, and determine learning resources and funding. (2) The implementation phase includes syllabus review, lesson plan (RPP) development, and assessment. (3) The outcomes of the local content curriculum include program-specific local content initiatives and the evaluation of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article highlights the critical role of leadership in shaping the quality of education and human resources within Islamic boarding schools, which face challenges in adapting to modern management standards and ensuring sustainable development. This research addresses the low quality and loyalty of human resources and the management system in Islamic boarding schools, particularly through the charismatic leadership of caregivers at Muhammadiyah Darul Arqom Karanganyar Islamic Boarding School. This article gathers primary data from in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school managers, students, and alums and secondary data from relevant literature. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation studies.The findings reveal that caregivers must integrate various leadership styles, with charismatic abilities as a distinctive identity that significantly influences human resource elements. Motivation for subordinates, educators, and students should be carried out effectively through person-to-person, group-to-group, and collaborative approaches. The study concludes that improving the quality of education at Pesantren Muhammadiyah Darul Arqom Karanganyar involves transformational leadership patterns focused on enhancing human resource capabilities by encouraging mindset shifts, motivating, and providing development opportunities through training, workshops, and seminars. Future research should explore the impact of digital tools and technology on leadership effectiveness in Islamic boarding schools and examine strategies for fostering global competitiveness among human resources in similar educational institutions.

Abstract

This research explores how Islamic boarding schools are implementing and responding to the modern education system introduced by the Government through the equalization policy (mu'ilah). Considering the vast amount of existing research, a review is necessary to categorize the literature, ensuring the information is clearly and easily understood. The paper applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, focusing on public policy implementation studies from 2019 to 2023. The SLR process includes defining Research Questions (R.Q.), setting Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria, and conducting Quality Assessments (QA). The findings reveal that the Mujadi diploma policy has been aligned with the Government's formal school diploma. Islamic boarding schools issuing Mujadi diplomas are referred to as Islamic Boarding Schools, specifically those that run Muilah Education Units (SPM). Based on both the supporting and inhibiting factors identified from various sources, the Mujadi policy has proven to be effective in its implementation within the Mujadi Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The improvement of learning administration services at the Madrasah is strongly influenced by managerial supervision from the madrasah head and the head of the administration, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. This study aims to describe the role of managerial supervision in improving learning administration services at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 03 Kepahiang. This research focuses on how the school principal and head of administration implement supervision to enhance the quality of administration, including program planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with research subjects including the principal, deputy principal for curriculum, head of administration, and several teachers. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings of the study indicate that the managerial supervision carried out by the principal and head of administration at MIN 03 Kepahiang has successfully improved the quality of learning administration services. The structured supervision program helped assess and develop the performance of learning administration services. The school principal carried out supervision effectively, contributing to an overall improvement in the quality of education. This study recommends that the school principal continue to enhance ongoing supervision and provide training for administrative staff to strengthen the planning and organizing of learning programs more effectively.

Abstract

The school must also be able to maintain and care for the existing facilities and infrastructure. Thus, students can learn optimally and effectively thanks to school facilities and infrastructure. The aims of this study were (1) to describe how the Planning of Educational Facilities and Infrastructure at M.I.S. Guppi 13 Tasikmalaya, (2) to describe how the Procurement of Educational Facilities and Infrastructure at M.I.S. Guppi 13 Tasikmalaya, (3) to describe how the Maintenance of Facilities and Infrastructure Education at M.I.S. Guppi 13 Tasikmalaya, (4) to describe how efforts to improve the management of educational facilities and infrastructure should be carried out in the future. The method used is field research (field research), which uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This study has three data analysis steps: reduction, presentation of data (display data), and conclusion (Verification). The research results show several conclusions, one of which is that M.I.S. Guppi 13 Tasikmalaya focuses on the administration, provision, usage, and upkeep of educational infrastructure. However, the implementation may be improved even though infrastructure and educational facilities are crucial for supporting teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The challenges faced by educational institutions in improving the quality of education and human resources require effective leadership strategies. This research focuses on the efforts of the principal at MTs Nurul Hidayah Tegalsiwalan Probolinggo to address issues related to curriculum objectives, teaching staff, methodologies, facilities, and evaluations. The study explores how the principal's leadership enhances teacher professionalism, facilities, learning quality, and student achievement. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to provide an in-depth analysis of the principal's leadership role. Data collection included interviews, observations, and documentation, with humans as the primary research instrument. Following Denzin and Lincoln's framework, the study was conducted naturally to interpret phenomena through descriptive data and inductive analysis. The findings indicate that the principal effectively fulfils multiple roles—educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator—while demonstrating a charismatic and authoritative leadership style, strong managerial skills, effective communication, and a flexible approach. Supporting factors include leadership qualities and collaboration while inhibiting factors involve inadequate facilities, limited institutional support, and insufficient managerial training. The study recommends prioritizing leadership development programs, enhanced resource allocation, and infrastructure improvements to overcome barriers. Future research should investigate technology integration in leadership practices and strategies for fostering sustainable educational quality in similar contexts.
