Abstract

This study aims to determine the cognitive learning outcome of the visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning model on eleventh-grade social studies students' in disaster mitigation material at SMA Negeri 1 Jakarta during 2022/2023 academic year. Using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest & posttest control group design, the sample population selected through cluster random sampling, comprises 33 students in control group and 35 students in experimental group. The research instrument consists of 20 items multiple-choice test. The results shows that students learning with the visual, auditory, kinesthetic approach improved significantly, from 57.28 to 77—an increase of 19.71. Meanwhile, those with a cooperative learning method saw a smaller increase, from 57.12 to 64.55—an increase of 7.42. The Independent Sample t Test produced a Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.001, rejecting null hypothesis and accepting alternative hypothesis. In conclusion, implementing Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic model positively impacts students' learning outcomes in disaster mitigation material.

Abstract

Literacy is an important skill that every individual must have to function well in a social environment and face the challenges of the era of globalization. This article discusses the role of the Tambak Bayan Creative House in increasing human literacy, especially among children in Saentis Village. These creative at-home activities, such as role playing with dolls, provide positive benefits for children's development, including the development of emotional maturity, empathy, communication and problem-solving skills. Involving the community in creative work at the Tambak Bayan Creative House also provides significant benefits, such as increasing the sense of responsibility, pride and empowerment among community members. Apart from that, this activity also stimulates new interests and potential among community members. The research methods used are survey, interview, observation and documentation methods which are carried out by collecting data through questionnaires or respondent interviews. Thus, the Tambak Bayan Creative House has a significant role in increasing human literacy and community creativity, and has the potential to become an effective and inclusive learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the SAS (Synthetic- Structural Analytical) Learning Method on the literacy skills of the second graders of SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency. This research is research Pre- Experimentby Design One Group Pretest and Posttest. The population in this study were all second graders in SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency, with a sample of second graders, totaling 12 students. The data collection instruments used in this study were observation and tests Performance. The data analysis technique consists of four stages, namely the stages of validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the instrument validity test were obtained with an average of 83.75. The results of the reliability test of the instrument items obtained the data Pretest of 0.823 and Posttest 0.683. From the analysis test, the normality test is obtained Shapiro-wilk from the pretest data 0.839 > 0.05 and posttest 0.187 > 0.05, then normal data is obtained from these data. From the analysis of hypothesis testing, it is obtained a sig value (2 tailed) of 0.000 <0.005, then H1 accepted and H0 was rejected, which means that the SAS learning method had an effect on the initial literacy skills of second graders at SD YPK Inamo, Sorong Regency.

Abstract

A course of learning requires appropriate learning media to make it easier for students to achieve abilities. For this reason, this research was conducted with the aim of testing and analyzing the use of learning media in the form of macromedia flash and graphic design in animation courses. The end result leads to an increase in student creativity. This study utilized a quantitative approach with data obtained from a questionnaire technique containing some information about the research being conducted. Then the results will be analyzed with multiple linear regression to find out which media has more influence on increasing their creativity. The results show that the use of macromedia flash media has a more positive effect on increasing student creativity in animation courses compared to the use of graphic design. While the use of graphic design has no influence on student creativity. But simultaneously or combined have the effect of increasing their creativity. While the final result is 71% capable of influencing student creativity and the remaining 29% is influenced by other factors. For this reason, overall the selection of the right learning media will provide an increase in the creative abilities of students at SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Serang.

Abstract

The Influence of Interest and Self-directed Learning on Understanding Biology Concepts. The aim of this study is to determine: 1) The combined influence of interest and self-directed learning on the understanding of Biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. 2) The influence of interest in learning on the understanding of Biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. 3) The influence of self-directed learning on the understanding of Biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. The research method used is correlational survey with multiple regression analysis. The sample used in this study consisted of 62 students from State Senior High Schools 31, 22, and 36. The results of the study concluded that 1) There is a significant combined influence of interest and self-directed learning on the understanding of biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the significance value (sig.) = 0.004 < 0.05 and F-value = 6.012. 2) There is a significant influence of interest in learning on the understanding of Biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the significance value (sig.) = 0.019 < 0.05 and t-value = 2.420. 3) There is a significant influence of self-directed learning on the understanding of Biology concepts among high school students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the significance value (sig.) = 0.035 < 0.05 and t-value = 2.163.

