Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang (UNIKAMA) for the year 2024 in Wonokerso Village, Pakisaji District, Malang Regency, focuses on communal activities and environmental awareness involving active participation from the village community. The main activities carried out include cleaning the area in front of the village hall, which has been misused as a dumping ground by the local residents. Additionally, UNIKAMA KKN students have created innovative recycling bins in Wonokerso Village as part of their efforts to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. These activities aim to reduce negative impacts on the village's tourism potential and to create a healthier and more pleasant environment. Survey findings indicate that the community still has low awareness regarding environmental issues and limited waste management facilities. The article proposes concrete solutions suggested by the UNIKAMA KKN students, such as the creation of recycling bins and the planting of decorative plants in strategic areas. These solutions are expected to serve as a sustainable initial step towards building environmental awareness and responsibility in Wonokerso Village.

Abstract

The project "Valuable Waste: Waste Literacy Education and Waste Craftsmanship for Sustainable Environment" aims to raise environmental awareness and creative skills among children at the Al Ishlah Hidayatullah Orphanage. Through observation, interviews, and participatory approaches, this project successfully engaged the children in educational activities on waste literacy and crafting from plastic waste. The results of the project demonstrated an increase in the children's understanding of waste management and their ability to recycle waste into valuable products. Items such as keychains made from bottle caps and trash bins from plastic gallon containers not only helped reduce waste but also provided aesthetic and economic value. The active participation of the children and the support from project partners contributed to the success of this sustainable program.

Abstract

Facing the modern era which is currently developing rapidly, especially in the use of black rice as a commodity, a new innovation is needed which aims to increase the economic value of black rice products in the Bandungan village. So far, black rice has only been used as a food product, so it must have innovation to be able to compete with products from other places. One effort to increase the added value of black rice products is to use black rice to make body scrub products. Black rice contains antioxidants which can accelerate collagen production and play a role in skin elasticity. The slightly rough texture of rice flour can be used as a facial scrub. Black rice contains several anti-oxidants, such as phytic acid and vitamin B and anti-oxidants help fight free radical damage and maintain healthy skin. so it is good for skin health, as well as body scrub preparations which can help smooth and remove dead skin cells on the body. The methods used in implementing community service activities are field survey, training, practice, discussion and question and answer methods targeting village residents, especially housewives, youth and Bandungan Village officials who want to maximize existing potential by making innovative body scrubs from rice. black. By holding community service activities through training in making black rice body scrub preparations, village residents can increase their knowledge and skills in processing black rice products in the cosmetic sector so that it is hoped that they can provide highly competitive added value, income for the community and improve the residents' economy.

Abstract

Parents are parties who cannot be excluded in education. They are the first school for children. For this reason, it is the responsibility of parents to be able to educate their children so that they grow into successful people in the future. One form of children's success is when they are able to become strong individuals who can play a positive role in the development of the nation and state. For this reason, parents also need to instill the values of patriotism in their children from a young age. However, many parents have limitations in understanding the values of patriotism. Therefore, it is necessary to disseminate the values of patriotism to parents to make it easier for them to implement them with their children in their daily lives. In this Community Service, the values of patriotism will be socialized to the parents of students at the Al Kamilah Foundation.

Abstract

This training activity was part of the Community Partnership Empowerment activity. This activity was carried out in partnership with SMP Negeri 2 Puri which was located in Mojokerto district, East Java province. The Partner was about 8 kilometers from Universitas Islam Majapahit. The background for implementing this training was due to the lack of knowledge and skills of teachers regarding the implementation of positive discipline in schools. This results in a lack of awareness in improving one's own competence, especially in taking part in workshops and utilizing independent teaching platforms. The aim of this training was for partners to have self-awareness and continue to improve their competence by continuously participating in workshops and utilizing the independent teaching platform, so that teachers have the knowledge and skills to plan and manage the implementation of positive discipline in schools. The method of activity carried out was to provide material about the application of positive discipline to teachers, as well as examples of its application in schools. The results of this training activity were based on the results of the pretest that has been carried out, the average score for teacher knowledge regarding the application of positive discipline was 61.0 and teacher skills were 50.0. And based on the results of the knowledge posttest, the average score was 90.5 and skills was 88.5.  From this activity it can be concluded that there has been an increase in teacher knowledge about the application of positive discipline by 51.5% and skills by 80.3%.

