Abstract

This study explores strategies to enhance human resource (HR) performance at the Water Resources and Construction Development Agency (SDABK) of West Sumatra Province, in response to declining employee numbers, unmet performance targets, and low public satisfaction. Guided by Noe et al.’s (2024) framework—covering goal-setting, feedback, work environment, recognition, and continuous development—the research adopts a qualitative, descriptive approach using interviews, documentation, and triangulation for data validation. Findings reveal that while the agency has successfully fostered a supportive work environment and implemented recognition systems, key areas such as clear goal-setting, constructive feedback, and ongoing training remain underdeveloped. Challenges include organizational resistance to change, limited budgets, reduced technical staff, and external factors like natural disasters. These obstacles reflect deeper structural, technical, and cultural issues. The study underscores the importance of strategic HR management in improving public sector performance. By addressing existing gaps, the SDABK has the potential to enhance service quality and contribute more effectively to regional infrastructure development.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education demands school principals to act as visionary, adaptive, and transformative digital leaders. Their role extends beyond providing infrastructure—it involves integrating technology into school management and the learning process. This study systematically examines the principal’s role as a digital leader in educational institutions and identifies existing research gaps. Using a literature review method, this study analyzes scholarly articles indexed in SINTA 1, Scopus, WoS, Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Copernicus, and EBSCO from the past ten years. Inclusion criteria focused on digital leadership, educational leadership, and the role of principals. Thematic analysis revealed that digital leadership significantly enhances teaching quality, teachers’ digital literacy, and the development of a technology-driven school culture. Principals who embrace digital leadership foster innovation, collaboration, and more efficient resource management. However, challenges remain, including policy sustainability, teacher resistance to technology, digital access disparities, and limited research on digital ethics and security. The findings highlight the need for a supportive ecosystem involving government, educators, parents, and communities. This study recommends sustained digital leadership training, inclusive policymaking, and further exploration of the long-term impact of digital leadership on educational equity.

Abstract

The research conducted has the aim of examining the influence of Leadership Style, Competence, and Job Stress on Employee Performance and using job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research includes the type of explanatory research, by distributing questionnaires in the form of open and closed questions to employees of Bank Muamalat Semarang as many as 60 people. And included in quantitative research.  The analysis technique used in this research is Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS approach. The sampling method uses the census method. The results of this study indicate that job satisfaction can mediate the relationship between leadership and employee performance with a P-value of 0.004 < 0.10. In addition, job satisfaction also significantly mediates the relationship between job stress and employee performance with a P-value of 0.001 < 0.10. Meanwhile, the competency variable cannot be mediated by job satisfaction, due to the lack of a direct influence between the competency variable and job satisfaction with a P-value of 0.584 > 0.10.

Abstract

This study explores the strategies of internalizing Islamic Education (PAI) values in shaping students’ disciplinary character. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through structured interviews with the principal, student counseling teacher, and vice principal for student affairs, complemented by direct observations and documentation. The findings indicate that discipline is cultivated through three main strategies: (1) habituation of positive character practices such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, and daily courtesy routines; (2) teacher and staff role modeling, where educators serve as living examples of punctuality, honesty, and responsibility; and (3) consistent enforcement of school regulations linked to Islamic values. In addition, counseling strategies were applied through preventive, curative, and educative approaches, supported by collaboration with parents to ensure continuity at home. The study concludes that discipline is most effectively developed when Islamic values are internalized not as external obligations but as intrinsic aspects of students’ faith and behavior. The implications extend to educational management, highlighting the need for systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation of character education programs. By integrating pedagogical practices with management strategies, schools can foster sustainable discipline that contributes to producing responsible, ethical, and faith-driven future generations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) in Indonesia has promoted a shift toward a cashless society, yet adoption remains uneven, particularly in semi-urban areas like Sumbawa Regency. This study examines the influence of Financial Technology Adoption (X1), Digital Financial Literacy (X2), and Data Security (X3) on Interest in Using OVO (Y). Using a quantitative survey method, data were collected from 100 purposively selected OVO users in Sumbawa. Multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25 revealed that all three variables—FinTech Adoption (t=3.647), Digital Financial Literacy (t=4.100), and Data Security (t=4.103)—have a positive and significant partial effect on interest in using OVO (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). Together, they explain 62.1% of the variance in user interest (Adjusted R² = 0.621). These findings highlight that user interest is shaped not only by technology availability but also by digital literacy and perceived data security. For regions like Sumbawa, accelerating digital financial inclusion requires a holistic approach that combines education, trust-building, and innovation.

