Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career opportunity and job involvement on employee performance at Bank Muamalat KC Semarang Raya. The sample consisted of 41 employees selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SmartPLS version 4.0. The results show that career opportunity has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance, while job involvement has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, career opportunities and job involvement have a significant influence on employee performance. Based on the coefficient of determination test, 58% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 42% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings indicate that job involvement is a key factor that directly drives performance improvement. Meanwhile, the perception of career opportunities does not yet have a significant impact, suggesting a need to reassess the effectiveness of the organization’s career development system.

Abstract

HMG-CoA Reductase is a primary target in hypercholesterolemia therapy due to its role in cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver. This study aims to review the potential of natural substances, microbes, and in silico approaches in identifying HMG-CoA Reductase inhibitor compounds. The review was conducted on 10 national and international journals using methods such as molecular docking, enzymatic activity analysis, in silico toxicity validation, and epidemiological studies. The results show various compounds from plants such as Piper crocatum, Allium sativum, Syzygium polyanthum, as well as fermented products like Lactobacillus acidophilus have high potential as inhibitors of this enzyme. Combination therapy, modification of statin compounds, and educational approaches for patients also contribute to the effectiveness of cholesterol therapy.

This study aims to examine the influence of financial experience, educational level, and accounting comprehension on the preparation of financial statements of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on SAK EMKM (Financial Accounting Standards for MSMEs) in the city of Medan. The research employed a quantitative approach with 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that financial experience and accounting comprehension have a positive and significant influence on the preparation of financial statements. Educational level also has a significant influence, though to a lesser extent. Simultaneously, all three variables significantly affect the quality and compliance of MSME financial reporting with SAK EMKM standards. These findings suggest that enhancing MSME actors’ financial experience and accounting knowledge, supported by an adequate educational background, can improve their ability to produce standardized, accurate, and reliable financial reports.

Abstract

Over the past two decades, decentralization has emerged as a primary strategy in governance reform across various countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of decentralization within the framework of a unitary state by examining its concepts, implementation models, and impacts on local government performance through a systematic literature review and cross country comparison. By analyzing practices in Indonesia, the Philippines, South Africa, and India, the study finds that the success of decentralization is highly dependent on the alignment between institutional design, fiscal and administrative capacity, and the structure of intergovernmental relations. Indonesia has adopted a controlled asymmetric decentralization model that has succeeded in fostering local innovation but continues to face challenges in coordination and fiscal disparities. The study proposes a new analytical framework that integrates institutional and performance based governance approaches, and emphasizes the importance of fiscal reform, adaptive institutional design, and digital transformation. The main contribution of this study lies in strengthening theoretical discourse and formulating decentralization policy recommendations that are more responsive to local dynamics and future challenges.
