Abstract

The leadership management mentoring program for female-headed households, implemented through the Women Empowerment School in Hutamonu Village (Tanah Wangi), Boliyohuto Subdistrict, Boalemo Regency, was designed to enhance women’s leadership capacity in managing both family and community affairs. Female-headed households often face multiple challenges, including limited decision-making power, financial constraints, and restricted participation in community development. Strengthening their leadership and management capacity is therefore essential to improving family welfare and fostering inclusive rural development. The objectives of the program were: (a) to strengthen the leadership capacity of female-headed households in managing families and communities; (b) to increase women’s awareness and abilities in decision-making and financial management; and (c) to improve the overall quality of life for women and their families in Hutamonu Village. The program was implemented through leadership training and mentoring activities, employing a survey research design with a qualitative approach, and the findings were presented in a descriptive narrative form. Data were collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both individual and collective changes. The results indicate that the program significantly improved the leadership skills of female-headed households, enhanced their awareness and decision-making capacity, and strengthened their financial management abilities. Furthermore, the program contributed to raising the quality of life for women and their families, while also increasing their participation in community development initiatives. In conclusion, the mentoring program demonstrates that targeted leadership and empowerment interventions can foster sustainable improvements in women’s capacities and promote equitable rural development.

Abstract

This study determined the adequacy of technological-pedagogical preparation of general high schools of Digos City Division and Davao del Sur Division in the K to 12 Curriculum. This utilized the descriptive survey to explore the perceived barriers that teachers in Grades 7 and 8 encounter on the readiness of the general high schools in implementing the K to 12 Curriculum. Comprehensive mapping was made to measure the technological and pedagogical preparedness. There were 55 teacher respondents from two school divisions of Davao del Sur and Digos City who served as participants of the study. Mean, frequency, and analysis of variance were employed in the analysis of the data gathered. It was found out that the technological-pedagogical preparations of general high schools in the K to 12 Curriculum is highly adequate. Three of the four indicators were found to be highly adequate, namely: equipment and facilities, vertical articulation of teachers and framework orientation. The other indicator, shop layout, was found to be moderately adequate. There was no significant difference on the degree of adequacy of technological-pedagogical preparations of general high schools in the K to 12 Curriculum. The findings captured the insights and experiences of the teachers, which were essential in determining exactly what general high schools lack in terms of technology and pedagogical preparedness. The study recommends that the DepEd and TESDA Officials should collaborate with school administrators in the inspections of schools in terms of building equipment and facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify, classify, and synthesize the development of branches and schools of thought in philosophy based on the latest academic literature. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with data search through the Google Scholar database using keywords such as schools of philosophy, branches of philosophy, and philosophy. Inclusion criteria included articles in English and Indonesian published between 2021 and 2025 that contain conceptual discussions of branches or schools of philosophy, while exclusion criteria included non-academic articles and popular works. Of the initial 200 articles, 15 studies met the criteria and were synthesized thematically. The results show five main branches (metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic, and aesthetics) and seven dominant schools (realism, idealism, pragmatism, existentialism, positivism, phenomenology, and postmodernism). The novelty of the study lies in the systematic mapping of the relationships between branches and schools. Its practical implications strengthen the foundation of the modern philosophy curriculum, while its contribution enriches epistemological understanding in contemporary philosophical studies.

Abstract

This article presents a systematic literature review of the philosophical foundations of education and social norms in Indonesia. The study explores how philosophical thought especially idealism, realism, and Pancasila values—influences the formation of character, ethics, and educational practices within Indonesian society. Drawing from various national and international studies, this review identifies three key themes: (1) the role of philosophical perspectives in shaping educational goals and curriculum; (2) the relationship between local wisdom and social norms; and (3) the importance of moral and cultural values in building a just and harmonious society. The findings reveal that education in Indonesia is deeply rooted in philosophical traditions emphasizing balance between intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth. Furthermore, local cultural values, such as harmony and mutual respect, continue to guide the moral formation of citizens. The study concludes that integrating philosophical principles with social norms is essential to develop an education system aligned with Indonesian identity and the ideals of Pancasila.

Abstract

This systematic literature review analyzes the interplay between philosophical approaches and religious thought. By reviewing 15 relevant journal articles, this study explores how philosophy and religion, despite differing truth criteria (revelation vs. reason), can be complementary in the search for life’s meaning. The analysis focuses on key thinkers such as Thomas Aquinas, Al-Ghazali, and Muhammad Iqbal, highlighting perennial philosophy as a bridge for interfaith dialogue and pluralism. The study concludes that the integration of science and religion is not only possible but essential for a holistic understanding of human existence and the promotion of global well-being. This integration enriches both intellectual and spiritual dimensions of life. The findings argue against a rigid separation between scientific, philosophical, and religious education. It implies that a holistic education system should integrate these disciplines to provide students with a more complete worldview. The study’s primary contribution is its clear and argued conclusion that a fragmented view of reality (where science, philosophy, and religion are separate) is insufficient. It makes a compelling case that a holistic understanding, which integrates these domains, is necessary for a complete picture of human existence.

Abstract

This study explored the role of the Philosophy of Science in scientific as the foundation for the advancement and development of scientific knowledge, particularly in addressing life’s problems that cannot be solved by empirical science alone. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to collect and analyze data from research articles, scientific journals, and relevant books that discuss the development and interrelation between philosophy and science. The review findings indicate that the Philosophy of Science plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between philosophical inquiry and scientific practice. It continues to grow within its boundaries while maintaining its essence as a source of radical criticism and substantial reasoning. The study highlights that philosophy serves as a critical dialogue partner for science, offering reflective insights that help scientists understand and refine their methodologies and theoretical assumptions. This study emphasizes the balanced position of philosophy among the sciences, showing its relevance not only as a theoretical discipline but also as an integral element in shaping the direction and ethics of scientific progress. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how philosophical reflection enhances the autonomy and specificity of science, reaffirming the significance of the Philosophy of Science as both a foundation and a guide in the evolution of scientific thought.
