Abstract

This research aims to increase the creativity of grade 2 Al-Ghazali students at SDIT Al-Furqon Palangka Raya through the activity of coloring batik patterns. The methods used in this research were material presentation, practice, discussion and appreciation, with a total of 19 students participating. The research results show that the activity of coloring batik patterns provides space for students to explore colors and patterns, which encourages critical thinking skills and creative problem solving. This activity also introduces local culture and improves students' social skills, such as cooperation and empathy. The research concluded that the activity of coloring batik patterns was effective in developing creativity and fostering appreciation for Indonesian culture in elementary school children.

Abstract

Hoaxes about chemicals in food have spread in society and have caused misinformation that has a negative impact on food safety. Many natural and added chemicals in food are considered dangerous without strong scientific evidence. This community service aims to educate students at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan about the safety and dangers of chemicals in food using the educational application "Chemical Quest". This application integrates an interactive game approach that makes it easier for students to understand facts and myths related to chemicals in food. Service methods include initial presentations, application use, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results show an increase in students' understanding in detecting hoaxes and their ability to think critically regarding food safety issues. This article also discusses the effectiveness of gamification in increasing scientific literacy among students.

Abstract

This article discusses using digital technology to increase administrative efficiency in community organizations such as the PKK. The service focuses on providing training in using Microsoft Word and Excel to PKK women in Pangauban Village to overcome manual administration challenges. The research method used is community-based participatory research (CBPR), which involves the active participation of service subjects. The results show an increase in participants' digital skills, efficiency in managing data and minutes, and an increase in participants' confidence in using technology. This program positively impacts the empowerment of PKK women and has the potential to develop technology initiatives at the village level.

Abstract

This Community service activities "Provision of Natural Disaster Assistance for Landslides in Mbenti Village, Minyambaouw District" were carried out on July 1, 2024. The activity was carried out as a form of concern from lecturers and students of STMIK Kreatindo Manokwari for the victims of the landslide. The assistance distributed was in the form of basic necessities and clothing. The purpose of this community service activity is to help ease the material and moral burden of the victims of the landslide. The activity was divided into two stages, namely: fundraising and distribution of assistance. The results of providing assistance to the community were very happy and enthusiastic in receiving assistance and the victims were able to raise a new spirit in being active in the midst of the landslide that hit.

Abstract

One of the competencies that students must have in learning mathematics is the spatial ability to understand the material of spatial figures. Students' spatial skills can be trained and developed by using teaching aids. This community service activity was carried out to improve the understanding of male students of SMPIT Harapan Bunda Purwokerto about the material of spatial figures. Rubik's games are used as learning media/teaching tools to understand the concept of spatial figures and their properties. The theoretical and practical knowledge transfer methods were carried out in this community service activity. The activity began by giving a pre-test to see the students' understanding of the material of spatial figures. The results of the pre-test showed that 65.21% of students could answer each point correctly, while the results of the post-test showed an increase in students' understanding of 85.42%. Based on these data, it can be seen that the use of Rubik's learning media provided during the activity increased the students' understanding of mathematical concepts for the topic of spatial figures by 20.21%.

Abstract

Based on the situation analysis obtained from the literature review and visits to partner locations, various problems were found in kelurahan Ponjalae so that community service activities were in accordance with the needs of the partner community. The implementation of community service activities aims to increase understanding of the importance of investment. The seminar method is used as the main approach in this intervention. Financial literacy assistance activities are integrated into a series of comprehensive seminar sessions, including the delivery of basic and practical theories, then continued with interactive discussion sessions. Analysis of the effectiveness of this intervention was carried out by evaluating the increase in participant knowledge. The results showed a significant increase in understanding the theoretical and practical concepts of investment. This activity is a solution to the main problems faced by the community in kelurahan Ponjalae. The implications of this study include increasing the economic welfare of the community, strengthening social stability, increasing participation in economic development, increasing awareness of the importance of financial education, and increasing economic productivity.

Abstract

The utilization of media and social media (digital media) among teenagers should ideally be used mindfully. Mindfulness in utilizing the media means using the media wisely, being alert to the potential impacts caused by addiction and considering ethics because digital media content is widely spread in public spaces. This is because media content can be consumed by the public at large, so the impact can also be widespread. PKM activities are carried out through this socialization activity on the importance of digital media literacy at SMPN 2 in Bandar Lampung city. The provision of material is carried out through counseling activities, continuing with dialogue and exercises in preparing independent programs to make self-regulation in utilizing digital media. The purpose of this PKM activity is so that students of SMPN 2 Bandar Lampung city can utilize digital media more wisely and be able to make self-regulation in order to prevent addictive (addiction) to the use of digital media (social media). The conclusion of this PKM activity, has been able to increase the understanding and ability of media mindfulness so that students can develop self-regulation and self-protection programs in the media.

Abstract

The success of the implementation of socialization activities about online loans in Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency is due to supporting factors, including: 1. The great desire of the community to know and understand the material on the definition of personal data protection, personal data protection regulations; 2. There is support from leaders in Sangatta District, East Kutai Regency. In the implementation of this activity as a whole, it can reduce inhibiting factors, but these inhibiting factors also arise, including some participants who are not serious because they are not used to sitting for hours so that some shout and talk to each other with other participants, some enter and leave the room without permission.

Abstract

This article discusses the creation of environmental - themed murals at the Klawalu Village Office in Sorong City. Through collaboration between students and the local community, this project aims to raise environment awareness and highlight important issues such as waste, the ocean, and forests. Using mural art as a medium, the student succesfully depicted the environmental realities faced by Sorong City and inspired the younger generation to take action for environmental sustainibility. This mural project demonstrates that collaboration between higher education and the community can result in significant positive chages for our environment.

Abstract

The zero food waste socialization activity with the theme “From kitchen to nature: The role of family in zero food waste” was held at Rabbani Elementary School Hall, Nagritengah Village, Purwakarta District, Purwakarta Regency. This activity was carried out based on the problem of food waste management and environmental conservation. By targeting parents of students as the target participants of this socialization because of how important the role of the family is from home to start good habits for family members to always understand the concept of zero food waste. This activity goes through two stages, namely 1) the planning stage, where students take strategic steps such as identifying target participants, determining the time and place of implementation, determining the parties who will collaborate to the selection of the main points of material to be delivered by the Purwakarta Regency Environmental Service. 2) Implementation stage, pretest and posttest by parents and delivery of zero food waste material through interactive powerpoint followed by questions and answers conducted to understand more deeply related to the material that has been delivered or that has not been delivered and then continued by collecting feedback from participants to evaluate their understanding of food waste management and behavior change through interviews and also posttest results. The evaluation results show that most parents better understand the importance of managing food waste.
