Abstract

Companies operating in the plantation sector, as one of the strategic sectors in Indonesia's economy, are required to maximize company value. Company value can be influenced by company size, leverage, and profitability. This study aims to examine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The research methodology used in this study is quantitative. The population in this study consists of 24 companies in the agriculture sector. The sample selection used purposive sampling, resulting in 10 companies. The data analysis method employed is multiple linear regression, including classical assumption tests, regression tests, and hypothesis testing. The results show that company size has a partial effect on company value with a t-value of (4.652 > 2.055). The results also indicate that leverage has a partial effect on company value with a t-value of (4.642 > 2.055). Similarly, profitability has a partial effect on company value with a t-value of (2.527 > 2.055). Simultaneously, company size, leverage, and profitability have a positive and significant effect on company value with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Additionally, based on the coefficient of determination test, the variables of company size, leverage, and profitability are able to explain 75.6% of the variation in company value, while 24.4% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This study discusses Scholastic Philosophy as one of the main intellectual legacies of the Middle Ages (5th to early 17th centuries) and its contribution to the philosophical tradition and the Western educational system. Scholastic Philosophy is an approach that integrates philosophical logic with theology, where major figures such as Thomas Aquinas, Anselm, and Albertus Magnus attempted to harmonize religious doctrine with rationality. Scholastic educational methods, such as disputatio (structured debate) and lectio (reading and commenting on texts), became the core of learning at major universities such as Paris, Oxford, and Bologna. In addition, the Middle Ages were also marked by the great influence of Islamic civilization which was at the peak of its intellectual glory. Muslim scholars such as Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, and Ibn Rushd not only maintained and developed the Greek philosophical tradition but also transmitted this knowledge to Europe, which ultimately influenced Scholastic Philosophy. This study aims to explore how Scholastic Philosophy plays a role in shaping the Western intellectual tradition through education and philosophy, and its relevance in integrating faith and reason. This study shows that the educational elements in Scholasticism contribute significantly to training the ability to think logically and systematically, which is the basis of the modern intellectual tradition.

This research discusses the management of scouting education at the scout junior level using the literature review research method. The scout junior level refers to scouts aged 11 to 15 years, who play an important role in shaping the character of the youth through structured and tiered activities. The management of scouting education at this level includes the organization of patrols, the implementation of the scout code of honor, and various activities such as jamborees, competition events, patrol leader training, and exploration. Literature studies show that scouting methods, including group-based activities, cooperation, and competition, are effective in developing leadership skills, teamwork, and independence. Abstract

This curriculum change encourages a shift in the paradigm of curriculum and learning. It strengthens the independence of teachers as the main controllers in the learning process, loosens overly rigid standard controls, and demands a homogeneous learning process across all educational units in Indonesia, while enhancing student agency. The aim of this research is to explore how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum affects Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning, as well as the quality of the Merdeka Curriculum in IRE learning in Class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam, it can be concluded that there are two curricula applied: the Merdeka Curriculum for Classes VII and VIII, and the 2013 Curriculum for Class IX.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the conditions, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors of the implementation of pantun in youth fostered by LAM in Riau Islands Province in Tanjungpinang City. The study used a qualitative method with the research subjects being youth fostered by LAM. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data were obtained from the youth division of LAM and secondary data from LAM administrators and the Tanjungpinang City Cultural Office. The results of the study showed that youth fostered by LAM had understood the system of making good and correct pantun. They were also able to interact using pantun, although it took time to put it together. The success of the development was supported by the active role of the government and LAM administrators in preserving pantun. However, there were obstacles in the form of financial limitations, low abilities, and lack of interest from youth in participating in development. Abstract

The Value Clarification Technique (VCT) is an innovative educational strategy designed to help students internalize moral, ethical, and social values through a process of discussion, reflection, and value exploration. This approach encourages students to examine and clarify their values, fostering personal growth and a deeper understanding of moral principles. This study uses a literature review method to investigate the effectiveness of VCT, its implementation in various educational settings, and the challenges that educators face when applying this method. The findings suggest that VCT significantly improves students' critical thinking abilities, enhances their capacity for collaborative learning, and helps instill strong moral values that influence their behavior and decision-making. Furthermore, the study emphasizes that the successful implementation of VCT requires more than just the use of specific techniques; it necessitates comprehensive teacher training to equip educators with the skills to facilitate value-based discussions effectively. An inclusive and supportive learning environment is also critical, where students feel safe to express their thoughts and engage in meaningful dialogue. Additionally, VCT should be adapted to the cultural contexts and diverse backgrounds of students to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. With the right principles in place, VCT has the potential to produce individuals with not only a strong moral foundation but also the ability to think critically and act responsibly in various social contexts. This study highlights the transformative power of VCT in shaping students into well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society.
