Abstract

This report highlights the importance of improving the quality of forest honey products in Sumedang to meet hygienic and modern standards. The main issue is that traditional honey production practices do not meet cleanliness standards, hindering the product's competitiveness in the market. Objective: The goal of this activity is to educate and train forest honey entrepreneurs on innovative techniques that enhance the production process to be more hygienic and in line with modern standards. Methods: The implementation methods include providing education on cleanliness practices, training on more efficient and safe processing techniques, and guidance on the application of the latest technology. Results: The program results show a significant improvement in the quality of honey products, with the produced honey now meeting higher cleanliness standards and achieving better market competitiveness.

Abstract

Computer networks and Local Area Networks (LAN) are important foundations in modern information technology infrastructure, allowing electronic devices to connect to each other to share data and resources efficiently. LAN, which are commonly used in limited geographical areas such as offices or schools, play a key role in enhancing productivity and collaboration. However, when networks are not available, either due to infrastructure limitations or system failures, various problems such as limited access to information and collaboration arise, which hinder operational efficiency. This article examines the importance of training and learning to create small-scale network (LAN) simulations using Cisco Packet Tracer software. This study was conducted at SMP Islam Miftahul Huda to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of using network simulations in the teaching and learning process. With this training, users are expected to be able to understand network configuration, resource management, and troubleshooting, which will improve their ability to design, manage, and maintain computer networks. The results are expected to increase efficiency and productivity, as well as minimize potential problems in using LAN.

Abstract

Refractive errors are one of the causes of blindness in the world. More than 2 billion people wear glasses worldwide and more than 60% have uncorrected refractive errors. Lack of parental knowledge about this disorder, excessive use of electronic devices such as smartphones, especially for playing games, is a trigger for the onset of refractive errors. Examination of children is somewhat difficult to do, so periodic screening is necessary. Objective: This Community Service Program aims to increase parents' knowledge of this disorder and the examination of refractive errors in school-age children. Methods: The implementation of the activity consisted of counseling to 62 parents of students and examination of refractive errors in 93 students in grades 4 and 5. Results: There was an increase in parents' knowledge about Refractive Errors and the dangers of excessive use of smartphone electronic devices. Refractive errors were found in 65.59% of students, of which 81.97% did not have glasses as a visual aid. We make free glasses for students in need.

Abstract

In The rapid and significant development of artificial intelligence (AI) has formed a new habit, people are now using AI to facilitate daily activities. Concerns arise because the significant development of AI is not accompanied by adequate knowledge about the use of AI. To overcome the problems that arise, it is important for people to understand what AI does. The rapid development of technology and information, the use of technology-based tools such as ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) can be a potential in supporting activities in an Organisation. One of the prominent AI technologies is ChatGPT, a language model capable of understanding and generating text in a very human-like manner. The rapid development of technology and information, the utilisation of technology-based tools such as ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer). To maximise the potential of ChatGPT, an in-depth understanding of prompt engineering techniques is required. Prompt Engineering includes the art and science of designing inputs or ‘prompts’ given to AI models such as ChatGPT to produce desired outputs. With this technique, users can direct the model to provide answers that are more relevant, informative, and suited to specific needs. Jaringan Pemuda & Remaja Masjid Indonesia (JPRMI) has many positive activities in the organisation but does not yet have knowledge in the use of maximising the potential of ChatGPT, an in-depth understanding of prompt engineering techniques is needed. From this community service, the management of the Indonesian Mosque Youth & Teen Network (JPRMI), can understand the knowledge in using maximising the potential of ChatGPT and an in-depth understanding of prompt engineering techniques, as well as practical steps in making prompt engineering techniques in maximising the potential of ChatGPT in making detailed organisational schedules and planning activities from preparation to making reports in organisational activities.

Abstract

Digital invitations have become a popular choice due to their efficiency in spreading event information. Canva, a web-based graphic design tool, offers a simple yet comprehensive platform for creating digital invitations quickly and professionally. This study aims to explore the use of Canva in designing digital invitations, especially for users without a design background. Through practical methods and evaluations, results show that Canva enhances creativity and simplifies the process, making the creation of personalized and efficient invitations easier..