Abstract

The level of OCB among teachers tends to vary, even though every institution expects all teachers to exhibit high OCB. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), both directly and through the mediation of job satisfaction. The independent variables in this study are transformational leadership and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction acts as the mediating variable, while OCB is the dependent variable. All teachers were included as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with Smart PLS 4.0. The results show that transformational leadership has no significant effect on OCB, while organizational commitment has a significant effect on OCB. Furthermore, both transformational leadership and organizational commitment have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also has a significant effect on OCB. In this case, job satisfaction is proven to be able to mediate the influence of transformational leadership and organizational commitment on OCB.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of educational attainment and work tenure on employee performance within the public sector, specifically at the Sumbergempol District Office in Tulungagung, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative, non-experimental research design, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 36 employees, constituting a population study. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression techniques to determine the relationship between the independent variables—education level and length of service—and employee performance. The results reveal a significant positive correlation: employees with higher educational qualifications and longer work experience tend to demonstrate superior performance. These findings highlight the critical role of human capital development in enhancing organizational effectiveness. From a managerial perspective, the study underscores the importance of strategic investment in employee education and long-term career development. Public institutions, in particular, can benefit from aligning HR practices with policies that promote continuous learning and retention of experienced personnel. Enhancing both educational qualifications and job experience is not only beneficial for individual growth but also vital for improving overall public service delivery.

Abstract

This study explores how advertising and product bundling influence smartphone purchase intention at Art Celluler, both directly and indirectly through customer attitude. Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling, data were gathered from 100 respondents via offline questionnaires. Analysis was conducted with Structural Equation Modeling  using the Partial Least Square method in SmartPLS 4. Results reveal that advertising significantly drives purchase intention directly, but does not shape customer attitudes. In contrast, product bundling has a strong impact on both customer attitude and purchase intention. Interestingly, customer attitude itself does not significantly influence purchase intention, and the mediating role of attitude was found to be insignificant for both advertising and bundling. These findings highlight the strategic value of direct advertising in prompting immediate consumer action, while product bundling emerges as a dual-force strategy—enhancing perception and driving sales. For marketing managers, this suggests prioritizing clear, compelling promotions and bundling offers rather than relying solely on attitude-shaping campaigns. Firms in competitive retail environments can optimize their promotional mix by focusing on tangible value propositions that directly convert interest into action.

Abstract

Education is undergoing continuous transformation in response to rapid advancements in science, technology, and the dynamic demands of globalization. Within the context of the digital era and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, educational systems are expected to become increasingly adaptive and innovative. One of the central strategies in this transformation is the adoption of an innovation-based curriculum, which emphasizes interactive, flexible, and technology-driven approaches to learning. However, the implementation of such curricula is not without challenges. Key issues include unequal access to technology, the rising academic workload experienced by students, and the insufficient preparedness of teachers in adopting new pedagogical methods. Schools in rural or underdeveloped regions, for example, often face significant barriers due to limited infrastructure, while students are required to adapt to more independent and demanding learning processes. Moreover, teachers frequently lack adequate training, which hampers the effective application of innovative teaching strategies. To ensure sustainable benefits, the innovation-based curriculum must be introduced with careful planning, comprehensive teacher development, and equitable access to resources. Without such considerations, innovation risks becoming a burden for both students and educators rather than a genuine driver of educational improvement.

Abstract

This study explores teacher work resilience within the framework of emotional management grounded in pesantren local wisdom at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed with the Miles & Huberman model. The findings reveal four key dimensions strengthening teachers’ resilience. First, individual emotional management is enhanced through self-awareness training, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques, enabling teachers to regulate emotions and foster conducive classroom environments. Second, pesantren values—such as dzikir, sholawat, and the exemplary guidance of kiai—nurture emotional stability, sincere motivation, and a religious work culture. Third, social and organizational support, reflected in halaqah, empathetic leadership, and the tradition of musyawarah, cultivates a harmonious work climate, reduces psychological burden, and reinforces solidarity. Fourth, professional competence development through problem-solving skills and proportional workload management improves both teaching quality and teacher well-being. This study concludes that teacher resilience in pesantren-based madrasahs emerges from the synergy of emotional management, local wisdom, social-organizational support, and professional competence. These findings provide theoretical contributions and practical implications for teacher development in faith-based educational institutions.
