Abstract

Socio scientific issues deals with learning materials related to controversial issues that develop along with the development of scientific and technological advances.This study aims to compare the PjBL learning model with the STEM PjBL learning model based on socio scientific issues in each class in the biology education study program in improving students' scientific literacy. Quantitative research methods are associative and comparative types. This study took research samples from the research population, namely students in the 7th semester of the biology education study program as many as 60 samples. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. Data collection used a student response questionnaire to the PjBL learning model and a scientific literacy questionnaire. The results of the t test found that there were differences in the responses of regular students A and regular B to the PjBL learning model and the STEM project based learning innovation based on SSI learning model. The results of the correlation test found that there was a significant relationship between the responses of regular B semester 7 biology education students to the PjBL model variables and students' scientific literacy

Abstract

Self-efficacy memiliki kontribusi penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena dapat digunakan sebagai prediktor kinerja belajar siswa. Self-efficacy mampu merangsang motivasi, proses kognitif, aktivitas, prestasi dan ketekunan siswa. Kurangnya kemampuan efikasi diri merupakan salah satu masalah yang sering terjadi dalam pembelajaran. Permasalahan ini dapat diatasi melalui penerapan media pembelajaran seperti penggunaan modul inovatif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap efikasi diri dan hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu juga bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan hasil belajar akibat penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis masalah materi sistem pencernaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021 di sebuah sekolah menengah atas di Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Aceh, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah 93 siswa (total sampling). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari angket efikasi diri dan tes kognitif materi sistem pencernaan. Data efikasi diri dan hasil belajar dianalisis dengan uji statistik parametrik menggunakan analisis kovarians, sedangkan efikasi diri dianalisis menggunakan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan modul pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpengaruh terhadap efikasi diri dan hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu, analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa r hitung r tabel (0,7277 0. 2461) yang mengartikan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan hasil belajar siswa. Efikasi diri berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa: semakin tinggi efikasi diri maka hasil belajar akan semakin tinggi

Abstract

Teaching materials are needed by teachers and students to facilitate the learning process, appropriate LKPD will greatly assist learners in understanding lessons that require practice or hands-on experience. IPA learning is one of the materials that require experimental activities. Science experiments are learning methods in natural science that provide opportunities for students to experience an experiment themselves so as to find answers to various problems. The description of the analysis of participants' worksheet development needs (LKPD) based on science experiments on the learning of elementary school science (SD) class V became the focus of this research. This research uses qualitative methods with this type of case study research. The subject of study consisted of three V-class teachers from SD Negeri in remote areas of Eromoko Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency. The subject of the study was determined by purposive sampling which was based on the teacher with the highest number of learners in the class. The technique of collecting data is taken with interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The technique of analyzing data used in this study are milles and hubberman analysis techniques. Test the validity of data used triangulation techniques. The results of this study show that IPA learning activities still use conventional methods with lectures and assignments, there is no LKPD that facilitates students to carry out practicum activities with science experiment methods, therefore based on the analysis of needs in the field, it is necessary to hold the development of science experiment-based LKPD IPA for elementary school V grade students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi hidrokarbon melalui penggunaan pengembangan bahan ajar modul. Pengembangan modul menggunakan model Hannafin and Peck yang terdiri atas tiga fase, yaitu fase analisis keperluan, desain, serta pengembangan dan implementasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel diambil secara acak dan terbagi dalam kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dilakukan melalui tes awal dan tes akhir pada kedua kelas, dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap penggunaan modul sebagai bahan ajar pada materi hidrokarbon digunakan angket. Pengolahan data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, diantaranya uji tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, validitas, dan reliabilitas untuk instrumen yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian. Selanjutnya, untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dilakukan perhitungan N-gain dari hasil tes awal dan tes akhir siswa. Uji hipotesis menggunakan beberapa pengujian, diantaranya uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji kesamaan dua rerata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul hidrokarbon dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Di samping itu, guru dan siswa sangat setuju terhadap penggunaan modul tersebut.

