Abstract

This study aims to analyze the specialization of economic sectors in Nagan Raya Regency using the Location Quotient (LQ) method and to examine its correlation with regional economic growth. The LQ method is employed to identify leading (basic) sectors that possess higher comparative competitiveness than those at the regional or national level. Furthermore, the study analyzes how the development of these basic sectors contributes to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and other economic growth indicators in Nagan Raya Regency. Based on the Location Quotient analysis, the results for 2024 indicate that there are three sectors categorized as basic or leading sectors, namely the mining and quarrying sector, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, and the other services sector. The remaining sectors are classified as non-basic or non-leading local sectors because their LQ values are below 1. These sectors include: (1) manufacturing industry; (2) electricity and gas supply; (3) water supply, waste management, and recycling; (4) construction; (5) wholesale and retail trade, and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; (6) transportation and warehousing; (7) accommodation and food service activities; (8) information and communication; (9) financial and insurance services; (10) real estate; (11) business services; (12) public administration, defense, and social security; (13) education services; and (14) health and social services.

Abstract

The development of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia has expanded data-based services, but it has also increased incidents of personal data breaches, misuse of information, and privacy violations that threaten the security and dignity of citizens. Studies on data protection in Indonesia have generally focused on regulations and administrative institutions, while the role of the judiciary as an instrument for the protection of human rights in digital data disputes remains limited. This study aims to analyze the position of personal data and privacy as part of human rights, examine the role of the judiciary, and formulate directions for strengthening judicial functions in realizing digital justice in Indonesia. The research employs a library research method with a normative legal approach through the collection, classification, and analysis of primary legal materials, books, and Indonesian-language scientific journals published between 2020 and 2025. The findings reveal four main judicial functions: affirming the constitutional status of personal data, reviewing the legality of state actions, resolving disputes related to data violations, and providing remedies through judicial mechanisms. Therefore, the judiciary plays a concrete role as a guardian of privacy rights, a supervisor of digital accountability, and a pillar of human rights-based digital justice in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of board of directors characteristics, debt levels, and firm size on the financial performance of manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector. Methodology: The research sample consisted of food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2022–2024 period, selected using a purposive sampling method. A total of 68 companies met the criteria, resulting in 204 financial statement data points. The criteria included reporting profits consecutively for three years, using Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) as the reporting currency, and having complete financial data relevant to the studied variables. This study performed normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was conducted using F-tests and t-tests to examine the effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. Findings: The results of the simultaneous test indicate that the size of the board of directors, the number of female directors, debt level, and firm size simultaneously affect financial performance. Partial testing results show that the size of the board of directors, the number of female directors, debt level, and firm size have a positive effect on financial performance.

Abstract

This research looks at how cooperatives and small businesses in Jambi City have helped improve the well-being of the community between the years 2020 and 2025. This study looks at how poverty and economic inequality continue to exist even though the country's economy has been growing in a positive way. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, which focuses on understanding a phenomenon thoroughly by closely examining the actual situation. Studies show that cooperatives and small and medium-sized businesses help improve the well-being of communities by providing jobs, boosting income, and supporting the local economy. However, this contribution hasn't reached its fullest potential because of some challenges, like not having enough money to invest, not having skilled enough workers, not having good access to markets, and not using digital tools properly. This means that even though there are some improvements in community well-being, these benefits are not shared equally, and there are still big differences in wealth and income between different areas. So, to make cooperatives and small businesses play a bigger role in helping the community in a lasting way, it's important to strengthen institutions, train the workforce, and speed up the digital transformation process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing use of online games among adolescents, which has the potential to affect interpersonal communication skills, particularly self-disclosure. This study aims to identify the level of self-disclosure in students addicted to online games at SMA Negeri 11 Muaro Jambi based on the dimensions of amount, valence, honesty and accuracy, intention, and intimacy. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The research sample consisted of 60 students determined through a total sampling technique with the criteria of playing online games for more than 5 hours per day. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability and was compiled based on Devito's self disclosure theory and analyzed using a percentage technique. The results showed that the overall level of student self-disclosure was in the high category (61%). Partially, the amount dimension was in the moderate category (59%), while valence (60%), honesty and accuracy (63%), intention (64%), and intimacy (61%) were in the high category. The intention dimension was the highest, while amount was the lowest. These findings indicate that students addicted to online games have a tendency to be quite open, but not optimal in the frequency and duration of self-disclosure. Therefore, guidance and counseling services are needed to increase self disclosure and control online game use to support students' social development.