Abstract

Increasing student learning achievement is influenced by the quality of the learning process in the classroom. Therefore, the learning process will run well if it is supported by teachers who have high competence. This research aims to reveal: 1. Description of teachers' pedagogical competence, 2. Description of the learning environment, 3. Description of students' learning motivation, 4. Significant influence of teachers' pedagogical competence on students' learning motivation, 5. Significant influence of the learning environment on participants' learning motivation students and 6. The significant influence of teacher pedagogical competence and the learning environment on students' learning motivation at SMPN 5 Lembang Jaya. This research uses ex post facto quantitative research methods. The population of this study was 95 people, using random sampling techniques referring to the Slovin formula, a sample of 77 people was obtained. Data collection instruments used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The research results revealed that: (1) The description of teachers' pedagogical competence was categorized as good at 81.87%, (2) The description of the learning environment was categorized as good at 69.64%, (3). The description of students' learning motivation is categorized as high at 72.74%, (4) there is a significant influence between teacher pedagogical competence on students' learning motivation at 56%, (5) there is an insignificant influence of the learning environment on students' learning motivation at 29 %, and (6) there is a significant influence between teacher pedagogical competence and the learning environment on the learning motivation of students at SMPN 5 Lembang Jaya together at 57%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difference in cognitive learning outcomes of tenth-grade geography students using Kahoot! and PowerPoint learning media at SMAN 113 Jakarta. The research adopts a quantitative design employing a quasi-experimental method with Pre-test and Post-test. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling, where samples were chosen based on specific considerations and criteria, such as the average scores of the first-semester PAS (School-Based Assessment) with an equal number of students. The samples used in this study were Class X-2 as the experimental group using Kahoot! learning media and Class X-1 as the control group using PowerPoint learning media. Data analysis techniques included instrument testing, analysis of prerequisite tests, N-Gain tests, and hypothesis testing. The test results indicated that the instruments were valid and reliable, and the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The test of two means (Independent Sample T-test) showed that the Post-test results of the experimental and control groups obtained a significant level of 0.003, meaning that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted as it met the testing criteria, i.e., Sig. < 0.05. This indicates that there is a difference in cognitive learning outcomes among students using Kahoot! and PowerPoint media during the geography learning process. This difference can be observed from the increase in the Post-test scores of the experimental group by 31% and the control group by 21%, supported by N-Gain test data showing the effectiveness percentage of Kahoot! media at 60% (sufficiently effective) and PowerPoint media at 39.5% (ineffective).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out: Develop DARTs-based student worksheets to improve student Biology learning outcomes. The method used in this research is research and development which follows the steps of the Borg & Gall method and refers to previously established procedures. The LKPD developed was assessed by several experts in their respective fields, namely Biology experts, learning methods experts and language experts. The results of the research and development concluded: 1) The results of developing student worksheets (LKPD) based on DARTs were developed using several steps, and also tested the validity of three experts, namely Biology experts who gave a percentage of 89.58%, learning methods experts who gave a percentage of 87. .5% and language experts gave a percentage of 87.5%. This shows that the DARTs-based LKPD is valid and suitable for use for biology learning.

Abstract

The utilization of technology in education has become crucial in enhancing the effectiveness of learning. One platform that can be utilized is Canva, a user-friendly graphic design tool widely used by users in various fields. This research aims to examine the potential utilization of Canva as a learning resource for students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). The methods employed include literature review and direct observation in related pesantren. The results of community service show that Canva can be effectively used as a means to create visually engaging and interactive learning materials. In its development, a clear problem-solving framework, involvement of relevant target groups, and evaluation of results and discussions are required. In conclusion, the utilization of Canva in learning at pesantren can enhance students' motivation and interest, provide variation in the use of learning resources, and facilitate accessibility of learning materials. Further suggestions include conducting more studies on the effectiveness of Canva usage in pesantren learning and developing more specific guidelines for educational purposes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study (1) to find out the description of the implementation of the genogram technique on the career decisions of students in Prodi BPI IAIN Bone(2) to find out the description of the career decisions of students at Prodi BPI IAIN Bone(3) to test whether the use of the genogram technique can improve the career decisions of class students at prodi BPI IAIN Bone. This research approach is a quantitative approach using a quasi experimental design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design, on 20 samples. Data collection techniques, namely: the scale of career decisions, observation, and interviews. Data analysis used descriptive analysis of non-parametric Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Research results are (1) The description of the implementation of the genogram technique on career decisions before the administration of the genogram technique is in the low category and after the use of the genogram technique is in the high category Prodi BPI IAIN BoneCity (2) The implementation of the career decisions of students in Prodi BPI IAIN Bone increases after the use of the genogram technique . (3) The use of genogram techniques can improve student career decisions in Prodi BPI IAIN Bone.