Abstract

Improving teacher competency is essential for enhancing the overall quality of education. Teachers play a strategic role in implementing effective learning processes. To support this, a training program was held from October 5th to 7th, 2024, at the Manise Hotel, Ambon City, Maluku Province. The training aimed to develop research, writing, and publication skills among teachers and educational personnel. The event was attended by 50 participants, including two education personnel and members of the Maluku Province Teacher Mobilization Team. The instructors for this training were Mr. La Mansur, Mr. Deni Hadiana, Mr. Misbah Fikrianto, Mrs. Rini Anita Putri, and Mr. Alfi Hasan. This initiative was supported by the Maluku Provincial Teacher Mobilization Centre, which mobilized the Mobilizing Action Community (KORA-KORA), known for its strong commitment to improving educational services, strengthening quality, and implementing various programs. The training used a combination of methods, including lectures, group discussions, collaborative learning, and project development. The goal was to make research enjoyable, encourage creative writing, and support participants in publishing their work. According to post-training observations, around 95% of the participants expressed satisfaction with the training and felt it was appropriate for their needs. Participants also hoped that similar activities would continue in the future. This continuous development of competencies ensures that teachers and educational personnel can sustain improvements in their professional capabilities.

Abstract

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the bacterium causing tuberculosis, which can affect the lungs. In 2012, Banten Province reported 7,327 cases per 100,000 population of pulmonary TB. In Lebak Regency, 115 children had TB at Mandala Community Health Center in Cibadak District. According to the Ministry of Health, TB control efforts include health promotion, TB surveillance, risk factor control, case finding and management, immunization, and preventive medication. Poor environmental conditions can increase TB transmission risks, necessitating prevention and management measures. Preventive actions include maintaining cleanliness and humidity in homes, regularly opening doors and windows for air circulation, allowing sunlight to enter, and covering the mouth when coughing. The objective of this activity is to enhance the knowledge and attitudes of health volunteers, the community, and health centers in early detection of pulmonary TB in their environments. Methods used include lectures, discussions, and quizzes to assess participants' understanding. This community service activity was conducted in June 2024. The outreach results showed an increase in knowledge about pulmonary TB prevention among participants. The community and health volunteers gained a better understanding of the disease.

Abstract

Health is an important human right, and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is an integral part of realizing this right. The Indonesian government has also accelerated the coverage of UHC participants through Presidential instructions. The commitment to encourage UHC is not only central but also regional, involving all ministries/institutions and regional governments as well as the role of the community in realizing equal and quality access to health services for all. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out community service activities in the form of socialization of population administration in the context of implementing the UHC (Universal Health Coverage) Health Insurance system in Batu Putih Village, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Background: Suboptimal nutritional status in children under five can lead to more serious health problems. Data from the 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) revealed that 6.23% of children experience undernutrition. The prevalence of undernutrition in children under five in West Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Barat-NTB), according to the 2018 Basic Health Research, is 20.5%, placing NTB second nationally after East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Objective: This study aims to describe the nutritional status of children under five in the Soriutu Primary Health Center working area. Methodology: This research employed a quantitative approach with an analytical observational design, using a descriptive observational design. The data used in this study were secondary data from the measurement of children under five at the Soriutu Primary Health Center in May 2024. Results: Data analysis of 37 children under five revealed several health issues, including severe stunting (81.1%), severe malnutrition (27%), and significantly low body weight (43.2%). Conclusion: Numerous nutritional issues among children under five were identified in the Soriutu Primary Health Center working area. It is recommended that the local Health Department plan more specific programs to address and reduce undernutrition in NTB.

Abstract

Fruits and vegetables are horticultural products. This product is easily damaged, so it needs good handling and sufficient attention. So that damage arising from poor handling can be reduced and avoided. Fast handling, sometimes by using materials that are not safe for humans, such as wax. Problems in handling fruits and vegetables occur not only in villages but also in urban areas. So it is necessary to understand and practice for women members of KWT Anggrek  in Merbau Mataram District, South Lampung Regency about the use of natural Edible Coatings that are safe for health. The use of Edible Coating is not just giving a thin layer on fruits and vegetables, but it is necessary to find the use of Edible Coating that does not make problems when eaten and of course is environmentally friendly, such as aloe vera, cassava, taro and sweet potato. The pre-test results of the Community Service Participants were 83.2. The post-test results showed an increase with a score of 96.8. This result proves that there is an increase in the understanding and skills of Community Service participants. The existence of this service is expected that KWT Anggrek  members can handle fruits and vegetables that are easily damaged and rotten so that they can last longer, namely by using Edible Coating Natural  that are easily obtained in the surrounding environment and are environmentally friendly.