Abstract

This study explores students’ perceptions of intrinsic motivational factors that influence their participation in English speaking classes at an Indonesian junior high school. Based on Self-Determination Theory and self-concept in language learning, the study focuses on competence, autonomy, and self-concept as key factors affecting students’ willingness to speak. Using a descriptive qualitative design, this research involved 48 students at a junior high school in Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, with 25 students selected for semi-structured interviews after data saturation was reached. Data were collected through classroom observations and interviews over four weeks and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that competence was the most dominant factor, reported by 21 students, or 84%, as students felt more motivated when they completed speaking tasks successfully and received constructive feedback. Autonomy was reported by 18 students, or 72%, showing that topic and peer selection increased engagement. Self-concept was identified by 15 students, or 60%, indicating that students’ positive image of themselves as future English speakers reduced anxiety and encouraged participation. This study concludes that competence, autonomy, and self-concept interact as a motivational triad that strengthens students’ intrinsic motivation in speaking classes.

Abstract

Digital transformation has shifted the paradigm of strategic management from a conventional approach to one that is more adaptive, innovative, and technology-based, particularly in the context of entrepreneurship and MSME development. This article aims to analyze the development of strategic management studies based on digital transformation and entrepreneurship, as well as to identify trends, key findings, and research gaps that remain open. The research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, examining 25 scholarly articles sourced from Google Scholar and SINTA within the 2020-2025 timeframe. The selection process was based on inclusion and exclusion criteria that emphasize topic relevance, publication timeliness, and the quality of peer-reviewed journals. The synthesis results show that digital transformation plays a significant role in improving operational efficiency, expanding market reach, strengthening innovation, and creating sustainable competitive advantages. Key factors influencing successful strategy implementation include digital capabilities, strategic innovation, organizational culture, regulatory support, and the readiness of infrastructure and human resources. However, most studies are still conceptual and lack strong empirical testing. This article concludes that the success of strategic management in the digital era heavily depends on an organization’s ability to integrate technology, innovation, and sustainability holistically to respond to increasingly complex business environment dynamics.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the global economy and technological disruption require companies to continuously adapt to a dynamic external environment. This article aims to comprehensively examine the use of PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT methods in business strategy analysis in Indonesia over the last five years. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, articles published between 2021 and 2026 were collected from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda databases, with a total of 25 articles analyzed. The main findings of this review indicate that although PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, and SWOT remain relevant, these methods are often applied separately without adequate integration. This study highlights the need for a more holistic and integrative approach in analyzing external factors that influence business strategies. The article suggests that companies should combine these three methods to obtain a more comprehensive perspective and achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

The learning of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) often faces challenges, particularly students’ difficulties in understanding the preaching (dakwah) of Prophet Muhammad SAW, which contains exemplary values such as patience and honesty. These difficulties are caused by monotonous textual presentations, limited relevance to students’ daily lives, and students’ low literacy skills. This study aims to specifically analyze the difficulties experienced by MI students in understanding the material and to identify the contributing factors, including low learning motivation, limited instructional time, lack of visual media, and passive lecture-based teaching methods. The study employed a library research method by collecting data from reference books, national scientific articles, and relevant research reports obtained from academic databases. The data were analyzed qualitatively to formulate findings without plagiarism. The results reveal five main factors contributing to students’ difficulties: less contextualized material, low reading interest, limited instructional time, inadequate facilities, and low concentration caused by monotonous teaching methods. Therefore, interactive multimedia-based learning strategies are recommended to improve students’ understanding and internalization of the values of dakwah.

Abstract

This study examines the needs analysis and inclusive education service strategies for slow learners at SD Negeri 1 Glagah. The underlying issue of this research is that inclusive education services have been implemented through the admission of students with special needs into regular classrooms; however, learning services still require more systematic individualized adjustments. This study aims to identify the learning needs of slow learners, describe the current condition of inclusive education services, and formulate appropriate service strategies to support adaptive learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The primary subject of the study was one slow learner student, while supporting informants included the classroom teacher, school principal, and parents. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the student was able to recognize numbers from 1 to 20 and perform simple addition and subtraction, but still experienced difficulties in understanding word problems, maintaining attention, and completing tasks independently. Socially, the student was able to interact with peers and follow teachers’ instructions. Inclusive education services at the school were still predominantly classical in nature, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) had not yet been systematically developed. The recommended strategies include the development of an Individualized Education Program, step-by-step instruction, the use of concrete learning media, simple instructions, adaptive evaluation, and collaboration among teachers, schools, and parents.
