Abstract

Public economic policy is an important instrument the government uses to regulate the economy to achieve social welfare goals. Public economic problems are problems of fulfilling the needs and welfare of the community. Related to the government's large role in ensuring welfare achievement, this study aims to analyze the impact of public economic policies on macroeconomic stability and the distribution of public welfare. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study data collection technique. Literature studies enrich research literature so that conclusions can be drawn by reading articles in journals, books, and other media as reference sources. The success of public economic policies is highly dependent on effective planning, implementation, and supervision that is responsive to the socio-economic conditions of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and effectiveness of empowering persons with disabilities through inclusive entrepreneurship within the MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) sector in Indonesia, particularly in the provinces of Banten and West Java. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving 10 MSMEs that employ persons with disabilities, 6 individuals with disabilities, and 4 supporting organizations (NGOs/communities). The findings indicate that inclusive entrepreneurship is implemented through adaptive work access, skills training, and the strengthening of social networks. MSMEs play a strategic role as agents of social empowermentnot only by providing employment opportunities, but also by increasing the social participation of persons with disabilities. Key enabling factors include inclusive leadership from business owners, engagement from local communities, and the use of digital technology for product marketing. However, significant challenges persist, such as social stigma, limited access to business capital, and the lack of effective implementation of affirmative policies. These findings highlight the importance of collaboration among business sectors, government institutions, and civil society to build an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. The study recommends the formulation of incentive policies for inclusive MSMEs, strengthening of adaptive skills training for persons with disabilities, and the establishment of sustainable public-community partnership networks. With a systemic and community-based approach, inclusive entrepreneurship can serve as an effective instrument for promoting equitable, participatory, and sustainable socio-economic development in Indonesia.

Abstract

As a metropolitan city, Surabaya has to deal with greenhouse gas emissions that come from the transportation sector, which is about 52% of the total. So, the Suroboyo Electric Bus is supposed to be an eco-friendly solution. But, there are still some issues, like not enough bus stops, charging takes a long time, and indirect emissions from the power source. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method to analyze sustainable transportation governance based on ten principles according to Tamin (2007). The results indicate that most principles have been implemented, though not optimally. Regarding the principles of accessibility and social justice, bus stops are still unsafe, and seat classifications are not used as intended. The principles of environment, health, and safety are reflected in reduced air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, but seatbelt usage remains low. Public participation is quite active, but information transparency has not reached all segments of society. The economic principle is reflected in affordable fares and energy cost efficiency, but ticket integration is not yet comprehensive. The information and analysis principle shows openness to aspirations, but there has been no follow-up publication, including on NGO advocacy. Capacity building has been conducted for staff, but public education remains limited. A network among stakeholders has been established, but coordination regarding departure schedule and charging remains a challenge. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation is needed to support the realization of an inclusive, efficient, and sustainable transportation system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze bilingual learning at the elementary school level and to see students' responses to the method. Bilingual learning that integrates Indonesian and English is increasingly being applied in order to face global demands, but its implementation still faces various challenges, especially related to students' understanding of foreign languages. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzed two bilingual learning videos used in two different elementary schools. The results of the analysis showed that students' responses were greatly influenced by the proportion of language use in the video. In classes dominated by Indonesian, students showed high active responses, such as answering questions and engaging in discussions. Meanwhile, in classes dominated by English, student engagement was lower and most students appeared passive. These findings emphasize the importance of balancing language use in bilingual learning so that students can understand the material well and feel confident to participate.

