Abstract

PT. Pardic Jaya Chemicals is a company that produces synthetic resin used as raw material for other industries. In its operations, it is important for PT. Pardic Jaya Chemicals to pay attention to factors that can optimize employee performance, such as the kaizen culture implemented through a suggestion system and a reward system. The purpose of this study is to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of kaizen culture and rewards on employee performance. The data collection methods used are observation, questionnaires, and literature study. The type of analysis method is quantitative, using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample size is 60 people, obtained from the Slovin formula applied to a population of 150 individuals. Based on the research conducted, the multiple linear regression equation produced is Y = 5.611 + 0.290X1 + 0.557X2. This equation shows that kaizen culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05 and t-count > t-table (3.317 > 2.002). Rewards have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 and t-count > t-table (4.965 > 2.002). Kaizen culture and rewards simultaneously have an effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 and F-count > F-table (36.988 > 4.007).

Abstract

This research is designed to assess the effectiveness of cooperative learning models in enhancing the collaboration and social skills of elementary school (SD) students. The study employs the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, which follows a cyclical design that includes stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants in the study were 25 fourth-grade students. The results indicate that cooperative learning strategies, particularly the Jigsaw and Think-Pair-Share methods, play a significant role in improving students’ social interactions, teamwork, and communication abilities. These strategies encourage active participation and foster a more inclusive classroom environment where students learn from each other, share ideas, and work together toward common goals. The findings underline the value of cooperative learning models not only in academic achievement but also in building essential social skills. By engaging in collaborative tasks, students develop problem-solving skills and learn how to express their thoughts clearly and respectfully, which are crucial skills for their overall development. Moreover, these methods promote a positive classroom culture where students support each other’s learning processes, making the learning experience more dynamic and enjoyable. As such, these cooperative learning techniques can be viewed as an effective and beneficial approach that should be integrated into elementary school curricula to foster not only academic success but also social competence among students.

Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning model in improving the reading skills of elementary school students in the Indonesian language subject, based on a review of 20 related research journals. It was found that the Jigsaw method can enhance students' ability to comprehend texts, expand their vocabulary, and encourage active participation and collaboration in the classroom. However, its implementation faces challenges, such as the heterogeneity of students' abilities, which requires good classroom management to ensure that every student is engaged and benefits maximally. Another challenge is the need for thorough preparation by teachers in task distribution, group organization, and strategies to facilitate discussions. Supporting studies indicate that Jigsaw can improve students' overall academic skills, including their social and emotional aspects. This article suggests that teachers should be more flexible in designing learning groups that suit students' characteristics and create an inclusive and collaborative classroom atmosphere. Overall, despite the challenges, the Jigsaw method proves effective in developing students' reading skills, as long as it is implemented with proper management and attention to students' diverse abilities.

Abstract

Indonesia's agricultural sector has been experiencing significant growth and serves as the backbone of the economy. However, there are major challenges in meeting the needs of society, which are often exploited by individuals for personal gain, such as the illegal distribution of subsidized fertilizer. One case tried at the Menggala District Court revealed the practice of selling subsidized fertilizer without the required sale and purchase agreement (SPJB) and violating valid distribution regulations. This research investigates how judges consider criminal sentences for offenders and the legal criteria used to classify this illegal fertilizer distribution as a criminal act. The findings indicate that the judge considered all evidence, witness testimonies, as well as grounds for exonerating criminal liability such as justifying and excuse defenses. The classification of illegal fertilizer distribution as a criminal offense refers to several legal regulations governing the distribution of subsidized fertilizers, including Emergency Law No. 7 of 1955, Government Regulation No. 8 of 1962, and Presidential Regulation No. 15 of 2011. This study recommends that the government strengthen regulations on subsidized fertilizer distribution to close legal loopholes, improve monitoring of distribution channels, and educate distributors and agents about the legal consequences of violations. Moreover, it is hoped that society will become more aware of the importance of complying with the rules and report any distribution irregularities to law enforcement to prevent illegal practices.
