Abstract

The aim of this service is to analyze the water quality of Sorong City, as well as disseminate information to the younger generation, namely high school students. The service stage is divided into two stages: observation and socialization. In the observation stage, measurements were carried out with the parameters measured being pH, conductivity, turbidity, TSS, TDS, and salinitas which were then compared with the standard criteria for river water quality according to Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management. The analysis results show that it is still within safe limits, but the TSS and salinity values are quite high, requiring management and control measures to maintain dam water quality. It is hoped that socialization will ensure that high school students can protect, conserve and maintain available water resources for the future.

Abstract

One product of composting technology that also growing rapidly is the manufacture of compost tea (CT). CT is an oxygenated compost water extract obtained through aeration in the liquid phase. The process of making CT with this method is called Aerated Compost Tea (ACT). ACT is a compost water extract containing dissolved nutrients and growth hormones. In addition to functioning as a source of nutrients, ACT can also improve the soil ecosystem for the growth of decomposing microbes that can support soil fertility, improve soil physical and biological properties, improve microbial activity, and can also increase plant resistance to pathogens. ACT provides dissolved nutrients that are more quickly absorbed by plants and at the same time provides biopesticides to prevent or inhibit infection by pathogens that cause plant diseases. Abstract

Gadgets, as modern communication tools, are making interactions between people easier. Nowadays, the development in communication has progressed rapidly with the presence of smartphones such as iPhone, Android, Blackberry, and notebook. However, in the context of early childhood developmental psychology (0-6 years), the use of gadgets can affect their social aspects. Gadgets can have both positive and negative effects on children's social and emotional development. Excessive use of gadgets can have adverse effects, such as making children more introverted, experiencing sleep disturbances, preferring to be alone, exhibiting aggressive behaviour, decreased creativity, and increased risk of cyberbullying. To overcome these negative impacts, some solutions that can be implemented include limiting the time of gadget use, parental supervision when children play gadgets, and setting an appropriate schedule so that gadget use does not interfere with early childhood social development. With this approach, it is hoped that the negative impact of gadget use can be minimised and children's social development maintained.

Abstract

The problem of waste accumulation in Mrican Village, Ponorogo Regency, Indonesia, has become a big challenge for the local community. The ever-increasing waste has caused significant impacts on the environment, such as soil, water and air pollution. The government has made efforts to reduce waste by processing it into alternative fuel, but this innovation did not last long.  To overcome this problem, the Mathematics Community Research (MCR) Student Organization Capacity Strengthening (PPK ORMAWA) team at Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo developed an innovative solution in the form of a Digital Waste House Based on the Zerowastemate Application. This concept aims to make it easier to manage waste efficiently and sustainably, starting from the household scale. Through this application, people can easily manage their waste, both in sorting, processing and data collection.

Abstract

Currently, the Tahfizhul Qur'an Amanatul Huda Islamic boarding school still carries out traditional da'wah, so that the da'wah that is carried out does not have a broad impact on society. Good preaching materials are only delivered to a handful of congregations. In carrying out da'wah, the Tahfizhul Qur'an Amanatul Huda Islamic Boarding School faces several challenges, one of which is technological challenges. In line with the very rapid advances in information and communication technology, social media has become a very influential tool in expanding the reach of preaching and religious education. In order to support this effort, there needs to be an effective socialization program. With this community service activity with the theme Socialization of the Ethics of Using Social Media and Security of Information Dissemination at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Amanatul Huda Islamic Boarding School, we will be able to carry out da'wah by utilizing social media by producing da'wah content that is right on target and can reach the community even wider.