Abstract

The partner for community service activities within the scope of Community Partnership Empowerment was the Farmers Group with the name Margo Rukun Farmers Group which was located in Seno hamlet, Sidomulyo village, Mojokerto district, East Java province. The partner location was approximately 3.7 km to the east of the Majapahit Islamic University. The problem faced by partners in the production sector was that partners still do not have agricultural machinery in the form of hand tractors, so partners are forced to rent hand tractors when cultivating agricultural land. This increases the burden on production costs, which results in higher production costs. The solution implemented was to provide a grant for 1 unit of hand tractor and provide knowledge and skills on how to operate a hand tractor. The method used in this service activity was providing assistance to farmer groups in the form of providing a grant of 1 unit of hand tractor and providing knowledge and skills on how to operate a hand tractor. The results of this community service activity were that 1) the partner has 1 additional agricultural machine tool asset in the form of a hand tractor, 2) the partner has additional knowledge and skills on how to operate a hand tractor, and 3) the partner does not need to pay rental fees for hand tractors, so that production costs decrease. With these three efforts, the agricultural production of farmer groups has increased.

Abstract

Larvitrap is a mosquito trap intended for control at the pre-adult stage of vector mosquitoes in an effort to reduce mosquito density in nature. In the development of mosquitoes, the pre-adult stage is an important stage because the critical point in the mosquito life cycle is at the pre-adult stage, namely the egg and larval stages. The term larvitrap, its uses and benefits are not widely known and understood by the community in Tanjung Baru Village, Jati Agung District. Therefore, this counseling was carried out which was aimed at mothers and young women on how to make it. The results of the community service activities showed that there was a change in knowledge and understanding about making larvitraps which from the analysis results showed an increase in knowledge from participants from a low percentage to a high percentage (35% - 65%) with an average increase of 30%.

Abstract

Coffee is a type of plantation crop that has been around for a long time and has been cultivated and has high value.  Ponorogo Regency, especially Ngrayun Village, is a large coffee producer. This village has large human resource potential with the main livelihood being gardening. The majority of residents in Ngrayun Village have a lot of free time to produce raw coffee into processed coffee. However, most of the coffee production is still sold in the form of coffee cherries, so sales results are still not optimal. The solution offered to this problem is to process coffee into spiced coffee. Spiced coffee is prepared by processing coffee beans into coffee powder and adding various types of spices such as ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, mango ginger, cloves and turmeric to enhance the taste. The aim of this activity is to increase coffee bean innovation and the use of coffee beans to obtain a higher selling value.

Abstract

Mrayan Trigona Park is a place for cultivating trigona honeybees and is used as an educational place. Trigona honey is honey produced by stingless bees. The aim of this research is to identify the obstacles faced by farmers regarding product marketing. Innovations are needed to attract consumer interest and be ready to face competition. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation and interview methods. The results of this research are related to packaging labeling that is more attractive and contains more complete information, innovation in honey flavors, and the creation of social media as a marketing and promotional medium.

Abstract

The community partnership program aims to provide direct benefits to living communities in the social and economic fields as well as improving the quality of resources through empowering women from the PKK and Karang Taruna groups in Dukuh Buluerjo, Carangrejo Village, Sampung Ponorogo by utilizing natural materials found around their homes. It is hoped that this activity can solve the problems that exist in partner villages, namely the community's source of income is dominated by the agricultural sector, the village's natural potential has not been utilized properly, there is a lack of skills in managing village potential. The majority of Dukuh Bulurejo residents are house wives who have minimal income. The community partnership program consists of two activities, namely training in making ecoprints using natural materials in the environment around Dukuh Bluerjo and making audio-visual video son how to make ecoprints. It is hoped that the partnership program activities can be carried out continuously so that they can provide additional livelihoods for the local community because the selling value of ecoprint products is still quite high on the market.
