Abstract

Based on initial observations and interviews conducted by the author with mathematics teachers and students of SMP Negeri 05 X Koto Singkarak, it was found that there is a lack of student interest in learning mathematics. Students find it difficult to understand mathematical concepts, which leads to a lack of motivation to engage in mathematics lessons. The learning process is still dominated by the teacher, with students simply receiving material from the teacher and then taking notes. This is further exacerbated by the students' lack of interest in doing exercises and homework. This type of research is experimental. The population of this study consists of 8th-grade students of SMP Negeri 05 X Koto Singkarak for the 2024/2025 academic year, which includes two classes. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The instruments used in this study are observation sheets related to the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model and a learning achievement test. Based on the results of the research, after hypothesis testing and normality tests, the data analysis revealed that both sample classes were normally distributed and homogeneous at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the hypothesis test showed that t_calculated = 1.84 and t_table = 1.69, so t_calculated > t_table, meaning the hypothesis in this study is accepted. It can be concluded that: The mathematics learning outcomes of students using the Aptitude Treatment Interaction approach are better than the learning outcomes of students taught through conventional methods at the 8th-grade level of SMP Negeri 05 X Koto Singkarak for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

Learning Arabic at an early age plays a significant role in the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children. Beyond being the language used in religious worship by Muslims, Arabic offers numerous advantages in enriching children’s language skills and intellectual abilities. Early exposure to Arabic not only aids in enhancing linguistic abilities but also contributes to the child’s broader understanding of culture and religion. This research aims to investigate the implementation of effective methods for teaching Arabic to young children. The study employs a qualitative approach, using interview guides and observation as primary data collection methods. The findings indicate that the application of engaging methods such as singing, memorization, play, and writing makes the learning process more enjoyable, while also boosting children's enthusiasm and motivation to learn Arabic. These methods help create a more interactive and dynamic learning environment, which fosters a positive attitude towards the language. Ultimately, the research highlights the importance of adopting age-appropriate, enjoyable, and innovative teaching strategies to facilitate early language learning.

Abstract

Marriage in Islam is a noble act of worship and a means to create a life filled with love, tranquility, and blessings within the family. Islam sets clear rules regarding who is permitted and prohibited from marrying, with the aim of preserving the sanctity and harmony of family relationships as well as the welfare of the community. In the Qur'an, there are two types of marriage prohibitions: permanent (mu'abbad) and temporary prohibitions. The permanent prohibitions include marriage with close relatives such as siblings, mothers, stepmothers, and married women, while temporary prohibitions apply in certain conditions, such as women in the waiting period (iddah) or those who are menstruating or postpartum. Additionally, there are other prohibitions, such as marrying someone of a different faith (except for a Muslim man marrying a woman from the People of the Book) or marrying more than four women without the ability to treat them justly. These prohibitions aim to protect the well-being of individuals and families, ensuring that marriages create a home that is peaceful, loving, and blessed by Allah.

Abstract

One part of the influence of technological developments is fishermen's fishing gear. The aim of using modern fishing gear is to make it easier for fishermen to reach a wider range of fishing activities and optimize their catch. However, not all fishing gear used by fishermen can have a positive effect on preserving the aquatic environment. Such as the use of trawl nets, chemicals and explosives can damage the potential of marine resources. It is necessary to understand and raise awareness among fishermen regarding the use of fishing gear that is not environmentally friendly. The Method for Conveying Understanding of the Integration of Environmentally Friendly Fishing Equipment Technology for Fishermen in the city of Padang is a form of Tridharma tertiary service for lecturers at Nahdlatul Ulama University, West Sumatra in creating resources that understand the sustainability of water potential so that they can be utilized sustainably for future generations. The results of this service activity motivate fishermen to work together to protect the aquatic environment by not using fishing gear that can damage the waters and have the potential to protect aquatic resources in the future.

This research is motivated by the hedonistic lifestyle being one of the phenomena that are often found in teenagers in the modern era. Hedonism that focuses on seeking pleasure and instant gratification is often influenced by social change, technological advances, and the influence of social media. Teenagers who adopt this lifestyle tend to prioritize excessive consumption, entertainment activities, and self-image in their social environment. Ego identity refers to stable self-awareness, including an understanding of the values, goals, and identity of an individual. In adolescents, the formation of ego identity is an important process that determines the direction of their development towards adulthood. This study aims to examine the relationship between the hedonistic lifestyle and the formation of ego identity in adolescents. This study aims to describe describe the picture of the hedonistic lifestyle in adolescents, describe the picture of ego identity in adolescents, and the relationship between the hedonistic lifestyle in adolescents and ego identity. This study uses a quantitative correlational method. This study involved 83 adolescents in Padang city using incidental techniques. The instruments used were a questionnaire on hedonistic lifestyle in adolescents and an ego identity questionnaire. Data analysis used percentage analysis techniques and was tested using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the average score of hedonistic lifestyle achievement in adolescents reached 88.16 (60.80) adolescents have a high hedonistic lifestyle, (2) the average score of ego identity achievement in adolescents reached 84.30 (64.85%) adolescents have low ego identity, and (3) there is a significant negative relationship between hedonistic lifestyle in adolescents and ego identity with a correlation of -0.007 and a significance value of 0.949. Thus, it can be interpreted that the higher the hedonistic lifestyle in adolescents, the lower their ego identity, conversely, adolescents with a weak hedonistic lifestyle tend to have a more developed ego identity.

Abstract

This study is based on the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects in grade II of SD Negeri 16 Sitiung. The low learning outcomes of students are due to students not paying attention during the learning process, causing many students' scores to still be below the KKTP Education Level Framework that must be achieved by students in mathematics subjects, which is 70. This study aims to determine the significant effect of implementing learning videos on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects in grade II of SD Negeri 16 Sitiung. The type of research used is experimental. In the research used is pre-experimental designs (non-designs). In this study using One-Group Pretest-Posttest Designs. The stages of this research are preparation, implementation and completion. And the data analysis techniques that researchers do are normality tests and parametric tests. The results of this study show that the pretest results have an average value of 62.895 while the posttest value has an average of 83.947. In the normality test for pretest data, the data is normally distributed and for posttest data, it is normally distributed. Because the data is normally distributed, a parametric hypothesis test is carried out. With the results of the parametric test using paired sample tests SPSS 25, the significance result is 0.000. Because the significance value of 0.000 <0.5, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the application of learning videos on the learning outcomes of students in the mathematics subject of class II of SD Negeri 16 Sitiung.