Abstract

The availability of campus facilities is one of the aspects that is believed to support student learning activities. However, the extent to which these facilities affect learning motivation still needs to be further researched. This study aims to determine the effect of the availability of campus facilities on the learning motivation of students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) UIN Jakarta. A quantitative approach was used in this study with a survey method of 27 respondents. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability before data analysis was carried out. Of the nine items on the campus facility variable, only five items were valid and used in the subsequent analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that both the availability of facilities and learning motivation were in the medium category. A simple regression test showed a determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.032, which means that only 3.2% of the variation in learning motivation can be explained by campus facilities. In addition, the results of the t-test showed that campus facilities did not have a significant effect on student learning motivation (p > 0.05). Although the direction of the relationship is positive, the influence is not statistically strong enough. These findings indicate that increasing student learning motivation cannot depend solely on campus facilities, but needs to involve other factors such as academic support, learning strategies, and psychological aspects of students. This research contributes to understanding the factors that influence learning motivation and recommends further studies with a wider scope.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media pembelajaran bilingual dan menganalisis efektivitasnya dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran bilingual dapat membantu peserta didik memahami materi dengan lebih baik, serta dapat meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Inggris peserta didik. Selain itu, penggunaan bahasa dalam media pembelajaran serta desain media seperti warna, tata letak, dan interaktivitas berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study discusses aspects of consumer protection from the perspective of Islamic economic law as an integral part of the principles of justice and maqasid al-syari'ah, especially hifz al-mal and hifz al-nafs. This study was conducted through a qualitative approach with a literature study method on classical and contemporary literature, such as the works of Wahbah al-Zuhayli, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, and positive regulations such as Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. The results of the study show that Islam has previously regulated the principles of consumer protection through the prohibition of gharar, ghish, and the obligation of transparency in contracts. These values are in line with positive law, although national law tends not to adopt the Islamic ethical-spiritual framework as a whole. Therefore, synergy is needed between state regulations and Islamic principles in building a fair and civilized consumer protection system. This study is expected to be a conceptual contribution in building Islamic economic law that is responsive to the needs of modern society.

Abstract

The use of warm liquids to prevent and treat the occurrence of shivering has been scientifically proven to be effective. The purpose of this study is to find out the overview of giving warm infusions to shivering patients after spinal anesthesia at the special regional hospital for Mother and Child of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government. First, the researcher collected data using an observation sheet. The next step, all the data obtained from the observation sheet is input in excel. The data input is in the form of data on age, gender, body temperature, BMI, type of warm infusion fluid, temperature of warm infusion fluid, and degree of shivering incidence. The results showed that: The characteristics of the respondents in this study were the age category in early adulthood (26-35 years) as many as 13 people (39.4%), the majority gender of women as many as 26 people (78.8%), the body temperature of patients in the hypotermic category as many as 21 people (63.6%) and the BMI of respondents in the normal category as many as 15 people (45.5%). The type of intravenous fluid used in post-spinal anesthesia shivering patients used crystalloid fluid as many as 25 people (75.8%). The temperature of warm infusion fluid in the mild warm temperature category (37 oC) was 19 people (57.6%). Patients experienced shivering events in grade 16 as many as 16 people (48.5%) and as many as 13 people (39.4%) experienced shivering events in grade 2.

Abstract

Human development is a crucial foundation for a country's progress, with the Human Development Index (HDI) as its main benchmark. Lampung Province faces challenges in the form of HDI achievements below the national average and the existence of development inequality between regions. This study aims to analyze the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Life Expectancy (UHH), Average Years of Schooling (RLS), and Expenditure per Capita (PP) on HDI in Lampung Province. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis on secondary data from 15 districts/cities in Lampung during the period 2020-2024. The results of the analysis show that the regression model involving the four independent variables is significantly better than the simpler model. The F-test (simultaneous) and t-test (partial) prove that GRDP, RLS, UHH, and PP together and individually have a significant influence on HDI at the 5% significance level. The model also proved to be valid and robust after fulfilling all classical assumption tests, namely residual normality, homoscedasticity, non-autocorrelation, and non-multicollinearity, resulting in the Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE) model. With an Adjusted R-squared value of 0.9925, this model shows a very high ability to explain variations in HDI. Interpretation of the model shows that Average Years of Schooling (AOLS) has the largest positive influence on HDI improvement.

Abstract

Academic problems such as procrastination, learning burnout, and low student motivation have become major challenges in modern education. The urgency to understand and address these issues effectively highlights the importance of applying learning psychology theories within guidance and counseling services. This study aims to examine the utilization of learning psychology theories in addressing academic problems through a literature review of scholarly articles, academic books, and recent research reports. A qualitative approach was employed, using document analysis and thematic content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that behaviorist and cognitive theories have been partially applied, but are not yet fully integrated into practices in schools. This study offers a conceptual contribution by reinforcing theoretical approaches in academic counseling practices. The results imply the need for theory-based training for school counselors and suggest further in-depth field research to enhance practical application.
