Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the utilization of digital technology-based learning media in teaching the Indonesian language at elementary schools using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research methodology involves the analysis of scientific articles, both from domestic and international sources, published in the last 5–10 years and sourced from indexed databases. The review process includes the steps of identification, selection, evaluation, and analysis of articles based on predetermined criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The findings indicate that digital technology-based learning media, such as interactive multimedia, educational videos, educational apps, and online learning platforms, have a positive impact on increasing students' motivation, understanding of the material, and language skills in elementary schools. Furthermore, the use of digital media can create a more engaging, relevant, and student-centered learning experience. However, there are several challenges, including limited facilities, low digital competence among teachers, and unequal access to technology. Therefore, policy support, continuous teacher training, and adequate infrastructure provision are needed to maximize the use of digital technology-based learning media in Indonesian language education at elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning methods in developing early literacy among elementary school students. Effective learning plays a crucial role in the development of children’s language skills. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was employed to analyze 25 relevant scientific articles obtained from the SINTA and Google Scholar databases, with publication periods ranging from 2018 to 2023. The results of the analysis indicate that project-based learning approaches and the use of digital technology, such as interactive learning applications, have significant positive impacts on students’ reading and writing skills. Despite these advancements, challenges such as limited teacher training and inadequate access to technology remain obstacles to the effectiveness of these methods. This study concludes that the implementation of innovative learning methods and adequate educational support are essential for improving literacy among elementary school students. Recommendations for stakeholders include enhancing teacher training programs and providing sufficient resources to support more effective learning methods.

Abstract

Speaking skills are an essential competence in language learning, supporting effective communication and active student participation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the collaborative learning model to enhance students’ speaking skills. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted to evaluate previous studies on collaborative strategies, discussion techniques, and group activities in the context of language learning. The findings indicate that collaborative models, such as Think-Pair-Share, Jigsaw, and Role-Play, effectively improve students’ confidence, argumentation skills, fluency, and active engagement in learning. The implementation of this model also promotes social interaction, teamwork, and peer reflection. However, challenges include uneven group management, differences in student abilities, and teacher readiness to facilitate collaborative learning. This study recommends structured collaborative strategies, clear role assignments, and pedagogical training for teachers to maximize the effectiveness of speaking skill development in the classroom.

Abstract

Reading comprehension skills are fundamental competencies that play an important role in the learning success of elementary school students. However, various studies indicate that students’ reading comprehension abilities remain relatively low, partly due to the use of less varied and insufficiently student-centered learning strategies. This study aims to systematically examine various learning strategies for reading comprehension skills among elementary school students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The research was conducted by reviewing relevant scientific articles from national and international journal databases, which were then selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were analyzed using content analysis to identify the types of learning strategies, implementation trends, and their impacts on students’ reading comprehension abilites. The findings reveal that guided reading strategies, KWL strategies, metacognitive strategies, cooperative learning, and text-based learning are the most frequently implemented strategies and have proven effective in improving elementary school students’ reading comprehension skills. These strategies enhance student engagement, text comprehension, and critical thinking skills. This study emphasizes that the implementation of active, systematic, and contextual learning strategies is essential for improving the quality of reading comprehension instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of reward and punishment on students’ learning motivation at SMPN 3 Bukit Sundi, Solok Regency. The background of this research is based on the relatively low level of students’ learning motivation, as indicated by suboptimal attendance rates, low active participation in learning activities, and the large number of students who fail to complete assignments on time. The implementation of reward and punishment at school has not been carried out consistently and optimally, thus requiring an empirical study regarding its influence on students’ learning motivation. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The results indicate that the provision of rewards does not have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation. In contrast, punishment has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation. Simultaneously, the implementation of reward and punishment has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation at SMPN 3 Bukit Sundi, Solok Regency.

Abstract

In an effort to increase student enthusiasm and engagement, this study aims to develop a Wayground-based educational game to teach Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in third grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salafiyah Gapuro. The ADDIE development model, consisting of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases, and a mixed-methods approach, was used in the Research and Development (R&D) methodology of this study. Observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used to collect data, which was then analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results indicate that the developed media achieved a student response rate of 90%, classified as “very good,” and attained a very high level of feasibility, as validated by experts, with an average of 89%. These results indicate that students’ enthusiasm for learning, engagement, and understanding of SKI material can be enhanced through the use of Wayground-based instructional game media. Furthermore, compared to conventional approaches, this media can provide a more engaging and participatory learning environment. Therefore, Wayground-based educational game media can serve as a creative alternative for teaching SKI in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Learning Islamic Cultural History (ISHC) in Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) currently still faces various obstacles, one of which is low student interest and memory due to monotonous lecture methods on the material, even though elementary school-aged students need concrete visual media to understand the material clearly. This study aims to identify the potential of using Islamic comics as a learning media tool to increase student interest and understanding in ISHC subjects. By using a literature study method (library research) through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines various scientific literature and relevant research results. The results of the study indicate that Islamic comic media is able to visualize complex historical narratives into simpler and more interesting, so it is more effective in increasing student active involvement and strengthening memory compared to conventional media. It can be concluded that the innovation of Islamic comic media is a strategic solution to overcome obstacles to learning ISHC because it is able to increase learning motivation that is in line with the characteristics of students' cognitive development.

Abstract

Customer loyalty is crucial for companies operating in the logistics service industry. Service quality and pricing, as independent variables, along with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, are important factors to consider in gaining loyal customers in the fast-paced era of globalization. This study aims to measure the influence of service quality and price on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable at the logistics service company Lion Parcel. The research design employed a purposive sampling method involving 126 respondents who had previously used Lion Parcel logistics services. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that service quality and price have a positive effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. However, customer satisfaction does not have a significant effect on customer loyalty, nor does it mediate the relationship between service quality and price on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing children's language development within the framework of psycholinguistic theory by integrating both theoretical frameworks and recent empirical findings. The objective of this research was to analyze both internal factors (biological, cognitive, and gender-related) and external factors (family environment, parenting styles, stimulation, and learning media) that affect children's language development. It employed a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach. Data were collected from relevant academic sources such as books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and research reports. The analysis was conducted through thematic synthesis to identify patterns and relationships among the factors influencing language development. The findings indicated that children's language development is influenced by a combination of internal factors, such as brain maturation and cognitive abilities, as well as external factors, including social interaction, parenting styles, and provided stimulation. In addition, gender differences contribute to variations in the speed and manner of language acquisition.