Abstract

The emergence of the 4.0 industrial revolution requires university graduates to have 21st-century thinking skills that can support them to compete globally. However, the low 21st-century thinking skills of prospective teachers in the group of ways of thinking (critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making) make the learning process should be able to train and develop these thinking skills. One way to train prospective teachers' 21st-century thinking skills is through the textbooks used in lectures. This study aims to develop textbooks based on socioscientific issues on the topic of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study used the RD research method with ADDIE design which is composed of 5 stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. textbooks were applied at the implementation stage by involving second-semester prospective teachers who contract Environmental Knowledge courses. The instruments used in this study included textbook validation sheets and essay tests. The validation results were analyzed using descriptive analysis, while the essay test results were analyzed using SPSS. The results of the study showed that the socioscientific issues-based textbooks on the SDGs topic received a very good expert assessment and had met the standards of the appropriateness of the content, language, graphics, presentation, and socioscientific issues. Prospective teachers' 21st-century thinking skills in the group of the way of thinking  also improved significantly after using socioscientific issues-based textbooks. These indicated that the textbooks which have been developed were effective in practicing the 21st-century thinking skills of prospective teachers.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik dengan menggunakan modul bermuatan nilai karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan modul bermuatan nilai karakter pada materi senyawa karbon yang telah dikembangkan dan telah layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji persepsi peserta didik setelah mempelajari modul bermuatan nilai karakter. Instrumen angket persepsi yang digunakan meliputi 10 aspek karakter menurut Lickona diantaranya bijaksana, adil, memiliki daya tahan, memiliki kontrol diri, mencintai, sikap positif, kerja keras, integritas, berterimakasih dan rendah hati. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa hasil rata-rata persepsi peserta didik di SMAN 1, 5, 6 dan 10 Banda Aceh  terhadap modul bermuatan nilai karakter yang dkembangkan adalah sangat baik dengan persentase 85.Kata kunci: Kesadaran Lingkungan, Modul, Karakter, Kimia Karbon, Persepsi.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of physics is the basic cognitive skill to understand, know, apply and analyze a physical phenomenon.  Problems of conceptual knowledge of physics Students are minimal causing their inability to solve problems with Physics. The understanding of physical concepts can be learned in several ways, one of which is based on conceptual knowledge. Conceptual knowledge can be classified based on several sub dimensions of knowledge including knowledge of classifying, generalizing, basic or general concepts. The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the understanding of physical concepts based on several indicators of conceptual knowledge through the Quizizz Online Game application. This research uses quantitative-qualitative mixed research methods that are interpreted together. Data retrieval techniques use test instruments and in-person interviews. The results showed that the average understanding of student concepts is in a moderate category with a concept understanding index reaching 47%. Students' concept understanding on each conceptual knowledge such as classifying, generalizing knowledge and knowledge of concepts or theories with results at a moderate level

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang penulis lakukan diperoleh bahwa,  permasalahan yang sangat banyak terjadi di SMA Negeri 7  Banda aceh adalah tentang elastisitas. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai UN pada indikator menentukan tingkat elastisitas bahan elastis dan plastis. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimana Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar Elastisitas Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 7  Banda Aceh”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap berpikir kritis, berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar Elastisitas siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan dua kelas yaitu kontrol dan eksperimen dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 156 siswa dengan sampel yang diambil adalah 30 orang untuk kontrol dan 30 orang untuk eksperimen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis  dan berpikir kreatif serta pedoman observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar, berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas XI pada materi Elastisitas.

Abstract

The inculcation of Islamic character values for students is an important thing to be taught to students. One way of planting is to integrate learning material with the values of Islamic characters of students. This research was carried out through exploring the values of Islamic characters in hydrocarbon material taught in vocational high schools. The purpose of this study is to integrate the values of Islamic characters that are reinforced in the hydrocarbon material in schools. This research is a literature study with qualitative descriptive methods using content analysis techniques, analysis with a philosophical approach, analysis with triadic models, and analysis with confirmation models. The results obtained in this study are the study of the integration of hydrocarbon material chemistry lessons and Islamic character values that can be taught to intermediate level students. The results of the integration are as follows (1) The conversion of a less useful item into a more useful item, (2) Preserving nature as the human task as a Khalifah on earth, (3) Utilizing one of the reactions that occur in hydrocarbon compounds in daily life, (4) Utilizing petroleum as an example of a hydrocarbon product that is very beneficial to humans, (5) The benefits of carbon atoms in the carbon cycle, (6) The benefits of hydrocarbons in photosynthesis to increase our gratitude to Allah SWT, (7 ) The benefits of the special carbon atom in the concept of pairing in life, and (8) Grateful for the greatness of God who has created everything in nature

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan metode eksperimen dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi pada materi rangkain listrik di SMA N 1 Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian pre-experimental design.  Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one group pretest and posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan pusposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes pilihan ganda beralasan (Two Tier Test). Hasil uji normalitas nilai pretest dan postest berdasarkan rumus chi kuadrat tidak normal, akan tetapi uji normalitas menggunakan rumus liliefors menunjukkan data yang diperoleh adalah normal. Hasil analisis data, siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi (Mis) rata-rata sebelum diberikan treatment sebesar 45% dan setelah diberikan treatment rata-rata sebesar 14. Sebanding dengan peningktan hasil belajar  sebesar 40,36 menjadi 80,71 sesudah diberikan treatment. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut metode ekperimen efektif untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi dan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik.
